Survivor Australia 2024 castaway Eden Porter is a self-confessed “pop culture aficionado” and a huge Survivor superfan.

He’s joined the Titans and has one goal in mind; to shake things up! Although he’d already formed some bonds in episode one with stronger members of his team, he wasn’t content with voting for an “easy option”. Instead, he helped instigate a tirade against the strong players, and poor Frankie was the first casualty.

So, who is Eden Porter?

Eden’s connection to former Survivor player George Mladenov

Eden has a connection to one of Australia’s most memorable Survivor players of all time, George Mladenov. George competed on Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn and Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains.

In December – over a month before the new season had started – Eden shared a photo of a New York Times article that called George “one of the most telegenic antagonists of any version of the show”. Eden didn’t caption the pic, however, they didn’t stop George from commenting.

“I expect you to be in the NY Times in 12 months,” he commented.

Innnteresting.

What do Eden do for work?

39-year-old Eden is an area manager in the cinemas and looks after eleven different cinema sites.

“I’m there to oversee everything and make sure the customer service is at a very high standard and all the sites are delivering what they expect,” he says in his Survivor bio video.

Eden chose to work in the movie industry because he loves stories.

“I’m a storyteller, that’s what I do,” he said. “I run a really fine line between being entertaining, and being annoying.”

Is Eden married?

Eden has been married to his wife Rachel Gill for just over two years.

In January he shared a photo from their wedding and penned an adorable message to her to celebrate their second anniversary.

“I need to take a moment to celebrate the amazing woman that allowed me to live out my dream while holding down the fort at home with Phoenix. I get to have a loved one visit everyday when I am with you. I am so lucky to have you in my life. Thank you for a wonderful first 2 years of marriage and I can’t wait for our next adventure together,” it reads.

Does Eden have kids?

Yup, you probably already guessed it from his super-cute message to his wife, but they share a son named Phoenix.

Here’s hoping for a Survivor challenge with a family reward so that we get to see the lil one!
