Netflix’s wholesome coming-of-age drama The Summer I Turned Pretty is almost back for season two, and it looks as though the new instalment will be as dramatic as the first.

The series is based on Jenny Han’s best-selling book trilogy of the same name with Season one following Bella “Belly” Conklin as she spent the summer at Cousin’s Beach with her family, finding herself in the middle of a love triangle with brothers Conrad and Jeremiah.

After Jeremiah went MIA during Belly’s debutante ball dance in the finale episode of season one, Belly decided that she wanted to be with Conrad.

The indecisiveness from Belly about which brother she prefers has left fans impatiently waiting for season two to find out if she will stay with Conrad for good.

What is season two about?

Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of her family friend Susannah’s cancer, she’s not sure this summer will be the same. When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of their beach house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together — and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.

Who’s in season two of The Summer I Turned Pretty?

Season two will see the majority of the original cast return, with Lola Tung playing Isabel “Belly” Conklin, Christopher Briney as Conrad Fisher and Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah Fisher.

Some of the other returning cast members include:

  • Rachel Blanchard as Susannah Fisher.
  • Sean Kaufman as Steven Conklin.
  • Alfredo Narciso as Cleveland Castillo.
  • Colin Ferguson as John Conklin.
  • Tom Everett Scott as Adam Fisher.

Minnie Mills will not be returning as Shayla.

When will it air?

Season Two of The Summer I Turned Pretty launches with three episodes on July 14 on Prime Video with new episodes following weekly until the season finale on Friday 18.
