We are heading back to the cattle ranch one last time for the epic final instalment of your mum and dad’s favourite smash hit drama series, Yellowstone on Stan. 

If you aren’t familiar with Yellowstone, it chronicles the Dutton family led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. The drama of course arises as the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park. 

Co-created by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, Hell or High Water and Sicario) and John Linson, Yellowstone since its launch has shattered viewing records in the US with the Season 4 premiere garnering over 14 million total viewers and the finale delivering over 15 million total viewers. 

What will the final instalment of season 5 be about?

While no specific details have been released regarding the final instalment, we can get a good sense of what might go down due to what happened in the first instalment. We saw John Dutton (Kevin Costner) take office as the Governor of Montana, with the Dutton family fighting a war from all sides. As the Dutton family will soon find out, power has a price.
