Once again, Wyatt found himself at the centre of mounting frustration from The Block 2026 fans.
As Living, Dining and Alfresco Week got underway this week, Wyatt and Chantel were still reeling from narrowly missing out on the previous room win because Rick and Tayla played their bonus-point gnome.
“We definitely deserved to win,” Chantel said after reviewing Rick and Tayla’s room. “Damn the gnome!” added Wyatt.
With the public holiday limiting what work could be done, Wyatt decided to tackle insulation himself — only for the batts to mysteriously disappear. It was later revealed neighbour Adam had moved them into his own house as a prank.
Things only got worse when a delivery mix-up left Wyatt unable to push ahead with other jobs, prompting him to stomp around the worksite and complain that he had been left “standing around sucking farts all day”. Lovely!
Wyatt was previously slammed online after a fractured tooth stopped him from working on site, but cameras still showed him heading to the gym. His lack of painting experience, plus Chantel and Wyatt’s earlier threat to quit, has made this couple one of the most divisive this season — and viewers have plenty to say about Wyatt.
The Block viewers slam Wyatt’s latest antics
The Block fans have been sharing their views on Wyatt on Reddit — and it’s not all positive. “I’ve gotta ask, can anyone remember seeing Wyatt do anything other than standing still?” read one comment.
“Went to the gym. And told everyone he went to the gym,” one replied. “I so fricken tired of the ‘I WANT TO GO THE GYM’ from the toddler! Pathetic, build the damn room for the show you signed up for,” wrote another.
A common criticism online is that Wyatt is often shown complaining. “Wyatt is such a rude little sooky baby,” wrote one opinionated fan.
Others have suspected that Foreman Dan might not be Wyatt’s biggest fan. “Dan does not like Wyatt,” claimed one user. “Hell, I don’t think Chantal [sic] likes Wyatt,” added another.
Of course, this is just baseless speculation. Chattr spoke to Chantel in an exclusive interview where she shared that her relationship with Wyatt is vastly different to how some fans perceive them on TV.
“We have such a beautiful relationship,” she told Chattr.
“Wyatt is an amazing stepdad to my little kiddies and they’re so obsessed with him just like I am. We really encourage each other to grow and lift each other up, which I haven’t experienced in previous relationships.”
