It’s safe to say that Gia Fleur will go down as one of the most controversial brides in the history of Married at First Sight (MAFS).
Between her constant bickering with Bec Zacharia and her tumultuous relationship with Scott McCristal, Gia may not have endeared herself to all of MAFS’ viewers but… look, she sure was never boring.
And now, she’s ready to mention it ALL in a wide-ranging interview on the latest episode of Where’s Your Head At, hosted by Love Island’s Anna McEvoy and Matt Zukowski.
And wow, she had a lot to say.
Gia from MAFS reveals what viewers didn’t see from Scott
Echoing sentiments she’s made in other interviews, Gia believes that her MAFS partner Scott got a good edit. “I’m not saying he’s a bad person, but there are a lot of things that he’s done that haven’t made it to air either,” she said.
“That’s his edit. It wouldn’t make sense if he suddenly had a scene where he’s saying something mean about a woman.”
Gia went on to claim that Scott made an X-rated comment at their wedding that didn’t make it to air. “He said to me on our wedding night, ‘Thank God you have fake tits, because if you didn’t, I would leave.’ He was like, ‘I would never date someone who doesn’t have fake tits.'”
Gia then alleged that Scott asked her: “‘Do any of the other girls have fake tits? Are they hotter than you?’ I was like, what? That’s disgusting,” Gia claimed.
“There were so many things that he said and no one knows.”
Gia went on to claim that Scott restricted what they could share with the experts at the Commitment Ceremony. She said she wanted to discuss that she had told Scott she loved him, but he didn’t say it back, but he resisted. “I tried to bring it up and he was like, don’t bring it up. He didn’t want me to make him look bad ever.”
That said, Gia did admit to self-sabotaging their relationship in the later stages of the experiment, especially by Home Stays. “I was also looking for a problem. I feel like I was very much in my self-sabotage moment of the relationship, where I was like, find something else wrong.”
Gia from MAFS reveals how she met her current boyfriend.
Gia is currently dating former Love Triangle contestant Alan Wallace, a 34-year-old sparky and former semi-pro AFL player. And it turns out, he had a weird connection to Scott. “My boyfriend now used to date Scott’s ex,” Gia said.
She reckons this was the ex that Scott was still in contact with during MAFS. “The one he was talking to. So I was like, this is so juicy,” she told the podcast. She reached out to Alan while filming MAFS to gather information about Scott.
“This guy dated her after Scott. So I’m like, he might know info,” she recalled. “I was like, give me something! I’m dating this guy. I’m on MAFS.”
Alan followed Gia on Instagram, they started to DM but only reconnected at an event after MAFS filming was done and dusted.
Gia shares what viewers didn’t see before the final dinner party.
Gia addressed the final dinner party, where Bec appeared to be encouraging Gia to speak her truth to Scott, but later said in a confessional that she was trying to make Gia “look like a dick”.
“The thing that really upset me is that three days before that dinner party, I wasn’t going to go to the dinner party. She [Bec] was the one on the phone to me every day when I was crying,” Gia said.

“She was telling me, he still wants to be with you. He’s written you a letter and he wants to forgive everything. And I was like, ‘Oh, does he still want to be with me?’ At this time, I still was on the fence about whether I wanted to be with Scott, so I bought into it,” she continued.
“Oh my God, I was played so hard.”
It’s safe to say there’s no love lost between these two. “She’s blocked. I don’t speak to Bec. I haven’t spoken to Bec since a week after my birthday.”
Gia shares who she’s still friends with from the MAFS 2026 cast
Gia admits that she’s cut ties with the bulk of the MAFS cast, and only has two friends from the show: Chris Robinson and Rebecca Zukowski.
She didn’t have overly kind words to say about a lot of the others. In a game where Gia had to sum up each cast member in one word, she called Alyssa ‘fake’, Bec a ‘bitch’, Danny a ‘liar’, Stella ‘harsh’, and she referred to her former friend, Juliette, as a ‘devil woman’. Bit harsh, no?
“I’m not friends with half of those people. I don’t wish them bad,” she concluded.
Gia got candid about the impact MAFS has had on her daughter
Gia expressed some regrets about how her behaviour on the show had impacted her young daughter. “I should have thought more about her. I’m a mum,” she said. “She’s not going to watch it. I mean, unless she’s older, she watches it. I’m a bit embarrassed by what she could see and go, Oh God, mum was a bit of a bitch.”
But Gia can’t believe some of the despicable messages that MAFS viewers have sent to her. “[One message] basically said that you’re disgusting and I hope your daughter gets bullied enough that she kills herself,” Gia recalled. “You can hate me on a TV show and that’s fine, but what’s she done? She wasn’t on the TV show. She’s an innocent nine-year-old child.”
Gia said in person, people are nice to her face but save their most vicious thoughts for her DMs. “People take the hate so far and so seriously. They watch the show like they think they know me now,” she said.
“I’ve even had messages where people are like, can you be a good mum for once and put her in foster care? I’m like, oh my God. You have no idea what kind of life she lives.”
