The TV WEEK Logie Awards are happening on August 16, but the biggest reality TV stars from this year won’t be in attendance. According to Daily Mail, the entire MAFS cast was snubbed, along with The Golden Bachelor and The Block contestants.
While golden couple Filip Gregov and Stella Mickunaite seemed like the obvious choice to attend the star-studded celebration, their messy split put an end to that. “Stella and Filip were once considered the season’s fairytale success story, but after their split there was little reason to invite them as a couple,” a TV insider spilled.
“Individually, neither has maintained the same profile they enjoyed immediately after the experiment. With seats limited, organisers were always more likely to give those places to the show’s experts.”
Fan favourites Scott McCristal, Joel Moses, Luke Fourniotis and Rachel Gilmore are also said to have been snubbed. The more controversial ‘villains’ of MAFS 2026 — Bec Zacharia, Gia Fleur and Danny Hewitt — will also not be in attendance.
“The Logies is not a MAFS reunion,” the source declared.
It’s assumed that MAFS experts Alessandra Rampolla and John Aiken will attend the ceremony instead of the cast.
Who else was snubbed from The Logies?
The Golden Bachelor couple Sunny Long and Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden told Daily Mail they had not received an invitation. Their show has been nominated for the Best Structured Reality Program award.
“Bear and Sunny thought an invitation might arrive because The Golden Bachelor is nominated. As the ceremony drew closer, it became clear that it probably wasn’t coming,” an insider spilled.
“The official line is that seats are limited, but there are cast members who feel more controversial personalities have made organisers wary of inviting anyone from the season.”
The Block cast have also apparently been snubbed.
Did Lynne McGranger also get snubbed by The Logies?
This follows news that Home and Away star Lynne McGranger, who won the Gold Logie last year, wasn’t invited to this year’s award ceremony.
“I was talking to Larry [Emdur] the other day and he said, ‘What?’ And I went ‘look, I think it was an oversight’ but, honestly, I’m not crying myself to sleep,” Lynne told the Sunday Telegraph.
“Maybe this time next year if I do get an invitation, which I expect I will, maybe I’ll go, maybe I’ll present or whatever.”
In a statement to TV Tonight, representatives for the TV WEEK Logies dismissed this.
“The TV WEEK Logie Awards sent an invitation back in June to Lynne’s agent and a reminder was later confirmed as received,” they said. “Lynne’s manager subsequently confirmed Lynne will be away and formally declined via the invitation portal.”
