People are betting on who will become CEO of Waystar Royco on Succession

And the result is astonishing.

**WARNING: This article contains spoilers for season four of Succession!**

As far as television events go, the Succession finale is the creme de la creme. The poignant episode will mark the end of the Roy family’s story, and we’ll finally find out who will fill Logan Roy’s shoes in the highly coveted position of CEO of Waystar Royco.

Ever since Logan (Brian Cox) not-so-tragically died in episode three of season four, many of the main characters have been jockeying for the position of power.

While it may seem a bit of a no-brainer that Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) will step up and claim his rightful place as Chairman and CEO, betting odds actually suggest that a much more questionable character will nab the role.

Who is tipped to be Logan Roy’s successor?

Australian betting site Sportsbet bizarrely has cousin Greg (played by Nicholas Braun) listed as the most likely to “win” and become CEO with shocking odds. Greg has a return of $2.50, which means that for every $1 bet on him, $2.50 will be returned. The stats are pretty wild, considering Greg’s loose relation to Logan, and his perpetual – yet slightly endearing – f*ck ups that he consistently manages to make, but could have something to do with an Esquire article that was pushing for him to be Logan’s successor.

Who else has high odds of replacing Logan as CEO of Waystar Royco?

In second place, and sitting at a return of $3.25 is Siobhan Roy (Sarah Snook), and in third is Tom Wambsgan (Matthew Macfadyen) at $4.00. Logan’s son Kendall sits way down at number four, with betting odds of $4.

Can I still bet on Cousin Greg?

Unfortunately, if you’re looking to make a quick buck off the possibility of Cousin Greg becoming Logan’s successor, you’re too late to bet in Australia.

Sportsbet has officially closed off all Succession bids, as the show’s finale is airing today.

Stream the Succession season four finale on Foxtel Now and BINGE from May 29.
