If you’re a millennial you’re probably going to know the 90s boy band Dream Home’s Brad was in

It's SUCH a banger

Dream Home’s Brad Pinto isn’t exactly a stranger to the spotlight, the dad of four was in a very popular boy band back in the 90s.

During an interview with Chattr, Brad revealed that he was a moment of the band CBD, which released the iconic single Let’s Groove in 1995.

“The band was CDB it was like a harmony, R&B kind of band,” he said. “It was a great part of life, having fun doing what we loved with mates and getting to see the world. It’s just been an amazing experience, to have my brothers in the band as well.”

During their time together, CDB (which stands for Central Dandenong Boys) produced backing vocals for Peter Andre when he supported Madonna on her Australian The Girlie Show World Tour.

They also had a number two hit with their cover of Earth, Wind & Fire’s Let’s Groove, and success with their debut studio album, Glide with Me which peaked at number six on the ARIA charts in 1995.

While CDB’s heyday was certainly the 90s, Brad revealed that the band is still together.

“Now we’re actually a man band. Not as frequently obviously and not as much touring as before, because everyone’s got families,” he said.

Brad on Dream House

Brad is competing on Dream Home alongside his wife Mel, and the pair have put forward their Northcote home, where they and their four children live, for renovation by their teammates.

“We’ve been trying to renovate for at least six years when we started the process six years ago, and then COVID hit and Brad’s in the arts so we lost income there and we were like, ‘Oh gosh we can’t build’ and then we came out of COVID we really can’t afford to do a full renovation,” Mel explained.

“The banks are really not wanting to lend much where we’ve got four dependents. Between educating [the kids] and then just everyday cost of living could not afford the build,” she added.

For that reason, Mel revealed that Dream Home was a “no-brainer”, because it would mean getting a fully renovated house for their family.

“If you’ve got a chance, why wouldn’t you take such an amazing opportunity?” Brad added.

Dream Home premieres at  7.00pm on Sunday, 26 May on Channel 7 and 7plus.
