It’s time to hop into the Tardis because Disney+ has just released the trailer for the 2024 season of Doctor Who starring Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa.

The clip, released on March 25, highlights numerous guest stars including Indira Varma as The Duchess and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum, Jinkx Monsoon as a musical villain! We bow down!

Official Synopsis

The Doctor (Gatwa) and his companion Ruby Sunday (Gibson) travel across time and space, with adventures from the Regency era in England to war-torn future worlds. 

Throughout their adventures in the Tardis — a time-travelling ship shaped like a police box — they encounter incredible friends and dangerous foes, including a terrifying bogeyman, and the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet!

Doctor Who’s next instalment will be released alongside The Church on Ruby Road (which premiered in December 2023) on May 11 at 10.00 am AEST on Disney+, with new episodes released every Friday.

Who is in the cast?

Starring alongside Ncuti and Millie are Game of Thrones’ Indira Varma and Henpocalypse!‘ Callie Cooke. They are joined by Anita Dobson, Yasmin Finney, Michelle Greenidge, Bonnie Langford, Jinkx Monsoon, Jemma Redgrave, Lenny Rush and Angela Wynter.
