Stan Documentary Revealed: Trafficked will follow on from journalist Nick McKenzie’s 60 minutes story

The original film is a raw, gritty observational documentary.

Australian streaming service Stan continues it’s original documentary slate with Revealed: Trafficked.

Premiering on March 12, the original film is a raw, gritty observational documentary exposing what is one of Australia’s largest human trafficking operations, and challenges the government to take action on a largely under-reported crime that is rife in Australia.

Directed by documentary filmmaker Sascha Ettinger-Epstein (The Pink House), the narrative will draw upon the incredible 60 Minutes story first reported by journalist Nick McKenzie (pictured).

From Melbourne and Queensland to South Korea and London, Nick alongside South Korean journalist Jiyoon Kim from Investigative Agency Newstapa, uncovers how vulnerable women are targeted, meeting with a young survivor who was brainwashed and coerced into enduring shocking conditions as a sex worker.

Last year, Mckenzie alongside The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald, revealed how international criminals were circumventing laws and trafficking vulnerable Asian women to work in the sex industry in Australia.

Stan Original Revealed: Trafficked will premiere on March 12, only on Stan.
