The end is nigh for The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel with Prime Video releasing the trailer for the fifth and final season.
Premiering with three episodes on April 14 (with new episodes dropping weekly), the Emmy Award-winning series will wrap up the groundbreaking show and along with it, the story of fast-talking Midge Maisel.
With the show’s final performance airing on May 26, we thought it was only right to delve into the Maisel’s final hoorah. And what a hoorah it will be!
What will the final season of The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel be about?
As seen in the trailer (below), Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) finds herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away.
“I want a big life,” she says. “I wanna break every single rule there is!”
For Susie Myerson (Alex Borstein) she’s running a “very busy office now”, and Midge’s parents, Abe (Tony Shalhoub) and Rose (Marin Hinkle), well, they’re having a “run of bad luck”.
Midge herself is grappling with the fact that it’s “one step forward, two steps back”, and she’s “tired of it!” before “it’s showtime!” and she’s about to get her big break!
The epic, hilarious, and emotional final season of this beloved series will takes us through time for a spectacular send-off and we are truly not ready!
Who will be in the series finale?
Given the series was created by Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman Palladino, no season would be complete without the return of some familiar faces including Milo Ventimiglia (does this guy even age?!) and Kelly Bishop.
Alongside the guest stars, as well as Brosnahan, Shalhoub, Borstein and Hinkle, returning cast include Michael Zegen as Joel, Kevin Pollak as Moishe, Caroline Aaron as Shirley, SAG Award winner Reid Scott as Gordon Ford, Alfie Fuller as Dinah, Jason Ralph as Mike Carr and Luke Kirby as Lenny Bruce.
