MAFS 2024: Ash says Madeleine is “really good at turning it on when the cameras are on”

"It played into my doubt"

Ash Galanti has revealed what he really thinks of being paired with one of the most unpredictable MAFS brides ever, Madeleine Jevic.

As they exchanged vows at the altar, Madeleine told Ash that she was “weird” and “strange”, and their MAFS journey so far has certainly been that.

In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Ash told the publication that Madeleine, who’s an actor-turned-medium, plays up when she knows she’s being filmed.

“She can turn it on very well… She’s really good at turning it on when the cameras are on,” he said.

Ash said that made him question whether she was on the show for the right reasons.

“I was like, ‘Is she genuine? Like, why is she on here? Is she acting?’ So it played into my doubts.”

Madeleine wasn’t what Ash was expecting

Ash told the outlet that tends to go for women with South East Asian features.

“She wasn’t what I was expecting,” he said. “When I turned around, I was like, ‘Oh, wow, like she’s definitely beautiful. She’s really good on the eye’. But in terms of what I asked for, in the looks department, it’s not normally what I go for.'”

Madeleine’s huge personality has been portrayed on the TV show, and Ash said that she’s exactly the same in real life.

“[She’s] absolutely as wild as I remember,” Ash said of watching the show back. “The proof is in the pudding. Watching the way she goes about things, I think you need to be a patient type of guy if you’re going to work in a marriage with Madeleine.”

“To be honest, at the wedding, it was like an out of body experience. Though my body was there, I wasn’t really picking up all the signals.”

Ash was perplexed by some of Madeleine’s actions

In the first two episodes that she appeared in, Madeleine managed to burst into tears in front of Ash while looking at cows and told him that she loved him at the vows.

“That’s pretty weird, telling someone you love them when you first meet them,” Ash said of their wedding.

He also questioned what the medium cried when they were walking around a winery and came across a bunch of cows.

“I was like, “Why is she crying over looking at cows?” He said.
