Seven has announced a brand new comedy quiz show that promises to deliver an entertaining and hilarious experience as people of all ages and backgrounds find out if they are of the first order.

Unlike most quizzes, general knowledge isn’t what it takes to excel, but logic and common sense!

Hosted by Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies, this boundary-pushing quiz show will see ONE winner score the ultimate prize. $100k and bragging rights!

When does The 1% Club air?

The 1% Club premieres 7.30pm Wednesday, 26 April on Channel 7 and 7plus.

What is The 1% Club?

One hundred contestants will begin every show, but to make it to the end and win the top prize, contestants must correctly answer a question only 1% of the country would get right.

Sound hard? That’s because it is!

Navigating wordplays, everyday facts and pop culture references, contestants will first be asked a question that 90% of the country got right (based on a sample of answers given by people across the country) and then progress to questions that smaller and smaller percentages answered correctly. 

Who is the host?

Jefferies — whose real name is Geoff James Nugent — is known for his irreverent style and ability to find humour in even the most controversial topics.

He is also a comedian, actor, and writer with dual Australian and American citizenship. He created and starred in the American FX sitcom Legit and the Comedy Central late-night show The Jim Jefferies Show.
