It may be Taylor Swift’s week with the launch of her new album; however, boyfie Travis Kelce has some news of his own.
On April 17, Prime Video announced the production of Are You Smarter than a Celebrity, a spinoff of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, hosted by the one and only, Travis.
“I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are you Smarter than a Celebrity,” Travis said in a statement.
“The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining. I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up,”

What will happen in the TV Show?
According to Prime Video, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? will “offer a fun, new twist on the premise of the original popular format. Each game will welcome an adult contestant who will rely on a classroom full of celebrities from stage, screen, and sports to help them answer 11 questions on a range of subjects, pulled from elementary [primary school] curriculum, to win a $100,000 prize.
“They are not competing against the stars…they’re enlisting their help and, in some cases, can even “cheat” off them.
“And on the final question, worth $100,000, the contestant selects one celebrity to discuss the answer with before locking in. The final question is always at the 6th-grade level!”
When will it be released and what platform?
Prime Video will play home to the new series; however, not start date has been released (at the time of publication).
Who is Travis Kelce?
In case you’ve been living under a pop-cultureless rock, Travis is one of the most recognisable names in sports and pop culture.
While literally 99% of the world had no idea who he was until he started dating Taylor, Travis’ team — the Kansas City Chiefs — also won the Super Bowl LVIII.
The 34-year-old is also an eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro, and is arguably one of the greatest tight ends of all time (whatever that means).
He’s also the co-host of the charting-topping sports podcast, New Heights, and was also the singular suitor in Catching Kelce — a dating competition series, where 50 women from 50 states vied to win the heart of the pro football player.
Who will the celebrities be?
We have no idea, but it’s the US, so they’re bound to be good… however, we doubt Ms Swift will be joining in on the fun!
