Eggs and baskets at the ready: Love Island UK is returning for a saucy winter season

I got a TEXT!!!

The Love Island UK Gods have answered our prayers, delivering us ANOTHER season of head-turning, vibes and chat-pulling less than a month after the Aussie season wrapped up.

Premiering on January 18 on 9Now, season nine of Love Island UK will see a new bunch of hotties enter the villa to get their graft on, put their eggs in baskets, and find their type (on paper).

Because hemispheres are a thing, this season will take place in a luxury villa in Cape Town, South Africa, instead of the usual stunning setting of Mallorca, Spain.

Who will be the next Molly Mae, Tommy, Tasha and Andrew or Austen and Claudia and who will get the ick or fight to the end by milking friend Island…

Who is entering the 2023 Love Island UK villa?

So far, we’ve met the first 10 singles looking for love (or PrettyLittleThing brand deal, no shame).

Anna-May: Payroll administrator (20),
Haris: TV salesman(21),
Kai: Science and PE teacher (24),
Lana: Makeup artist (25),
Olivia: Ring girl and actress (27),
Ron: Financial advisor (25),
Shaq: Airport security officer (24),
Tanya: Student (biomedical science) and influencer (22),
Tanyel: Hair stylist (26)
Will: Farmer (23).

What’s new this season on Love Island UK 2023?

Our favourite jokester and narrator, Iain Stirling, will be back to take the piss out of the Islanders, and a NEW host will join the show.

Taking over from Laura Whitmore, UK TV and radio personality Maya James has been confirmed as the 2023 winter season host.

While the 28-year-old was rumoured to be a top pick to replace Laura, the news was confirmed on Love Island’s Instagram account.

Stream Love Island UK on 9Now from Wednesday, January 19 at 6PM AEDT.
