Abby Lee Miller’s girls are back in the first-look trailer for Lifetime’s EXPLOSIVE Dance Moms: The Reunion — but where da fuq are Maddie and Mackenzie ‘Kenzie’ Ziegler and Nia Sioux?!
While they are nowhere to be seen, the two-hour special event will feature international superstar JoJo Siwa plus Chloe Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, Kendall Vertes, and Kalani Hilliker, joined by their “moms”, who are all together in the same room for the first time in ten years!
“We would not be here without Dance Moms. it was literally the stepping stone into who we are today,” Kendall tells the group during the trailer. And no s**t.
Meanwhile, Jojo — arguably the most famous in the group — seems to throw shade at the missing dancers and their parents.
“Them not being here is kind of like, ‘Let me erase my past, pretend it never happened, shove it down the drain.’ When it’s like – that’s why you are who you are,” she said.
The reunion comes five years after the show ended on September 10, 2019, and basically, the OGs are so grown up, it is making us here at Chattr feel very, very old, but we genuinely cannot wait for all of the tea!
What can we expect from the Dance Moms Reunion Special?
While Maddie, Kenzie, Nia AND Abby are missing (the latter for good reason), there are some sweet moments with the girls who have *mostly* had each other’s backs over the years. But old tensions are still running high between their mothers; which, if you can remember, was the literal reason the show was created in the first place…
Hopefully, we’ll get a lot of juicy goss about Abby, who not only was a genuine dance tyrant but served prison time for bankruptcy fraud (through a cancer battle) while she taught at her self-titled dance studio.
On top of all this, the girls look back on old footage including the fight between Abby and Kelly Hyland that ultimately led to Brooke never dancing again! WILD.
When will the Dance Moms Reunion air?
The special will arrive on US screens on May 1; however, we’re not 100% sure who will be releasing it in Australia.
What we do know is that you can stream every episode of Dance Moms on 9Now as well as Apple TV!
