Hello, Mr Bond!

It looks like the creators of James Bond need look no further for their leading man because if these new reports are anything to go by, Daniel Craig’s replacement has been found!

Since the first film, Dr No, was released in 1962, there have been a grand total of seven actors (including Daniel) to portray 007. These men include Sean Connery, David NivenGeorge LazenbyRoger MooreTimothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan.

And now, Avengers: Age of Ultron actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is reportedly suiting up to play the infamous moniker.

According to the New York Post the 32-year-old Brit has emerged as a frontrunner with the Daily Mail reporting that he had a secret audition in 2022.

Reportedly Aaron’s screen test went “very well”; however, nothing has been officially confirmed. However, back in November, a source told The Sun that he was already impressing the big wigs!

“He is now one of the frontrunners,” the source told the outlet.

“Aaron has impressed bosses so much that he has filmed one of the franchise’s famous gun barrel teaser scenes, something all the actors do. That move takes him a step closer to signing a deal.”

Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Richard Madden and Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page are also being considered.

Who Is Aaron Taylor-Johnson?

The actor is no stranger to the spotlight, having already nabbed a Golden Globe in 2017 for Best Supporting Actor in Nocturnal Animals.

However, before this, he rose to fame in 2010’s superhero spoof Kick-Ass and has since appeared in Kick-Ass 2 (2013), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), A Million Little Pieces (2018), Tenet (2020) and more recently Bullet Train (2022) opposite Vinnie Jones.
