The highly-anticipated series Daisy Jones & the Six is almost here!
Based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, the musical-drama series from Amazon Studios (and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production company), is premiering on March 3 on Prime Video.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to binge the series, as episodes will be released weekly up until March 24.
What is Daisy Jones & the Six about?
The series follows the original story of the iconic 1970s band Daisy Jones & the Six, fronted by two feuding yet charismatic lead singers, Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin).
The official synopsis reads: Drawn together by personal and artistic chemistry, their complicated musical partnership catapulted the band from obscurity to unbelievable fame. Then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they suddenly called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth.
Meet the cast of Daisy Jones & the Six
Riley Keough (Daisy Jones)
Actress and model Riley Keough is the daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley and the granddaughter of Elvis Presley.
Keough’s acting debut came in 2010 when she won the role of Marie Currie in The Runaways.
Keough steps into the lead role. In an interview with The New York Times, she said, “Daisy is complicated. I didn’t identify with Daisy’s desire to sing and write songs, because that’s something I had never done.
“What I connected with was Daisy’s artistry and how she felt, not being taken seriously as a young woman.”
Sam Claflin (Billy Dunne)
Sam Claflin will tackle the male lead role of Billy Dunne. Billy is the lead singer and songwriter of The Six, a blues-rock band that he started in high school alongside his younger brother, Graham.
Claflin is best known for his role as Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games movies.
Camila Morrone (Camila Dunne)
Camila Morrone plays Camila Dunne, Billy’s girlfriend. She told Vulture that her character “follows the love of her life in his pursuit of rock stardom, only to discover her own potential along the way.”
Suki Waterhouse (Karen Sirko)
Suki Waterhouse plays keyboardist Karen Sirko. As a musician in real life, Sirko is able to put her skills to use. She has also starred in The White Princess (2017) and The Divergent Series: Insurgent (2015).
Will Harrison (Graham Dunne)
Will Harrison will rock out on the guitar as Graham Dunne, Billy’s brother. Harrison has also starred in This Is A Film About My Mother (2022) and Manhunt (2023).
Josh Whitehouse (Eddie Roundtree)
Bassist Eddie Roundtree is portrayed by Josh Whitehouse, who is most known for his roles in the Valley Girl remake and the BBC television series Poldark (2015).
Sebastian Chacon (Warren Rhodes)
Played by Sebastian Chacon, Warren Rhodes is the drummer of The Six. He is described as the most laid-back member of the band.
