Married at First Sight’s Cameron Woods is “lucky to be alive” after being rushed to hospital

He fell seven metres during a night out with friends.

Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Cameron Woods was hospitalised on January 28 after falling seven metres to the ground during a night out with friends in Darwin.

The 27-year-old — who has just made his debut in the new season of the hit Nine show — was rushed to hospital following the incident, where he was observed for several days after fracturing his ribs, spine and kidney.

According to the Daily Mail, who first reported on the incident, he is now “on the mend” however, there were “fears” that he wouldn’t be able to walk again.

“Cam is getting better and just needs to lay off the heavy lifting,” a source told the outlet.

“The nasty accident couldn’t have come at a worse time for him, but he is back on his feet now and is in therapy.”

The MAFS groom was one of the first participants in Season 10 to walk down the aisle during the January 28 premiere. He is coupled up with Lyndall Grace, an accountant who lives with a cystic fibrosis diagnosis.

The pair have come out the gate strong, looking like one of the more successful relationships so far.
