Season Seven MAFS bride Cathy Evans has revealed that her 36-year-old brother tragically passed away on Boxing Day.

The reality star, who is of Thai and Welsh heritage, shared the sad news on Instagram in her native Thai language.

“On Dec. 26, early in the morning, I lost my brother too soon in this life. Unexpectedly and suddenly I flew to New Zealand for hours after hearing what happened,” the translation reads.

“His last day on earth was Christmas Day. Spending it with his newlywed wife, son and family. I’m sorry I wasn’t home for Christmas.”

Cathy explained that her brother suffered a cardiac arrest in New Zealand, where he lives. She posted a link to a GoFundMe that was started to raise money to repatriate his body to Thailand.

“I’m glad to know that you’re passing on that peace, love, and happiness in your heart after all you’ve been through and that you’re surrounded by all your loved ones “

Cathy also shared a list of things she was manifesting for 2024, and noted, “Also adding to this, living life to the fullest, for my brother”.

Cathy’s heartbreaking social media tribute to her brother was flooded with sympathy messages from her friends and family.

“I’m so sorry for your loss Cathy❤️ sending you and your family lots of love and prayers during this time,” one person wrote.

Another penned, “Losing a sibling always seems to be something not many understand. We seem to be the “forgotten” grievers. I’m sending you so much love right now. Please take it easy on yourself.”

“I’m so sorry for you and your families loss 🥺 it’s never easy losing a loved one sending so much love your way cat ❤️,” a third wrote.
