Home and Away has teased a devastating shooting coming up in Summer Bay, and fans think they know who gets shot. A press release for the episode teases that one resident of the Bay may take their last breath, hinting that the shooting could be fatal.
Recent episodes of Home and Away have seen an uptick in crime, and there’s been a string of break-ins in the lead-up to the dramatic shooting. Among those who have been presented as possible victims are Lacey (played by Sophea Pennington) — who discovered that the lock to the Summer Bay Fit gym was broken when she went to open up, meaning the culprit could still be inside — and Abigail (played by Hailey Pinto), who has strong ties to the Bay’s police department.
But, with Levi, Mackenzie, Mali, Eden, Cash, Abigail, Archie, Dana, Richie, Remi, Sonny, Justin, Leah, Tane, Harper, Alf, Roo, David, Jo and Lacey all featured in the promo for the shooting episode, it could be any of them.
Who do fans think gets shot on Home and Away?
In the promo trailer that teases the shooting, Jo and Lacey can be seen comforting each other at the hospital. Other clips show Mackenzie crying and Levi leaving in tears, suggesting that the shooting victim is neither of those four.
An eagle-eyed viewer pointed out exactly this, as well as some other clues she believes suggest that it’s Abigail who gets shot.
“I’d say Abby because it’s got Lacey crying (best friend), Richie looking upset (new boyfriend), Eden crying (sister), Levi crying (brother), and Marley upset (ex boyfriend). All of those [people] are going to be the most upset over Abby, Lacey wouldn’t be that upset over Mac or anything,” a fan wrote in a Facebook group.
Others agreed with the poster, with one writing, “Abs, bet that new copy did it.” Another penned: “I reckon it’s Abbie, cause majority of them are all in tears or cannot believe it.”
While the majority of fans believe it will be Abby that gets shot, some think that the promo is a decoy, and the characters’ crying are actually devastated because Mac loses her baby again.
“Mac [gets shot] I think. Probably lose the baby. Can NO ONE in this show be happy for more than 5 minutes. It has become the most depressing show,” one wrote.
“Mac loses the baby I’m thinking,” another wrote. “Hence why Abby, Eden, Mali etc all look upset and thinking it’s David as it shows Lacey and Jo in the hospital upset and David looks worse for wear in spoilers.”
A new character joins Summer Bay after the shooting
Channel Seven has announced that a new doctor, Amelia Carlisle (played by Nicole da Silva), will make her Home and Away debut shortly after the shooting takes place.
“In the aftermath of the shooting, new doctor Amelia Carlisle will make her highly anticipated entrance into the Bay, springing into action in a desperate race against the clock to save a life,” the press release reads.
Nicole started filming her Home and Away scenes months ago, and told The West Australian that given her meteoric rise since Wentworth, it was practically impossible to keep her new role under wraps.
“In the early days of filming up at Palm Beach, I had fans come out of the woodwork, and I’d hear my name being called out (while on set),” she said.
“I tried to avoid their questions and the cameras, but unfortunately, there were whispers going around.”
