Alyssa Delpopolo was crowned the winner of The Voice Australia 2025, and the 19-year-old has opened up to Chattr about how her coach, Kate Miller-Heidke, helped her manage her anxiety and build the confidence she needed to win the show.
During a post-win interview, Alyssa said that being announced the winner was “honestly the best feeling in the world” and put a lot of her success down to her coach, Kate.
“Kate was really amazing. She was such a great mentor and coach. She gave me so much guidance on how to deal with my anxiety, things like that. She was really amazing throughout the whole process,” she said.
Alyssa explained that Kate gave her specific ways to help her manage her anxiety before a performance.
“She gave me lots of strategies and techniques, trying to channel my body, taking deep breaths. I tend to just point out what’s happening in the room, like, just picture what I can see to kind of take my mind off it. That’s what she taught me. And I really think it’s given me more confidence, and helped to control my anxiety a lot more.”

Alyssa went on to say that throughout her time on The Voice 2025, she often doubted herself, but Kate helped her recognise her worth and reminded her that she deserved to be there.
“I had a lot of self-doubt during the show, and because I had Kate with me, she really helped me have more confidence and believe in myself more. So, I’m really grateful for that.”
“[She helped] to bring out my confidence and open me up from my shell as well. It’s really helped express who I am.”
What’s next for The Voice Australia 2025 winner Alyssa Delpopolo?
Now that Alyssa has conquered The Voice Australia 2025, the budding artist told Chattr that she has her sights firmly set on continuing to build her musical career.
The retail worker received a $100,000 cash prize and an all-inclusive recording development package for winning the hit reality show. And, rather than taking herself on a holiday to celebrate, or splurging on a big, personal purchase, Alyssa said that she’ll be investing her cash prize into her career.

“I’ll definitely [spend the money on] getting a head start on my music career, recording songs, things like that, maybe doing my own shows, that’s the goal.
“I’ve been working with some producers from my uni at JMC Academy, I am hoping to release a single at the end of this year, early next year,” she added.
While Alyssa stayed coy about what the single will be called, she revealed that the word “cruel” is in it and said that the song will be based on her “past experiences”.
Congratulations to Alyssa!
