The Voice Australia has crowned its 2026 winner, with Yung Milla taking out the coveted title after an action-packed grand finale on Sunday night.
The Northern Territory singer and rapper, who competed as part of Team Melanie C, was announced as the winner by host Sonia Kruger after making it through to the final four.
He faced off against Daisha Auda from Team Kate Miller-Heidke, Tommy Novak from Team Richard Marx and boy band The 60 Four from Team Ronan Keating.
Following his win, Yung Milla admitted he was struggling to process the moment.
“I can’t believe it,” he said.
“I’m just so grateful. Thank you so much, Mel. You made me stronger, as a person, as an artist. I couldn’t be more proud. I’m doing it for my people.”
Who won The Voice Australia 2026?
The grand final saw the four finalists take to the stage for a series of performances, beginning with a group number before each singer performed a solo song and a duet alongside their coach.
The eventual winner was determined by the public vote.
Yung Milla, 22, opened the night with a powerful rendition of 2Pac’s 1992 classic ‘Changes’, immediately making his mark on the grand finale.
The aspiring rapper from the Northern Territory then teamed up with Melanie C for their coach duet.

Melanie C chose her own hit ‘Never Be The Same Again’ for the pair to perform, with Yung Milla taking on the verses originally performed by the late TLC star Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
His performance left the former Spice Girl visibly impressed, with Yung Milla later describing the experience as surreal.
“It’s crazy, man!” he said on stage.
“I’m a Black boy from Darwin and now I’m on The Voice grand finale singing with Melanie C.”
Tommy Novak performs The Horses
Tommy Novak was the next finalist to take the stage, with the 36-year-old NSW singer performing the beloved Australian anthem ‘The Horses’ by Daryl Braithwaite.
Tommy had left his corporate career behind to pursue his dream on The Voice, and his emotional take on the classic earned praise from both the coaches and audience.
He later joined his coach Richard Marx for a very different performance, with the pair performing Bryan Adams’ ‘Summer of ‘69’.
Daisha makes The Voice history
At just 15 years old, Daisha Auda was the youngest finalist in the competition and made history as the first Torres Strait Islander artist to reach The Voice Australia grand finale.
The Queensland singer, who hails from Logan, had the audience on their feet with her performance of Janet Jackson’s ‘Together Again’.
The song choice also marked another major milestone for Daisha.
She became the first artist on The Voice to receive Janet Jackson’s approval to perform one of her songs during the competition.
Producers reportedly sent Jackson Daisha’s blind audition, with the Grammy-winning singer impressed enough by the young performer to give her permission to perform the 1997 hit.
Daisha then joined forces with coach Kate Miller-Heidke for their grand-final duet, performing Sarah McLachlan’s emotional ballad ‘Angel’.
Despite not previously being familiar with the 1997 song, Daisha delivered a performance that wowed the crowd — including her mum, who proudly gave her two thumbs up.
The 60 Four bring the boy band energy
Ronan Keating’s team, The 60 Four, rounded out the solo performances with Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s 2024 smash ‘Die With a Smile’.
Before the South Australian group performed, Keating praised their qualities as performers.
“They have star power, they have stage presence, they have commitment, dedication, hunger. They have it all,” he said.
The former Boyzone star then joined the group on stage for their coach duet, with Keating and The 60 Four embracing the boy band theme with New Kids on the Block’s ‘You Got It (The Right Stuff)’.
The performance even saw Keating and the group sporting matching blue denim.
What does The Voice Australia winner receive?
Yung Milla’s victory came after weeks of auditions, Battles, Knockouts and Showdowns, culminating in his grand-final win.
Alongside the title of The Voice Australia champion, he takes home a $100,000 cash prize.
He will also receive an all-inclusive Hive Sound Studios recording and development package, covering production, recording, mixing and mastering, as well as access to Australian A&R and label services.
It marks a huge milestone for the young Darwin artist, who now has the opportunity to take his music career to the next level following his The Voice Australia victory.
