Calling all The Traitors fans! There’s a brand new podcast featuring Tully Smyth, Alex Nation and Kirby Bentley called While We Have You and it is a hoot and a half!
The podcast just dropped its first episode and it’s packed to the brim with tea, from Traitors references to spicy stories from the ladies.
One of said spicy stories involves Alex revealing she once caught the eye of a married man who she worked with, only for his wife to find out.
“Fun fact, myself and two other blokes, one of them, I was really good friends with,” Alex said.
“He fell in love with you?” Tully guessed.
“Yes, but he was also married and then he confessed his love for me while he was with said wife. And it’s a boundary, right? When you have a friendship, even if you think it, don’t say it. Keep that locked down to yourself!”

She went on to say that while she’s okay with her natural ability to “ooze sex appeal and sexuality”, it concerns her that men might “perceive that in a way that I’m making an advance on them”.
“Can it come across as me sending mixed messages because that’s just my personality or is it like, do I have to reel myself in and change parts of myself so people don’t get mixed messages, because I don’t want to feel like I have to do that.”
Her co-hosts asked what happened next, and she revealed it “just fell apart” because “the wife found out”.
“It was handled in a very mature way and, to be honest, there was a moment there that made me question, do I like him back? Because we are best friends and we get along so well. But the whole thing just, it was a line that should never have been crossed. And also, he and I didn’t talk for years.”
She added, “Do you think we can genuinely be friends with males? I am friends with a lot of guys and it’s purely platonic, but can you genuinely just be friends with a guy or does it crossover into an emotional connection that you can’t avoid?”
Kirby went on to reveal that it “happens to me all the time”.
Alex said that it must be due to Kirby’s natural charisma and potentially the fact that men would mistake her kindness for flirtation.
“I think because of the banter, boys love to banter, and when you’re one of the boys, they’re like ‘Oh my god, we get along so well’,” Kirby said.
Tully then weighed in with her thoughts on the matter.
“Alex, you ooze sexuality. There’s something about you, I think half the time you’re doing it on purpose and half the time it’s subconscious. I’ve been told I have similar traits!” she said, before explaining to Kirby that she is very “personable”.
Alex added that Kirby is all about “eye contact” and “looking into the depths of your soul”.
Why Tully felt uncomfortable watching The Traitors
Former Big Brother star Tully went on to reveal that watching herself on The Traitors was an odd feeling for her after seeing how “touchy-feely” she could be with her co-stars.
“It was actually kind of uncomfy watching some of the episodes of The Traitors back because, Ned’s made this comment before, he’s like, ‘When you speak to someone, you have to touch them, check their tag or you’ll pick some dust or hair off them’. And I’m like, ‘No I don’t?’ And then I watched myself in every episode find some reason to touch everybody and I’m trying to connect and I’m trying to connect,” she shared.
