Down-to-earth surfer queen, Coco Beeby, was crowned the winner of Big Brother Australia 2025, taking home the $135,000 prize.
Along with finding an unexpected (albeit short-lived) romance on the show with Bruce, the mum-of-three formed strong friendships throughout the competition, particularly with Allana and Emily, while developing a sibling-like bond with Conor.
So was this the beginning of some lifelong friendships? In an exclusive interview with Chattr ahead of the 2026 season returning, Coco admitted she actually no longer speaks to any of the 2025 housemates.
“I actually have just been doing my own thing this year,” she said.
“If someone reaches out to me or might comment on something — that’s fine. We’ve all gone our little separate ways, kind of thing. I don’t know if they all hang out.”
In fact, a nasty experience she had in the housemates’ Instagram group chat has made her back off from pursuing deeper friendships with the gang.

“We do have a group chat. I copped a fair beating in that group chat at the start. I don’t actually know if they knew that I was in it because I’m not gonna respond to this. I’ve taken some screenshots of them, but I’m not gonna share it or anything,” Coco revealed.
“After seeing some of the things they wrote in that group chat, I just thought, you know what? These aren’t my people. There is still bullying going on, and we’re not even in the house. It’s just ridiculous.”

Coco elaborated on the group chat posts that targeted her. “There might be some meme of Michael Jackson, and it’s like a not nice photo of him, and someone might be like, ‘Oh, is that you, Coco?’,” she recalled.
Others made comments that Coco “wasn’t even funny” on the show. “It’s like full bullying. I’m not gonna go there. I’ve just distanced myself, and just doing my thing. I just don’t really want to be part and parcel of that sort of behavior. It’s really childish. It’s kind of schoolyard,” she said.
The whole experience left Coco feeling shaken and confused over whether her co-stars were aware she was in the group chat at all. “It wasn’t very nice, and I remember reading it, and I was like, oh my God, do they know? Do they know I’m in the chat?” she pondered.
“And nobody stuck up for me, and I was like, if you were in a room and someone was talking sh*t about you, I’d be like, ‘Dude, that’s uncalled for. Don’t say that’. But these people just seem to go along with it.”
Awkwardly, Coco is still a member of this Instagram chat. “I’m still in the group chat, but I don’t know if they know I’m in the group chat,” she said.
