Coco Beeby was crowned the winner of Big Brother Australia 2025, taking home a cool $135,000.
The single mum-of-three won over Australian viewers with her hilarious personality, emotional vulnerability and slow-burn romance with fellow housemate Bruce Dunne. Their relationship became one of the season’s biggest storylines, with the pair initially resisting their attraction before developing feelings and sharing several kisses in the house.
Their on-again, off-again romance kept viewers guessing, particularly as Bruce proved to be a divisive housemate for his opinions on gender roles. Following her victory, Coco revealed she was looking forward to getting to know Bruce outside the house and seeing where things went.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Chattr, Coco revealed what really happened when the pair left the BB house. “Bruce and I tried it on the outside world, but it didn’t really work,” Coco told Chattr.
“He’s all the way up in Noosa, and I’m down here. It’s like a 10-hour trip, and I’ve got three kids. It just didn’t work with just the travel and back and forth and things like that.”
Coco detailed that she and Bruce were casually seeing each other for three months into the new year, but then it “kind of plateaued out” between them.
“We were more like hanging out and having a bit of fun and going surfing and going camping,” she said. “We weren’t dating — we were just kind of just seeing how things went.”
Despite seeing each other on and off for a few months, Coco refrained from introducing Bruce to his three kids. “He never met my kids. I didn’t introduce him to my children, just because… if it wasn’t going to be anything serious, I didn’t really feel like that needed to happen,” she said.
“I do like to keep my dating life and my children separate until… it’s the one,” she continued. “I don’t want to put somebody in their life and then remove them. That’s just too traumatic. There wasn’t a time that felt right for Bruce to meet my kids.”
But Coco insists they ended on good terms. “We’re much better off just being friends,” Coco added. That said, there doesn’t seem to be much of friendship between the BB stars right now, as the winner confirmed they don’t speak anymore.
“Not really. Nah, nah,” Coco said. “I think he’s just doing his thing. I’m not too sure if he has a new girl or anything. I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes.”
As for the BB winner, she is single and loving life. “I’m single. I’ve been single since this time last year, and I’m enjoying single life,” Coco told Chattr.
“To be honest, I don’t have enough time in my days to fit a man in there too. I’m open to it, obviously, but just cruising at the moment. I’m really enjoying just doing me.”
What happened between Coco and Bruce on Big Brother Australia?
Coco Beeby and Bruce Dunne’s unexpected romance became one of the biggest storylines on Big Brother Australia 2025, with their relationship developing from a firm friendship into something more romantic.
While the pair initially appeared hesitant to act on their attraction, their chemistry eventually became impossible to ignore, and they shared some sweet kisses inside the house.
Coco continued growing closer to Bruce and ultimately left the house with both a potential romance and the Big Brother crown. After the finale, the two popped up on each other’s Instagrams for the next few weeks.

In December, Coco told Chattr she made plans to reunite with Bruce over the Christmas holidays.
“I’m just gonna go home and lap up the next three weeks with my kids, with Chrissy and then, yeah, I’ve got a bit of time after Christmas that hopefully we’ll be able to catch up, have a surf, have a coffee, and get to catch up without the cameras beaming down on us,” she told Chattr.
“I’m not thinking too far ahead. I’m just looking forward to getting to know him a bit more.”
The couple casually saw each other until roughly March-April 2026 before deciding to just be friends.
