After weeks of relationship turmoil, Andrea Thompson and Richard Sauerman decided to leave Married At First Sight, and now, it’s been revealed that she’s started dating someone new.
A close friend of Andrea’s told Chattr that she’s been keeping her budding relationship under wraps.
“Andrea has been on a couple of dates since the experiment but she has had to keep them secret because the participants aren’t allowed to spoil any of the story before it airs on TV (even though I know lots of them have been breaking this rule),” the friend dished.
Andrea’s been dating someone who “readers would be familiar with”
While the friend didn’t reveal who the new man is, she did say it’s a well-known name.
“A bunch of her [Andrea’s] inner circle were together last night to watch the commitment ceremony with her and she told us there is someone who she has connected with since being on the show,” she said.
The friend raved that things have been going really well between Andrea and her new man, and revealed that they have a staycation planned.
“This man calls and texts her almost every day, he’s coming to see her this weekend they’re having a secret little catch-up and have planned to stay together for a few days and then in a week or two she’s going to go and see him again!!!”
Plus, the pal indulged that “readers would be familiar with this person.”
Where do Richard and Andrea stand?
Richard and Andrea left the MAFS experiment during the Commitment Ceremony that aired on March 17th, and while their split looked final, fans are still wondering if there’s a chance of the couple reconnecting.
Unfortunately for Andrea and Richard stans their relationship is completely done, according to her friend.
“There is no Andrea and Richard now,” the mate revealed. “She caught up with him for a coffee when she was in Sydney to see Pink and he asked if she wanted to get back together but she said no.”
“I don’t think there is any animosity; they’re civil to each other over text but don’t really have an active friendship or anything.”
Andrea confirms that she’s dating again
Andrea confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that she’s back on the dating scene, but played coy about her current relationship status.
“Yes, I’m definitely dating again,” she told the publication. “I just wish someone would ask me out, and I have to tell you if this guy shows up with a scarf on, I’m running to the hills,’ she joked, referring to Richard’s penchant for donning the neckwear.
