The Voice Australia 2026’s Taylor Beadle-Williams may be part of Team Kate Miller-Heidke, but she actually has a long-running connection to coach Ronan Keating, who she shared a screen with almost a decade ago.
Taylor acted opposite Ronan in 2017 in an episode of Love Child in which she played a heavily pregnant woman, and Ronan portrayed Dr Lawrence Faber, who attended to her.
“I was given all these lines,” she told TV Week. “During the lunch break on set, I sat with Ronan Keating and we went back and forth with the lines and we had a brief chat. And then we shot the scene. But in the final edit, they cut all my lines!”
Despite working one-on-one with Ronan for the role, the 37-year-old said she didn’t approach him to reminisce about their time working together.
“No way! I was such a blip in his incredible career. There’s no way he would remember.”
Taylor Beadle-Williams was born in show business
While Taylor’s powerhouse vocals may have been enough to turn all four chairs on The Voice 2026, show business is actually in her blood. Her dad is Mark Williams, the lead singer of Dragon and one of the voices behind the original Home and Away theme song.
“I used to go with him to a lot of gigs,” she remembers. “I used to just watch him on stage and be in awe.”
Taylor dabbled in acting in her 20s before turning her focus to music, and in recent years, she’s even joined her famous dad on stage as a backing singer, including for performances of the iconic Home and Away theme song.
“When we started rehearsing for that part of the show, I just knew all the words!” she laughs.
While Taylor has made it through the Blind Audition round on The Voice, she’ll be heading into the Knockouts next, where she’ll face “two incredible powerhouse vocalists who just blew me out of the water with their auditions”.
Taylor teased that her Knockout song choice pushed her well outside her comfort zone.
“But I love to be given a challenge,” she said. “And I went into Team Kate knowing that Kate would potentially challenge me!”
