The Traitors Australia is returning to our screens for 2026, and Channel 10 has released some juicy details about the devious reality TV show. Gretel Killeen, who is known for her time hosting Big Brother Australia and competing on the current season of The Amazing Race Australia, will replace Rodger Corser as host for The Traitors Australia 2026.
“The Traitors is returning to 10 in 2026 with Aussie Legend Gretel Killeen as host! Dust off your cloaks, trusty Traitors, and prepare to bury the hatchet… in your closest ally’s back,” Channel 10 wrote on social media.
The Traitors Australia last aired in 2023 before it was put on hiatus. There was no winner, and Blake Willoughby, Sam McGlone, and Camille Chicheportiche walked away empty-handed with no prize money.

The Traitors Australia 2026 cast is stacked with some of the biggest names from the most popular shows in Australian reality TV history.
AJ Antonios (Australian Survivor), Alex Nation (The Bachelor Australia), Alvin Quah (MasterChef Australia) and Cam Merchant (Married at First Sight Australia) are joined by Claudia Bonifazio (Love Island Australia), Cosima De Vito (Australian Idol) and Gamble Breaux (The Real Housewives of Melbourne).
Henry Nicholson (Australian Survivor), Ian “Dicko” Dickson (Australian Idol), Josh and luke Packham (Love Island Australia), Keira Maguire (The Bachelor Australia), Kirby Bentley (Australian Survivor), Krissy Marsh (The Real Housewives of Sydney) and Kween Kong (RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under) and Lawson Mahoney (Made In Bondi) are also on the cast.
Rounding out the massive names are Manaaki Hoepo (Aussie Shore), Rachael Evren (Love Island Australia), Rhys Nicholson (RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under), Rob Farnham (musician), Shane Gould (Australian Survivor) and Tully Smyth (Big Brother Australia).
Who is hosting The Traitors Australia 2026?
After rumours that Roger Corser would be replaced for the reinvented version of The Traitors Australia, Channel 10 announced Gretel Killeen as the new host on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
“As a writer and performer, I love a new experience and hosting the new Traitors gives me permission to explore an alternate version of myself in an imaginary place, full of challenging mischief,” Gretel said in a press release.
Channel 10 is equally as excited to have Gretel at the helm, with Vice President of Content at Paramount Australia, Tamara Simoneau, saying: “The Traitors format has fans obsessing over every twist and turn all over the world and it’s time we bring it back to Aussie screens with our very own version.
“There is no one better to bring it to life than the OG of groundbreaking, buzz-worthy reality shows, Gretel Killeen.”
Where will The Traitors Australia 2026 be filmed?
The production company behind The Traitors Australia 2026, South Pacific Pictures, confirmed that the new season will be filmed at the 150-year-old Claremont Castle, situated at the foot of Mt Horrible near Timaru in New Zealand. It’s the same location where The Traitors New Zealand is filmed.
“The New Zealand production industry benefits immensely when we shoot The Traitors on location in New Zealand. It’s a joy to witness our world class production team back in action!” Andrew Szusterman, Managing Director of SPP said.
“We love making this gripping and addictive format and now we’ve established The Traitors Southern Hemisphere hub, our goal is to continue making multiple versions of the show for years to come.”
