The Block 2026 kicked off with an adorable surprise in week three when Lisa and Rosco announced they were expecting their second child. The exciting news meant Lisa would be taking on the mammoth task of renovating an entire house while pregnant, following in the footsteps of Emma and Ben last season.
However, with The Block filmed months before it hits our screens, there’s one big question: will Lisa and Rosco have welcomed their newest little Blockhead by the time the houses head to auction?
And the answer is yes! Viewers can expect to see The Block‘s newest little addition at the auctions, with Lisa revealing that her due date falls just before the scheduled auction date.
“He’s due two weeks before the auction. So we should have a little bundle of joy at the auction,” she told Chattr in an exclusive interview.
The couple added that Rosco’s mum, dad and sister will also be at the auction to help look after their two kids on the big day.
“We’ll bring our new little one. We’ll bring Lando, and we’ll bring our support crew. Obviously, we have a crew,” she explained.
“We have a village behind us with Ross’ parents. They’re the whole reason we were able to be here in the first place. So absolutely, we’re so grateful and forever in debt to them. And they will absolutely be there on our auction day and help us get us across the line.”
Lisa added that the siblings already have an adorable matching outfit planned for auction day, with both Lando and the newborn set to rep their real estate agent, Buxton.
“We actually have some Buxton real estate hoodies that they will be sporting in support of mum and dad, so they’re going to be repping the Buxton brand the whole way through.”
Did Lisa know she was pregnant before she started filming The Block?
Lisa announced her pregnancy during week three, and told Chattr that she’d only started to suspect she might be pregnant a few days before taking a test.
“Basically, what happened was I had come to The Block and I got really sick, so I got pneumonia, and I went to the doctor. I was by myself and the doctor just said, ‘Oh look, you know you’re gonna need some steroids and some antibiotics. Any chance you’re pregnant?’ and I was like funny you say that.”
She explained that a few days earlier, she got nauseous when she was in the car with Rosco, and began suspecting that she might be pregnant, so the doctor made her do a test there and then.
“So, I had to pee in the cup, and then he did the test on his desk, and he had the little thing, and he just looked at me, and he goes, ‘Congratulations!’ And I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Like, this is insane! I’m on The Block. My husband’s not here. Like, we’re delivering a room on Sunday’, and yeah, it was a really surreal feeling.”
Lisa added that she waited to tell Rosco the exciting news in private later that night.
“I obviously just sat on it for a minute. I couldn’t go back to site and tell him because, like I said, there’s cameras, and I didn’t feel like it was fair to him to have that moment so public.
“So I waited till night time, when we were tucked in bed, and that’s when I told him, and we also spoke to our family,” she explained.
The Block airs Sunday – Thursday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
