The MasterChef Australia episode that aired on June 24 saw dessert queen Kirsten Tibballs join judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Andy Allen for an intricate Pressure Test recreating her Chocolate Iris dessert. However, when it came around to judging the contestants’ dishes, Poh was noticeably missing from the judges’ panel.
In the episode, Andy revealed that Poh hadn’t been feeling well, so went home to get some rest — yep, sick days are a thing even when you’re a MasterChef judge.
“Well unfortunately, we’re a judge down, Poh’s feeling under the weather, so she’s gone home, but that means more cake for us,” Andy said.
But, the good news is that Channel 10 has confirmed that Poh will be back on our screens for Sunday’s ep, which sees former contestants Declan Cleary and Sarah Todd pay a visit to the MasterChef kitchen with their young twins.
“Our MasterChef Australia judges may occasionally miss an episode due to personal reasons. Viewers can expect Poh back in the MasterChef Australia kitchen on Sunday night,” a Network 10 spokesperson told Chattr.

Poh’s gone missing more than once on this season of MasterChef Australia
The episode of MasterChef Australia that aired on June 24 wasn’t the first time Poh’s been AWOL from the kitchen, she was also missing from the Air Fryer Challenge, which aired on June 16.
When the contestants entered the kitchen, there were just three judges — Andy, Sofia and Jean-Christophe — standing there beside a big pink box.
“Poh looks so different today,” joked one contestant, as judge Sofia Levin added, “They probably think Poh is going to come out of the box.”
Andy also confirmed her absence, but didn’t elaborate any further.
“Unfortunately, Poh can’t join us today, but Sweet Week is in full swing,” he told the cast.
When Who contacted Network 10 about Poh’s whereabouts, they were given the same response Chattr was when asked about Poh being missing in the June 24 episode.
“Our MasterChef Australia judges may occasionally miss an episode due to personal reasons. Viewers can expect Poh back in the MasterChef Australia kitchen tonight,” the spokesperson said.
Whatever the reason for her time away from the show, we hope everything is okay!
MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
