Big Brother's Harmon says he was 'exiled' by housemates
  • Harmon became the first housemate evicted from Big Brother Australia 2026.

  • He told Chattr he felt exiled and excluded by fellow housemates following his controversial antics.

  • Harmon compared the house dynamics to high school, describing the cliques as almost “cult-like”.

  • Despite delivering a savage goodbye message targeting Pam and Ebony, Harmon insisted he had absolutely no regrets.

Harmon certainly made his mark on Big Brother Australia 2026, despite becoming the first housemate evicted from the competition.

The 29-year-old Queensland IT salesman entered the house promising to stir the pot, and he wasted little time pushing buttons with his frank personality and cheeky antics. His behaviour ultimately earned him a staggering 22 nomination points, an extraordinary tally that was double the 11 points received by fellow nominees Ebony and Kyrah.

At the first eviction, Australia voted to save Ebony and Kyrah, sending Harmon packing.

Speaking to host Mel Tracina, Harmon described his short-lived experience as “turbulent”. However, Harmon painted an even darker picture in an exclusive interview with Chattr, describing how he felt socially ostracised by the other housemates.

“In points, I was kind of almost exiled from the group, right? In patches, and then people come to me like, ‘Wait, we don’t actually hate you’,” he said.

In particular, his fellow contestants had a big reaction when Harmon caused chaos by hiding the housemates’ precious coffee supply and salt. “People ran with that storyline, and really painted me out as like a massive villain. Like, I should be shunned from the village. That was honestly the feeling,” Harmon admitted.

“For about two days, people would move away to leave me out of conversations. People didn’t want to talk to me or do anything with me. It was actually wild.”

Harmon was surprised by how the housemates quickly reverted to high school antics by excluding him. “It was almost cult-like, or like schoolboy or schoolgirl, [there were] like little friendship circles and cliques from very, very early,” Harmon said.

“It did remind me of school because I wasn’t a cool kid at school.”

Does Harmon regret his goodbye message on Big Brother?

Harmon went out in a blaze of glory by dropping a brutal goodbye message, taking aim at everything from Pam’s age to Ebony’s looks. The BB evictee told Chattr he wanted to give his all. “Let’s be savage because like we’re not here to muck around,” he recalled thinking at the time.

So does he have any regrets? “Nah, I stand by it all. It’s all good chat,” he eagerly replied.

“For me, it’s just chat and banter, and I’m trying to get at them… You can’t just leave going, ‘Oh yeah, you’re all nice. Have a good day. See you. Thanks for voting me off!’ Like, come off it, man. You gotta have a go and you have to get under their skin a bit,” Harmon concluded.

“Even when I’m gone, they’ll be thinking about me.” He’s not wrong!

Big Brother airs 7:30pm weeknights and 7pm Sundays on 10, with the live stream available via 10 Play.
