Australian Survivor is back for 2027, and this time, some of Australia’s biggest sporting stars, reality TV favourites and familiar faces will be going head-to-head with their real-life rivals.
Australian Survivor: Rivals will see 24 castaways split across two perfectly matched tribes in Malaysia, with each contestant facing off against someone on the opposing tribe who matches them in strength, smarts, drive or charisma.
And there are some seriously juicy match-ups. AFL legends Heath Shaw and Adam Cooney will reignite the Collingwood versus Essendon rivalry, The Block twins Alisa and Lysandra Fraser will battle each other, and soap stars Lincoln Lewis and Bernard Curry will find out whether Home and Away or Neighbours really comes out on top.
They’ll be joined by Olympians, actors, influencers, reality stars, and plenty more familiar faces, all fighting for the $500,000 prize and the coveted title of Sole Survivor.
So, who’s heading to Malaysia for Australian Survivor: Rivals? Here’s the full 2027 cast and everything you need to know about them.
Meet the Australian Survivor 2027 cast
Vloggers — Jorden Tually and Yusuf Omar
Jorden Tually has built a huge following on YouTube, with more than 2.5 million subscribers tuning in to watch him galavant around the world. But his travel content comes with a quirky twist. Rather than sticking to your typical sightseeing videos, Tually has taken himself on a solo honeymoon and eaten his way through Indian street food until he got food poisoning.
Yusuf Omar is a former war correspondent and award-winning CNN journalist. He went on to build Seen TV, a Gen Z News Network with 8M followers, which redefines storytelling with user-generated and immersive content.
Twins — Alisa and Lysandra Fraser
Twins Alisa and Lysandra Fraser got their reality TV start on The Block back in 2013 for Sky High which they won, and returned the following year for Fans v Faves, and placed runners-up.
Since then, they’ve gone on to launch their interior design business, Alisa & Lysandra Interiors, which is fully booked for 2026, as well as al.ive body, a successful lifestyle brand founded in 2020 that now spans body, baby, home, cleaning, haircare and skincare products.
Rugby players — Adam Ashley-Cooper and Robbie Farah
Adam Ashley-Cooper is a former Wallabies star who earned 121 Test caps for Australia across a 14-year international career. He’s played in four Rugby World Cups and helped the NSW Waratahs claim their maiden Super Rugby title in 2014.
Robbie Farah is an NRL legend best known for his lengthy career with the Wests Tigers, where he helped the club win its maiden premiership in 2005. The former hooker represented NSW in 16 State of Origin matches and also played internationally for Australia and Lebanon before retiring in 2019.
Red carpet rivals — Christian Wilkins and Mitch Churi
Christian Wilkins is an Australian model, actor, presenter and author, and the son of entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins. He competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2020 and released his first children’s book, Princess Mitchell.
Mitch Churi is an Australian radio host, podcaster, comedian and media personality who spent nearly a decade at KIIS FM, where he hosted The Night Show with Mitch Churi and co-hosted The Pick Up with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne. He now hosts his own video podcast, The Mitch Churi Chat Show.
Rebels — Josh Robinson and Louie Liu
All we know about Josh Robinson is that he’s 26 and from Victoria, while Louie Liu is 37 and from NSW. There are no other details available about the two mysterious rebels just yet.
Power mums — Kate Allan and Eva Bantin
Like Josh and Louie, Kate and Eva are two more contestants who haven’t been in the limelight before. We’ll have to wait until close to the air date to find out more about the two mums.
Olympians — Kerri Pottharst and Danielle Scott
Kerri Pottharst is an Australian beach volleyball legend who competed at three Olympic Games. She won bronze at Atlanta in 1996 before famously taking gold on Bondi Beach at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Since retiring, she has worked as an author, executive coach, athlete mentor, MC and motivational speaker.
Danielle Scott is an Australian aerial skier and four-time Winter Olympian who competed at Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018, Beijing 2022 and Milano Cortina 2026. She won Olympic silver in aerials at Milano Cortina 2026, and is also a two-time World Cup Crystal Globe champion and four-time World Championship medallist.
Lawyers — Portia Ferdinand and Emily Jones
Portia Ferdinand and Emily Jones are two of the lesser-known players going into the new season. Online, it looks as though Portia is a Sydney-based lawyer who studied at UNSW, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the UNSW Law Society’s Court of Conscience, while Emily is a Queensland-based lawyer who studied at Queensland University of Technology and has worked with the Pine Rivers Community Legal Service.
Divas — Ellie Gonsalves and Kaitlyn Souksamlane-Tan
Ellie Gonsalves is an Australian model, actress, media personality and influencer who has amassed more than 1.1 million followers on Instagram. She’s worked with major brands, appeared in Fighting with My Family and Big Brother VIP in 2021, and is a longtime ambassador for Australia Zoo’s Wildlife Warriors.
Kaitlyn Souksamlane-Tan is lesser known, and no information has been released about her from the Australian Survivor team just yet.
AFL players — Heath Shaw and Adam Cooney
Heath Shaw is a former AFL star who played 325 games for Collingwood and the GWS Giants across a 16-season career. The defender won a premiership with Collingwood in 2010 before moving to the Giants.
Adam Cooney is a former AFL star who played 250 games for the Western Bulldogs and Essendon. In 2008, he won the Brownlow Medal and earned All-Australian honours, and since retiring, he has built a career in sports media and appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2023.
Actors — Lincoln Lewis and Bernard Curry
Lincoln Lewis is an Australian actor best known for playing Geoff Campbell on Home and Away, a role that earned him a Silver Logie for Most Popular New Male Talent. Since the soap, he went on to star in Tomorrow, When the War Began and has appeared in shows including Underbelly: Razor, House Husbands, Gallipoli and NCIS: Sydney.
Bernard Curry is an Australian actor who has been a familiar face on television for more than three decades. He’s best known for playing Jake Stewart in Wentworth, as well as major roles in Home and Away and Neighbours, and has also appeared in international series including Pretty Little Liars, NCIS and Once Upon a Time. More recently, he won The Amazing Race Australia in 2027 alongside his brother Stephen.
Athletes – Sharni Layton and Sarah Yatim
Sharni Layton is a former Australian netball star and cross-code athlete who earned 46 caps for the Diamonds, captained the national side and won two Netball World Cups and Commonwealth Games gold.
Sarah Yatim is an Australian footballer who began her senior career with the North West Sydney Women’s Koalas before playing for Manly United and the Western Sydney Wanderers in the W-League.
