Here’s everything you need to know about The Voice’s Skÿe
Skÿe has emerged as a real fan favourite during the 2024 season of The Voice, with audiences loving his performances each and every week.
This, however, was not the first time the young singer had appeared on The Voice as a contestant. Back in 2015, he competed in The Voice as a 17-year-old, and although he did make it into Team Delta, Skÿe was eliminated during the first live competition round.
Who is Skÿe’s coach on The Voice Australia?
During his blind audition, the 26-year-old received four turned chairs with all judges keen to work with him. But this time around, Skÿe wound up as a competitor from Team Guy on Season 13 of The Voice Australia.
His teammates included: Beau Shearer, Shannen Wick, James Vass, Kyle Wilson, Priscilla Stanley, Hannah Sands, Jaydin Shingleton, Roland Williams, Eden Borrie, Paea Havili and Arthur Hull.
What songs has Skÿe performed?
It was Skÿe’s performance of Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now that won him a place in the final of The Voice Australia 2024, but there have been many memorable performances over the weeks.
The Blind Audition song Skÿe performed was Billie Eilish‘s What Was I Made For.
Moving forward to the battles, Skÿe performed The Beatles‘ Yesterday with Eden.
In the knockouts, Skÿe performed Miley Cyrus‘ The Climb, which you can watch here.

Tai ‘Bam Bam’ and Logan Tuviasa were front runners all season on The Amazing Race Australia 2024, and they took out the win at the grand finale.
While the brothers were delighted about winning the reality TV show and receiving $100,000 prize money for their charity, Sydney Region Aboriginal Corporation, they both agreed that the hardest part about being on The Amazing Race was being away from their families. Logan has two daughters and Tai has one son.
“[The hardest part was] definitely was being away from my family. I had a lot of emotional trips on that. But being with my brother was sort of saving me, and Beau[Ryan] had some good advice after each race, too,” Logan told Chattr in an exclusive interview.

Tai and Logan revealed that after filming wrapped each day, they were able to talk to their loved ones.
“We got out phones after the day was done,” Tai said.
Reflecting on the moment that they reached the final The Amazing Race pitstop, Logan said that he instantly thought of his two daughters.
“It was a big relief for me, he said. “It was a long race. We had some big days, and just crossing that line, I felt this big sigh of relief, just knowing that I was able to see my kids again.”

Along with bragging rights, Tai and Logan received $100,000 for their charity for winning The Amazing Race Australia 2024.
The brothers chose Sydney Region Aboriginal Corporation, which is an organisation with a range of programs to address the ongoing disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
“I used to work for them,” Tai revealed. “I used to run a men’s group, and used to look after men down there. So we do a lot of work with the community so I was really familiar with them. I had been doing a lot of football stuff with them.”
This past week, the contestants of The Blockpresented their final guest bedroom and laundry designs to the judges. Maddy and Charlotte’s choice to add a toilet in the laundry, however, received some mixed commentary.

Maddy and Charlotte went for a rather simplistic design in their laundry; using neutral shades, whites and natural wooden finishes.
It was the placement of a toilet, however, that captured the most attention.
Shaynna shared that the design lacked a frosted glass door.
“Great idea having a glass door but not so everyone can look through,” she said. “You need a frosted door.”
Marty added, when walking up to the toilet, “And when you’re positioned here, looking over my right shoulder, dare I say it, that’s probably a sitting area in front of the fireplace.”
“That’s nasty,” Shaynna added.
Darren agreed that the layout didn’t feel “very private”.
Overall, Marty did enjoy the general look of the space, however, he added “…it just doesn’t function well as a laundry for a house that sleeps 10 people.”
What did fans of The Block think?
Fans of the show were equally confused by the placement of the toilet, it seems. Folks on X have shared their opinions, stating that the laundry toilet – without a frosted door – was an odd choice by the girls.

Following toilet-gate, Marty shared that he was concerned Maddy and Charlotte may have “hit a little bit of a lull”.
The girls responded to the criticism, with Maddy explaining, “We knew we were going to get roasted. I just feel exhausted from the week, to be honest.”
“I just feel a bit meh… emotionally, absolutely drained. But, it’s another week tomorrow!” she said.
In addition to the situation with the toilet placement, there was also the issue of the girls’ laundry not being finished due to their inability to bring the laundry appliances into the room alone – because of how heavy they were.
Fans of the show took issue with this, complaining that Maddy and Charlotte were not offered any assistance with this challenging part of the job.

Farmer Wants A Wife‘s (FWAW) Andrew Coleman has shared his perspective on the break up of his engagement with Claire Saunders, and his comments have turned a whole lot of heads.

Speaking with Woman’s Day, Andrew shared that after Claire had “an extended stay in Tasmania” she wanted to speak with him about the wedding.
“She asked me how I was feeling about it all,” he said.
“During that conversation, I expressed some doubts about getting married, and I remember saying I felt like something had changed, but I didn’t know what.”
According to Andrew, things seemed fine after that initial chat, “But the next day I was at a field day, and Claire texted me saying she’d cancelled the wedding – and she’d already informed her family and friends and that I probably should come home.”
“When I got back, Claire was quite upset, as was I. She told me she had work to go to in Darwin and I was quite shocked and confused – when I left that morning, I thought things were OK!”
In the end, however, he shared with the outlet that “despite the pain, I feel like we both made the right decision and in moving forward, we can both take some learnings from our time together.”
Earlier this month, Claire opened up about her reason behind the split with Andrew.
Claire and Andrew were supposed to get married in July 2024 but called off the wedding at the last minute. At the time, Claire took to Instagram to reveal that her wedding to the 2023 FWAW lead was off.
“My dogs and I have headed north to Darwin to work for the dry season. Andrew and I have had to cancel our wedding due to reasons out of our control, but we are both okay,” she began in an Instagram post.
“I’m not sure what else to say other than, sometimes life is hard and we all just need a little breathing space. There will be no farming content from me for the foreseeable future,” she cryptically added.
Now, she’s opened up about why they decided to cancel their wedding, and where their relationship stands now.

Why did FWAW’s Claire cancel her wedding to Andrew?
Claire told So Dramatic that she and Andrew had spent time planning their nuptials before she decided to pull the plug.
“Andrew was quite stressed due to the wedding planning and his father being unwell… so we started arguing about silly things,” she told the podcast.
“I asked him why we got engaged, and he said it was because that’s the natural progression of things.”
Claire explained that his non-committal reply led her to call the wedding off.
“I saw red. Then I said,‘I’m not going to drag you to the altar.’ And the next day I told him I was cancelling the wedding. It was supposed to be a joyous time… I felt like he took that away from me.”
Reflecting on her life since breaking up with Andrew, she toldYahoo Lifestyle that they no longer talk.
“I cancelled the wedding in July. You can’t make someone marry you,” she said.
“He wanted some space so I went to Darwin for the dry season and the wheels really fell off after that.”
Are Claire and Andrew still together?
Following Claire’s announcement that she and Andrew had cancelled their nuptials, she posted her wedding dress for sale on Facebook.

“We’re over, we’re finished,” she told the So Dramatic.
“I’m seeing out the dry season here in Darwin, and when that finishes up, I’ll pick up the rest of my stuff [from Andrew’s farm] and head to Tasmania.”
She added that she doesn’t think she and Andrew will get back together.
“The ship has sailed for me because of the amount of damage that he has caused in all relationships, not just ours,” she said.
“My family’s relationship with him, his family’s relationship with me. It’s not harmonious now. It’s not as pure as it was.”
Claire reiterated the sentiment to Yahoo Lifestyle.
“We’re not in contact now at all. It’s been a terrible time.”
The Blind Auditions saw some highly talented contestants assigned to the coaches’ The Voice teams. Since then, the contestants have been through the Knockout rounds and Battle rounds, and the grand finalists have been decided.
The Voice Australia 2024 started off with superstar coaches Guy Sebastian, LeAnn Rimes, Adam Lambert, and Kate Miller-Heidke blindly listening to contestants perform and then slamming their buzzers when they heard something they liked.
This year, the competition levelled up a little; each coach had an ultimate block, which allowed them to block all of their fellow coaches and ensure the contestant joined their team. The Voice 2024 coaches also received a block, which allowed them to block just one judge.
At the end of the Blinds round, The Voice teams were complete. However, during the Battle round, a chunk of these contestants were sent home. Now, with the Knockouts done and dusted, the coaches have eliminated another five contestants each.

Team Adam
This is Adam’s first time on The Voice Australia. Fellow judge Kate labelled Adam as a bit “trigger-happy” when it came to pressing that buzzer during The Blinds.

Annie, 16, from Melbourne, performed Holding Out For a Hero by Bonnie Tyler. Guy, Kate and Adam all turned their chairs.
Team LeAnn
This is LeAnn’s first time on The Voice Australia.
Reuben De Melo
31-year-old Reuben from Perth scored a stand ovation and a unanimous chair turn from all the judges. He sang I See Fire by Ed Sheeran at the first Blind Auditions.
Team Kate
This is also Kate’s first time on The Voice Australia. She told Chattr she would be looking for singers who would give her “goosebumps” or surprise her.
Jaedyn Randell
Kate, Guy and LeAnn turned their chairs for 22-year-old Jaedyn from New Zealand. She performed Jessie J’s Big White Room, and Kate used her Block to score Jaeydn on her team.
Team Guy
Guy is the only The Voice coach who’s been on The Blinds panel before, so it’s safe to say he knows what he’s doing!
Skÿe
Skÿe, 26, from Melbourne, received a standing ovation and a four-chair turn after delivering an emotional performance of Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For. His powerful rendition had all The Voice teams eager to add him to their lineup.

“A wealthy New York City investment banking executive, Patrick Bateman, hides his alternate psychopathic ego from his co-workers and friends as he delves deeper into his violent, hedonistic fantasies.”
Who is directing and producing the new American Psycho film?
Per reporting from Variety, director Luca Guadagnino is (Challengers, Call Me By Your Name) in the final stages of negotiating the project, which is set to feature a script by Scott Z. Burns.
Also attached to the Lionsgate film will be executive producer Sam Pressman.
Who will star in the American Psycho remake?
We don’t currently have any insight into casting, release date or how this film will differ from the 2000 American Psycho, which was directed by Mary Harron and starred Christian Bale.
What will the new story be about?
For now, we simply know the film will be a fresh adaptation of the original novel.
On the American Psycho ‘remake’, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson said (per Variety), “We are thrilled to add another elite filmmaker to our upcoming slate. Luca is a brilliant artist and the perfect visionary to create a whole new interpretation of this potent and classic IP.”
Looks like we’ll be waiting a while yet for the remake of American Psycho, so it may be worth revisiting the original in the meantime.
There were 11 teams of Australian celebrities who packed their bags for The Amazing Race Australia 2024, but not all of them made it to the end. As the season progressed, the lastThe Amazing Race cast members to make it to the check-in point were eliminated one by one.
In each episode, the celebrities competed in gruelling challenges – which usually involved something very physical, scary or tricky. Think devouring an entire pig’s head or a deep-fried tarantula.
In every season except The Amazing Race 2023, only one team will win the show, and the grand prize is $100,000 for the winner’s chosen charity.
Last year, Darren McMullen and Tristan Dougan were leading in the grand finale. However, they waited at the mat for their competitors, Emma and Hayley Watkins and Angie and AlliSimpson, and all three teams won The Amazing Race 2023.
The Amazing Race Australia 2024 saw brothers Logan and Tai claim the win, and they received $100,000 for their charity, Sydney Region Aboriginal Corporation.

Olympic swimming legend Ian Thorpe and his long-time friend Christian Miranda left The Amazing Race Australia 2024 during the episode that aired on October 6.

Matildas players Chloe and Emily were eliminated during The Amazing Race Episode 7 after a heartbreaking error. After completing a kayaking challenge and Pelican Point, Emily accidentally picked up Chloe’s bum bag and left her own behind.
As the rules of the race stipulate, contestants can’t complete a leg of the race without their belongings, so they had to retrace their steps to find Chloe’s bag, losing them valuable time and causing them to be the last to the pitstop and ultimately be eliminated.
Havana Brown and Stephanie Wood

Friends Havana Brown and Stephanie Wood were eliminated during The Amazing Race Episode 6.
The women were one of the front runners during the episode until the final challenge which involved finding loose animal teeth in a patch of dirt. The women struggled to find all of the teeth in the time frame, which caused them to be the last team across the mat, and they were eliminated.

Jett Kenny and Lily Brown were eliminated during The Amazing Race Australia 2024 episode four. It was neck and neck between their team and Oscar and Billy Brownless.
However, Lily and Jett’s taxi driver dropped them around the back of the building where the check-in point was, meaning they were the last to the mat.
During a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Jett and Lily shared how close they became with the rest of the cast and what they got up to when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Melinda Sheldrick, otherwise known as Nat and Mel, were the second team to be eliminated on The Amazing Race Australia 2024.
They got lost when driving to one of the challenges, which lost them a lot of time and they were last to reach the check in mat.

Julie and Luke McGregorwere the first team eliminated – even though they weren’t the last team to hit the mat. They had to serve a time penalty for skipping the dancing challenge, which led them to be the last team to check-in.

Stephane ‘Steph’ Blackos is one of the Islanders on this season of Love Island Australia 2024, but this isn’t his first rodeo.
The 25-year-old has been on Love Island France and Love Island Games. For this year, Steph will be participating on Love Island Australia as a “Love Island god” with fellow contestant Sydney Paight from the US.
This is a world-first twist where they can use their powers for good or evil. Colour us intrigued!

During the second second of Love Island France, he came in on day 17 and was dumped on day 28. He only spent 11 days in the villa for Love Island France.
Steph also competed in Love Island Games and was the first one to be eliminated in the series.
Love Island Games is a spin-off to the original Love Island franchise in the UK where contestants from all over the world compete in a series of challenges.
Commenting on his elimination he told Swooon, “I’m a winner, so I hate losing. And I didn’t have a hand on this competition, you know what I mean? I was eliminated because I was vulnerable, so the people in the villa decided to kick me out.”
During Steph’s stint in Love Island Games he got together with former Australian IslanderJessica Losurdo, but the pair never pursued their relationship outside the show.

Siena has been on The Voice before
This year isn’t Siena’s first time round on The Voice Australia 2024. Back in 2019, she was on Season 8 she made it onto Team Boy George. However, she was eliminated during the Knockout round.
Siena made her 2024 debut in episode four, and she performed My Mind by Yebba in the Blinds, which was met with a four-chair turn from The Voice 2024 coaches and a standing ovation.
Siena knew that she wanted to be on Adam Lambert‘s team.
“When he called my name, I fangirled,” she said during the episode.
In the Battles, she faced off against Kaitlyn Martin and the duo sang Drivers License by Olivia Rodrigo. Kaitlyn was sent home and Siena was sent to the Knockouts.

There, Siena made it through the first part of the round with Annie Jones and Arthur Hull. After performing again, Annie and Sienna were sent through to the Semi-Finals.

Members of One Direction have come out posting their devastation surrounding their band member Liam Payne’s death.
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik have all expressed their sadness and disbelief over Liam’s death earlier this week.
TMZ reported Liam fell from a third-story balcony at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Costa Rica. The publication said that several witnesses saw Liam fall from the balcony just after 5pm on Wednesday evening, local time.
At the time of publishing, Niall Horan was yet to post about Liam’s death.

Harry posted a photo of Liam to Instagram, and said he is “truly devastated” by Liam’s passing.
“His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it,” he wrote.
“My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear, and all those around the world who loved him, as I did.”
Louis also paid his respects on the social media platform, saying he is “beyond devastated” about losing a “brother”.
“I first met Liam when he was 16 and I was 18, I was instantly amazed by his voice but more importantly as time went on I got a chance to see the kind brother I’d longed all my life for,” he wrote on Instagram.

Some sleuthing fans have spotted My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2024‘s Lawrence Murphy on a popular TV series, raising questions about his career as an actor.
One MKR viewer took to a Facebook group to share a photo of Lawrence in a jury scene on Aussie Drama The Twelve Season 2.
And his IMDB profile shows that The Twelve isn’t Lawrence’s only acting credit.

Lawrence’s IMDB profile shows that he’s been in three movies and one other TV show.
The home cook was the lead in the movie Lies Within Us and had parts in He Aint Heavy and Before Dawn, the latter of which was nominated for an award at the Vienna Film Festival.

Lawrence’s girlfriend Hannah was on Big Brother
Lawrence isn’t the only home cook on his team with experience in front of the camera. His girlfriend Hannah Campbell was on Big Brother. She came in 10th place and lasted 27 days in the house.
“I thought if I can do Big Brother, being locked in a house with randoms, I could do MKR,” she told TV WEEK.
“But let me tell you, MKR was 1000 times harder. I would do Big Brother every single year if I could. MKR, I don’t think I’d go back and do that!”

Fans react to Lawrence’s acting career
MKR fans have had mixed reactions to discovering that Lawrence is an actor.
Some assumed that — given his career history — he was a producer plant on the show.
“It’s pretty bad now to know that these so-called TV competition shows could all be rigged with some of them being actors to increase the shows viewing and writing interesting storylines in them. Very disappointing,” one person wrote.
However, others say that just because Lawrence is an actor doesn’t mean he can’t be an aspiring cook, too.
“Who cares? Every person around that table has a job, I’m sure. He just happens to be a small-time actor and has been for a while. He has probably been in many ads and shows as a background fill-in, but no one noticed until now,” a user wrote.

LeAnne Rimes is a big fan
During a Q&A for The Voice Australia 2024 one of the judges LeAnne Rimes had nothing but nice things to say about Reuben. And, she ended up being Reuben’s judge for this season.
She called him “one of the best auditions” that she has seen on The Voice Australia.
“[Reuben] is just an incredible vocalist and so authentic and real. I think that’s probably one of the best auditions that we’ve seen on the show,” LeAnn said.
Reuben has a wife, Olivia and three adorable children that follow him when he’s out on the road.

In an interview with PerthNow, Reuben said he was friend-zoned three times by Olivia when they were working together as a duo before she finally went out with him.
“We met through music, through a mutual friend who introduced us and we sang along together for a while, did a little duo. She friend-zoned me three times,” he told the publication.

So Dramatic reported that towards the end of The Block 2024, Kylie walked in on Mimi and Brad in a “compromising position” while drunk.
“Towards the end of the season, around week eight, the cast were having drinks, lots of drinks actually,” an insider told the publication.

The Amazing Race 2023 saw three teams win. The finalists Darren McMullen and Tristan Dougan, Emma Watkins and Hayley Watkins and Angie and Alli Simpson jumped over the finishing line together and were all crowned the winners.

The Amazing Race 2024 is the eighth Australian season. And, prior to 2023, each season had a single team of winners.
Season one saw Tyler Atkins and Nathan Joliffe take out the win.
Shane Haw and Andrew Thoday won Season 2, and Tim and Rod Sattler-Jones Season 3. The show went on a hiatus after the third season aired in 2014 and returned in 2019.

Alli Simpson, sister to Cody Simpson, is an influencer and model who posts outfits and beauty routines on her Instagram.
Angie, Alli’s mum, has a bachelor of social science psychology and recently went to the Paris Olympics to support her son’s girlfriend, Emma McKeon, who was competing in swimming.

Rob and Liam were the first team to cook on My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2024 and blew the judges away with their Barbecued three-course meal.
The brothers from Victoria scored the highest in round one of the Instant Restaurants, which saw them granted immunity from the second round, and they were sent straight through to Kitchen HQ.
With just six teams left in the competition, Rob and Liam are hoping to make it all the way and be crowned the winners of MKR 2024.

Who are Rob and Liam?
Rob and Liam are brothers from Victoria. Throughout the competition, the siblings have been fairly relaxed and have enjoyed cracking jokes at the Instant Restaurant tables.
“I’m easy going and dedicated, with a strong sense of loyalty to my loved ones,” Rob said of himself in his MKR bio.
Meanwhile, Liam described himself as outgoing, confident and a joker.

Liam is married and the couple share two children, Ruby and Jesse. Jesse was born this year and Liam shared a post on Instagram in July to announce his birth.
“What a huge couple of days, Jesse Michael Watt decided to join us a little early. @charlie.storey93 and Jesse are doing amazing after he decided to cause trouble, as all the Watt boys do and almost arrived on the way to the hospital,” Liam wrote in the post.
“His big sister Ruby has been nothing but amazing and we are feeling pretty unreal to be back at home all together less than 24hrs since it all started. Welcome to the world Jesse!” The caption continued.

Rob and Liam topped the MKR leaderboard in the first round of Instant Restaurants.
The brothers served local Safety Beach Mussels in a Cajun sauce for their entree, Beef Short Ribs with Nduja Cauliflower Cheese for the main, and Peanut Butter S’mores with Bourbon Caramel sauce for dessert.

Because of their high score of 84 out of 110, the boys skipped the second Instant Restaurant round and went straight through to Kitchen HQ.
There, they joined the rest of the MKR 2024 contestants and the brothers cooked Mango and Gin Pannacotta with Passionfruit Fog which was well received by the judges.

One Direction singer Liam Payne has died. He was aged 31.
TMZ reported that he fell from a third-story balcony at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Costa Rica. The publication said that several witnesses saw Liam fall from the balcony just after 5pm on Wednesday evening, local time.
Police have confirmed the news in a statement.
“Liam James Payne, composer and guitarist, former member of the band One Direction, died today after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo.”

City ambulance service provider spokesman Alberto Crescenti said that Liam suffered fatal injuries from the fall.
“The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur,” he said.
“At 5.11pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead.
“Afterwards, we found out he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately, the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him.”

Nick Kygrios confirmed during an interview at SXSW Sydney that he’ll be competing in the 2025 Australian Open.
Nick has played just one singles tour match in the last two years as he battled knee, foot and wrist injuries.

Nick Kygrios said he’d retire after winning a Grand Slam
In Tennis, winning a Grand Slam refers to winning all four major professional tennis events in one calendar year, which include the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
Nick told Ryan that he wants to return and attempt to win a Grand Slam this year, and suggested that he will retire after.
“My only motivation to come back and play is to try and win a Grand Slam,” he said.
“And after that, I’ll, I’ll be done with it. I’ll give it one more shot. I appreciate all the support.” he said.

Following in the footsteps of The Office UK’s David Brent and The Office US’sMichael Scott will be Hannah Howard who will be taking the helm as the top dog at packaging company Flinley Craddic.
“It is an honour to continue the international comedy legacy of The Office locally while introducing new, quintessentially Australian characters. We can’t wait for audiences to meet Hannah Howard, the first female boss The Office format has explored,” Prime Video Australia’s Senior Development Executive Sarah Christie said in a statement.
The Inbetweeners Two actress will be joined by a slew of other big Aussie names for The Office Australia, and the cast is made up of quite a few comedians.

What is The Office Australia about?
Hannah Howard is the managing director of the Australian packaging company Flinley Craddick.
