MAFS 2025 cast: Meet the Brides and Grooms saying ‘I do’ this year

Married At First Sight 2025 (MAFS) season is well underway, and the latest instalment has a whole new cast of brides and grooms.

Unsurprisingly, a handful of the cast have reality TV pasts, while some of them have dabbled in acting. No wonder it’s shaping up to be such a juicy season.

Keep reading to meet the cast of MAFS 2025.

Who is in the MAFS Australia 2025 cast?

MAFS 2025 brides

Ashleigh Ackerman

Ashleigh Ackerman was matched with Jake Luik but their marriage was short-lived. He left the experiment after being slammed for making some controversial comments during the photo ranking task.

Ashleigh owns a dance studio in the Gold Coast and lives with her sister and nephew in a house full of animals.

Jacqueline Burfoot

Jacqui Burfoot on MAFS 2025
Jacqueline Burfoot. Image: Nine.

According to her LinkedIn page, Jacqueline Burfoot is quite the smart cookie. Between the years of 2019 and 2025, she worked as a lawyer and investment analyst.

She says she has “the beauty and the brains”; not only does she have a double degree in law and finance, but she claimed to have won the title of Miss New Zealand in 2012. Turns out that was a bit of a sham, and she actually competed as Miss New Zealand in Miss Yacht International.

Jacqui has been involved with some drama with her husband Ryan Donnelly, after he made some inappropriate comments about her to the group.

Awhina Rutene

Awhina Rutene is a breakout star, and rumour has it she’s tangled up in a cheating scandal involving her husband Adrian Araouzou. The couple have strong sexual chemistry, but they can’t stop fighting. One of the biggest sticking points is that Adrian reacted poorly to finding out Awhina has a child.

Awhina is also a proud Kiwi and calls her twin sister Cleo her bestie. That’s cute!

Katie Johnson

Katie Johnson on MAFS 2025
Katie Johnson. Image: Nine.

MAFS 2025 bride Katie Johnson is the CEO of a company called EATS HQ. Back in 2021, Katie made headlines for her random act of kindness.

Katie has an open and friendly nature, but she said she has largely been unlucky in love and is sick of being disappointed. Sadly, MAFS continued that pattern, as she was rejected by her husband Tim Gromie on their wedding day. He made it clear they had no “spark”, and he prefers women who are “petite”, “blonde or brunette”.

Carina Mirabile

Perth influencer Carina Mirabile is one of the favourite MAFS 2025 Brides. She is a digital marketing manager and is one of five siblings! She’s paired with Paul Antoine, and appeared to reveal whether or not the pair are still together in an interview with Chattr.

In addition to being a content creator, Carina is an actor who has appeared in a few TV commercials and a feature film called Titan. According to Carina’s Now Actors profile, she’s completed a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and has lived and studied in the United States and London.

Jamie Marinos

Account manager Jamie Marinos is a Greek girl who embodies everything about her culture.

Jamie is coupled with Dave Hand and had instant chemistry at the altar. The pair got married at Sydney’s Carriageworks, the same place Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton and Brent Vitiello and Tamara Djordjevic had their MAFS weddings.

The pocket rocket isn’t afraid to speak her mind and loves to fire up at the Dinner Parties.

Lauren Hall

Lauren Hall on MAFS 2025

Lauren Hall is the CEO of Mayfair Lane Gifts and calls herself an “old-school” romantic. She isn’t a fan of modern dating and confesses that communicating isn’t her strong suit.

Lauren has a rather interesting connection to MAFS 2024. She’s the ex-girlfriend of controversial groom Jonathan McCullough. The couple dated for three months and split in January 2022.

Her MAFS journey seemed to come to an abrupt end when her groom Eliot Donovan fled their honeymoon, but rumour has it she returns later along with the intruder couples.

Morena Farina

Morena Farina is a wedding MC, DJ and fitness instructor. She is also a mother to two teenagers, and after her 29-year-long marriage ended, she decided to live life to the fullest. She’s the oldest bride on MAFS 2025 but possibly the most outspoken.

Morena has gone rogue and given spicy interviews about her time on MAFS, including one with Abbie Chatfield where she slammed her husband Tony Mojanovski.

Sierah Swepstone

Sierah Swepstone on MAFS 2025

Sierah Swepstone was a contestant of Jimmy Nicholson‘s season of The Bachelor in 2021. He ended up choosing Holly Kingston for his final rose. (The pair are now married with a baby.)

Sierah wants somebody to match her sexual needs, which involves lots of physical touch. Her partner, Billy Belcher, doesn’t seem to be meeting those needs at the moment. It’s possible Sierah will go looking elsewhere, as she was seen getting cosy with Adrian at the last Dinner Party.

Rhi Disljenkovic

Melbourne-based fitness blogger Rhi Disljenkovic is a health enthusiast who runs a wellness Instagram page called Train In Au with her friend Shayna. She just ended a seven-year relationship and is now open to settling down and raising a family.

Rhi has been paired with Jeff Gobbels, who she actually dated for a month prior before it “fizzled out”. The biggest challenge these two will face is getting out of the friend zone!

Tony Mojanovski

53-year-old Woollongong local Tony Mojanovski runs a fishing boat charter company and spends every day on his boat.

Tony has been married twice before, and his bride Morena claims he’s still in love with his ex-wife. This is one match that doesn’t seem like it’s going to work.

Adrian Araouzou

Adrian Araouzou is one of the standout cast members this season. He is a massive foodie, and he runs his own lifestyle sports brand, PAKD Sports.

In his bio, he called himself “a perfect 10 for looks and personality” — which might explain some of his arrogant behaviour!

Ryan Donnelly

Ryan Donnelly is an actor, and a photo on his now-deactivated Star Now account shows him wearing a police uniform for a role on a TV series.

The 36-year-old project manager has dated many “Sydney women” and is sick of putting effort into dates that aren’t reciprocated.

Ryan is shaping up to be this year’s MAFS villain, after describing his wife Jacqui as having “crazy eyes” and bragging about her oral sex skills.

Eliot Donovan

Eliot Donovan has reality TV connections to Beauty and the Geek‘s Troy Thompson, The Bachelor‘s Kiki Morris and Australia’s Next Top Model‘s Simone Holtznagel, as they’re all following him on Instagram.

The 35-year-old Queenslander is aspiring to have a nuclear family. Eliot wanted a traditional relationship where he was the provider, and even though his wife Lauren held the same views, she was deemed too old for him. He wants a bride in their 20s, which is a red flag.

Eliot ditched the experiment during his honeymoon, but is apparently coming back with a new bride later. Can’t wait to see what drama unfolds!

Billy Belcher

Billy Belcher is 31, from England, a plasterer and was added to the MAFS bucks party at the last minute to make the whole experiment a bit more exciting.

The Perth-based Brit is humorous and hoping to forge an emotional connection with his bride Sierah before getting too physical.

Jake Luik

Jake Luik is a high school teacher at Southern River College, a public high school in Gosnells, Western Australia.

He has been in two relationships, one lasting 10 years and the other three years, which included a called-off engagement. Jake says he blames himself for the relationship’s demise, citing poor communication skills as the reason.

Jake left the experiment after being called out for his problematic comments during the photo ranking task, even though his wife Ash wanted to work on their relationship.

Jeff Gobbels

MAFS 2025 groom Jeff Gobbels found himself in a very peculiar situation when he realised he already knew his TV bride, Rhi.

“Hi Rhi,” he said to her, before adding: “What the hell?”

Jeff said he was looking to find his “forever partner”.

Jeff was raised by a single mum who he calls his hero, cute! Seeing her work hard to provide for her family and knowing how tough it was made him realise he wanted to start a family with the right woman.

Dave Thomas Hand

Dave Hand is a part of the MAFS 2025 cast. He has a substantial social media presence with almost 30,000 followers on TikTok.

The Victorian-based builder has a lot of tatts and seems to have really hit it off with his new MAFS bride, Jamie.

Dave is also a towering 200cm or 6’7″, but despite his height and tattoos, he is just a big softie at heart.

Paul Antoine

Just two years ago, Paul Antoine was one of 21 contestants who tried to find love on Channel Ten’s The Real Love Boat Australia.

The Frenchman moved to Australia with his family 11 years ago. He said his parents were married for 40 years and that he wants a similar marriage for himself.

Turns out he already knew his MAFS bride Carina, and had even ghosted her in the past! However, the cute pair seem to have started fresh and are super compatible.

Tim Andrews

Married at first sight 2025 cast Tim
Married at First Sight 2025 cast member Tim Andrews. Image: Nine.

Tim Andrews is a 39-year-old primary school teacher from Victoria. Tim said being a teacher brings him so much joy, and he wishes to have his own kids one day.

Tim calls himself a “big, cuddly teddy bear”, which is probably the opposite of what Australia thinks.

He was nearly engaged, but sadly, his girlfriend broke up with him. Now that he’s recovered from the heartbreak, he is ready to meet his wife. That said, Tom hasn’t had the best time this season, with reports suggesting he even refused to take part in the promo shoot.

It’s probably his own fault, because he rejected his wife Katie in a pretty brutal way. The couple left at the first Commitment Ceremony instead of dragging it out.

We are so excited to see how it all turns out this season!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Harrison Reid reveals if the I’m a Celebrity Tucker Trials are real or fake

One of the most memorable parts of I’m a Celebrity Australia is when the contestants have to gobble down absolutely horrific items during the Tucker Trials.

Throughout the season of I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025, we’ve seen the campmates consume a Breakfast Bowel — made up of a boar’s anus, a chicken heart and beef tripe, a Crappa-cino — made up of lamb tongue and oesophagus with sour milk foam and a Pancake Surprise — a cow’s penis.

Considering how vile these dishes are, some fans on social media have been questioning if the dishes are actually fake. However, campmate Harrison Reid has assured Chattr in a post elimination interview that the contestants are actually eating the repulsive items.

“I had that same kind of thought in previous years but I actually ate humble pie because that was horrible. It is real.”

Harrison during the Block-Bug-Ster Video food challenge. Image: Ten.

Harrison reveals the worst thing about the food challenges

Poor Harrison had to take part in two food challenges. The first was Block-Bug-Ster Video which saw him dine on cow brains and a goat’s anus.

While Harrison legitimately consumed those two animal parts, he said the worst part about the challenge wasn’t actually the awful taste.

“It was horrible. But, if you think it looks bad, the smell was 1000 times worse, you cannot even comprehend how bad it was. I’d vomit and but I’d still have that same taste in my mouth for about two days after,” he told Chattr.

Harrison went on to reflect on his second eating challenge, which saw him chow down on a selection of pies with his hands tied behind his back.

“There was one nice pie in there, but the rest were chicken hearts, animal off cuts and grilled cockroaches. Then, when I was eating it, because my hands were tied behind my back, they put flies and maggots in there.

“I couldn’t see out my goggles because of the cream that went on top of a couple of the pies. So I could just feel worms in my mouth wriggling around, but the crunch of the fires as well. So it was horrific.”

Get us a bucket.

Are the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 Tucker Trials safe?

One would think that consuming animal parts covered in flies wouldn’t be exactly sanitary.

However, Harrison said the contestants are given a rundown before undergoing the food challenges.

“It’s all covered, we get a safety briefing and we can tap out at any time, but when you’re hungry, it’s not really an option,” he said.

Fortunately for Harrison’s stomach, he’s now been yeeted out of the jungle, so he’ll have the option to enjoy roach-free pies again.

The I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 finale airs on February 17 at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

MAFS 2025’s Carina reveals her biggest regret and it involves Morena

The most recent Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 Dinner Party was explosive. Most of the drama involved the group calling out Ryan Donnelly for his cooked comments about Jacqueline Burfoot behind her back, and Morena Farina got pretty fired up.

When Paul Antoine tried to turn the heat on Morena, mentioning that he’d heard her yelling and slamming a door in a possible argument with her husband Tony Mojanovski, all hell broke loose. Morena pointed her finger at Paul and unleashed on him, calling him a “little boy”.

Paul’s wife Carina Mirable sat shellshocked as the drama unfolded, but she tells Chattr her biggest regret is that she didn’t get involved.

“I actually wish I could go back in time and speak up for my husband and just have his back a little bit more,” she admits. ”I was kind of caught in the middle of it and I was just listening to what was out playing in front of me.”

“It was pretty brutal how she spoke to Paul, and I think he really tried to get his view across… what he heard is what he heard. And it was very evident that she was not in a very good place with Tony and in her relationship.”

MAFS 2025 bride Carina

Carina adds that there was nothing wrong with Paul questioning Morena and Tony’s relationship because he did hear her yelling and slamming a door.

“I think her reaction and pointing the finger at him was just a bit uncalled for and unnecessary. I think she can be a little bit blindsided by her old traditional mindset,” she says.

Carina thinks Tony isn’t the villain Morena makes him out to be

Carina also tells Chattr that Morena doesn’t “understand anyone else’s point of view”, and that it’s “her way or the highway”.

The bride mentions she tried to convey the acts of kindness Tony was making to Morena, but she didn’t listen.

“I was trying to come from a place of you know, Tony bought your kids flights, and it’s only been what, two weeks in? That’s a form of love language that he’s reflecting on to you, that he’s trying to show that he’s showing up for you,” she recalls.

“How can you not see the positiveness in that? But yet, I feel like Morena was seeing the negative in a lot of things that Tony was trying to implement in their love life.”

Tony and Morena MAFS 2025 Dinner Party
Tony and Morena on MAFS. Image: Nine

This comes after a former MAFS post producer said that Tony doesn’t seem “entirely innocent”, but condemned Morena’s behaviour in a scathing TikTok

Morena will surely continue to pipe up and spill more info about what went on behind the scenes, so we’ll have to see what happens next!

“I’ve slept on a beach a few times, sure that’s cute but this is going to be hard,” he told Network 10.

A fan of Survivor and inspired by challenge beast Simon Mee, Paulie believes his ability to quickly connect and put people at ease (honed by years on the job) will be his key to success.

Paul, aka PD, is a Sydney dad of two who juggles life as a brewery salesman by day and a soccer coach by night.

A former National Soccer League player who represented Australia, he’s spent the last decade coaching, and he’s ready to bring those skills to his Survivor tribe. “I’ve always got plan A and plan B. Now, plan A is our game plan, but plan B is to do plan A even better,” he explained to Network 10.

While PD is prepared for the mental and physical challenges of the game, he joked that leaving his dog, Rocky, might be the toughest part: “Please don’t tell my family this, but I will miss my dog, Rocky, the most out of everybody back home.”

Ursula

Ursula from Australian Survivor 2025 Brains v Brawn II

Ursula is a fitness and nutrition coach, powerlifter, and mother of two who brings serious Brawn strength to Survivor.

Fierce, strong, and unapologetically honest, she’s ready for the game but admits her blunt honesty could create trouble. “I am very honest, sometimes too honest,” she said to Network 10.

“If people can’t handle it, that’s not my problem,” she added

Still, while Ursula is disciplined and focused, she’s also ready to show her fun side: “I’m funny. I have a very dry sense of humour and am loud and bubbly when I want to be.”

Zen, the youngest member of the tribe and a Hip Hop artist from the Gold Coast, is eager to embrace nature and test his mental and physical limits.

Zen feels the hardest part of his time on Survivor will be holding back his leadership instincts and allowing others to take charge.

“Having to hide the testosterone levels and simmer down the level of intelligence and… play under and allow someone to take the leadership position. This will be the hardest part,” he said to Network 10.

Zen plans to use his strengths and “psychological tricks” to win the game.

“I wouldn’t say manipulation, but I’ll definitely be using my influence to get what I want,” he added.

Former MAFS producer slams Morena’s claims and calls her edit ‘accurate’

Controversial Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 bride Morena Farina has been going rogue lately, slamming her husband Tony Mojanoviski left, right and centre. She even dropped some massive bombshells on Abbie Chatfield’s podcast, and randomly DM’d *checks notes*… Harrison Boon?!

But a former MAFS post producer has come out swinging at Morena, saying that she can’t blame the edit for her wild behaviour on screen. You know, like yelling at Tony a bunch of times before turning on Paul Antoine at the Dinner Party and calling him a “little boy”.

“I’m a former Married At First Sight producer and I can tell you that Morena is getting this edit because she’s a psycho. That’s why she’s getting this edit,” Alexandria Funnell said on TikTok.

“It’s not because she’s been taken out of context, or ‘cause Tony’s secretly married. It’s because she is like this. And she can come out swinging, she can come out arguing all she wants, I can promise you this will be an accurate reflection of what she’s like as a person.”

@alexandriafunnell Morena has ahd her fair share of unfair things in her life. But she can’t deny the way her behaviour is being perceived. #selfreflection #accountability ♬ original sound – Alexandria Funnell

The former MAFS producer added that Morena’s behaviour “isn’t acceptable”, saying that the bride likely doesn’t think her behaviour is as “intense” as it comes across on screen.

“I think she thinks it’s fine, which is while she’ll be like, I don’t get the hate, I don’t get the hate! No this was, all these reasons, I have all these reasons to be feeling this way. I was so misconstrued,” she added.

In the comments, Alexandria noted that she doesn’t think that Tony is “entirely innocent”, but condemned Morena’s behaviour.

Does a ‘bad edit’ really exist?

That’s Showbiz Baby! podcast host Alexandria told Chattr that it’s “complicated” when it comes to contestants having “bad edits”.

“There’s no single truth here. That’s why there’s so many conflicting versions of events — even from producers and participants themselves,” the former reality TV producer explained.

“I’ve worked on scenes where, after post-production, a participant later criticised the edit in the media — and I strongly disagreed with them. I’ve also been on seasons where multiple participants were unhappy with their portrayal, leaving us baffled because what aired was an accurate reflection of how they behaved during the experiment.”

@alexandriafunnell Replying to @ants ♬ original sound – Alexandria Funnell

She concedes that there are always complex “nuances” that come into play, as contestants can have different “reasons, justifications and perspectives” as to who is really at fault. And of course, this is hard to cram into a two-and-a-half-minute scene.

But for the most part, she believes the edit “follows the natural personalities and dynamics that emerge as the experiment progresses”.

“How often has a season’s ‘villain’ later shown themselves to be exactly who they were portrayed as? A lot! Once the show has aired, there’s no more editing — just them being themselves,” she said. “It happens every year and you can see it happening with Morena now.”

Another reality TV producer defends Morena

However, another reality TV producer tells Chattr they are asked to milk contestants’ emotions for all they’re worth. Placing brides and grooms in high-pressure situations with experienced producers means tensions can certainly be heightened.

“I was taught early on by a senior producer how to make reality TV contestants cry. You’re told to find their ‘wound’ and ‘pick the wound until it bleeds’,” our source spills.

“It’s manipulative, but that’s what goes into making good TV.”

Plus, the producer said they’ve spent hours trawling through footage and transcripts to find the perfect sound bite that suits the narrative or storyline.

“You can’t physically put words into somebody’s mouth, but you can take things out of context or leave parts out,” they say.

One thing’s for sure, this definitely won’t be the end of the ‘bad edit’ debate. Many of the MAFS 2025 cast have already spoken out about their edits, and with intruders on the horizon, there’ll likely be more to come!

MAFS 2025 Episode 12 Recap: Jacqui asks Ryan to rank his… sister?

No one talks about their wife’s intimacy behind her back on our watch. And you know what? The Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 women should’ve spoken to Jacqui after they heard about the comment too. I think the whole MAFS 2025 cast deserves a good wake-up call at tonight’s dinner party! Let’s recap.

The MAFS 2025 brides recap the week at the dinner party.
Ladies, it would’ve been nice to give the girl a heads up, no? Image: Nine.

As Ryan and Jacqui walk in, he tells her to have his back tonight, likely because he knows he will be in the firing line. As soon as they arrive — Ryan wearing that disgusting jacket he must’ve borrowed from Jayden Eynaud, mind you — they try and convince everyone how well they’re doing after pressing the reset button.

Ryan and Jacqui enter the MAFS dinner party together.
We are a Super Nintendo console, duh. Image: Nine.

MAFS dinner party table calls out Ryan

It all comes crashing down, however, when Sierah asks Jacqui if her mouth has been on or around Ryan’s penis. When she says no, it makes the women wonder if Ryan has been telling fibs about their sex life. Would it surprise literally anyone?

Billy questions Ryan's comments about jacqui at the MAFS dinner party.
Billy sure is making his play for the camera time this season, isn’t he? Image: Nine.

The “crazy eyes” comment is very quickly brought up by Billy over dinner and Jacqui didn’t even care, really. Did she watch Mr Deeds? That’s where my mind goes any time I hear this comment, which is surprisingly a lot on this show.

“Crazy eyes” is a mean thing to say, Jacqui. From your husband or from anyone. Don’t justify his behaviour by saying you actually do have crazy eyes. And don’t talk about yourself like that.

Jacqui finds out what Ryan said about her during MAFS intimacy week.
Now you decide to stop backing yourself? Really? Image: Nine.

Then the comment about giving head (we assume that’s what he said) is brought up, and she starts throwing arms and declaring she deserves better. She must be feeling really humiliated. I would be. She is allowed to act however she wants upon finding out her partner spoke about her like that.

Ryan is called out for his rude comments about wife Jacqui during MAFS intimacy week.
This is your fault. And your hideous jacket’s. Image: Nine.

Jacqui brings up the photo ranking challenge — again — and suggests that Ryan ranks his sister, who he clarifies is beautiful, among the MAFS 2025 brides in the room. I’m really trying to understand her, and then she goes and says something as absurd as that.

Big Dave becomes a Big Fucking Angry Giant and annihilates Ryan. I wish it happened earlier, but I’m just glad it happened at all at this point. And I’m glad it came from a man, because you know how men are. They need one of their own to tell ‘em.

Morena’s not happy

You know who’s angrier, though? MORENA. This bride has been going ROGUE on social media and on Abbie Chatfield‘s podcast alike, suggesting the producers have pulled a fast one on her. Do I think they’ve edited her to make her look worse than she is? Absolutely? Does she still make me uncomfortable, like she does Carina? Yeah.

Morena argues with Paul while Carina looks uncomfortable at the MAFS 2025 dinner party recap.
Lady, you’re scaring us. Image: Nine.

She grills Ryan before taking aim at Paul, who she calls a “little boy”. I’m just glad the bloke got some airtime. Oui!

We finish the episode with a bit of footsies between Sierah and Adrian. He is now using his body parts to communicate because his speech is failing him.

Anyway, MAFS 2025’s cheating scandal has arrived! Yay. Hopefully it’s what we’ll be unpacking in the next recap.

A version of this recap initially appeared on the Talking Schmidt Substack and has been reproduced here with permission.

MAFS 2025’s Adrian addresses ‘footsie scandal’ with Sierah in rogue TikTok

Adrian Araouzou has taken to TikTok to poke fun at the ‘footsie scandal’ shown at the Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2025 Dinner Party and hints at an upcoming cheating scandal between him and Sierah Swepstone.

During the final moments of the second MAFS Dinner Party, which aired on February 12, Awhina Rutene was seen on one side of the table venting about her relationship with Adrian to Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels after her husband had moved to sit near Sierah.

The camera then panned into Sierah and Adrian rubbing feet under the table before the MAFS bride sent a subtle air kiss his way.

What did Adrian say about the ‘footsie’ scandal?

Adrian posted a clip to TikTok the day after the Dinner Party aired and shared a tidbit of info about what viewers can expect to see in upcoming episodes.

“I’m going to address what happened last night at the Dinner Party,” he began.

“This is what I 100% can confirm,” he added before panning the camera down to his feet.

“That no one in their right mind [is] playing footsies with these feet. Like, respectfully, this toe is than this toe. I don’t know if that is normal, and I don’t know what is going on.”

“So that is what I can confirm. As for the rest, you’re all going to have to stay tuned and see what happens next.”

What happens between Adrian and Sierah?

The MAFS promo shows Sierah telling the relationship experts at the Commitment Ceremony that she’s “opened up” to Adrian.

Daily Mail Australia has reported that the MAFS cast went out for a “boozy night”, and Adrian and Sierah continued the party back in her apartment while Billy was down the hall watching football in one of the other MAFS participants’ rooms.

The publication said that the couple secretly went out to dinner a few nights later, and their partners, Billy Belcher and Awhina Rutene, learned about their tryst at the commitment ceremony.

Adrian vaguely addressed the cheating scandal in an interview with Chattr.

“I’m a nice person, I care about everyone. Everyone has feelings, and if I see someone upset, regardless of who it was on the show, whether it be someone on the show or production, you know, I will definitely go out of my way to make sure that they’re okay,” he said. “And, yeah, I mean, with me and Sierah, that’s what I’ve done. And as for any funny business, we have to wait and see.”

MAFS 2025’s Sierah Swepstone rushed to hospital after cheating scandal episode

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 bride Sierah Swepstone suffered a medical emergency on Thursday and was swiftly taken to hospital.

As per Daily Mail, She was seen holding her chest while looking upset, with a paramedic and police officers helping her into an ambulance.

The ambulance took the 31-year-old bride to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in the middle of the day. At this stage, it’s unknown what caused her distress, but it happened the day after the ‘cheating scandal’ she’s involved in with groom Adrian Araouzou aired on TV.

ICYMI, during the MAFS Dinner Party, footage appeared to catch Adrian and Sierah playing footsies underneath the dinner table. Sierah also looked to be gazing at Adrian intensely and puckered up her lips in his direction.

The preview for the next Commitment Ceremony hints at Sierah talking about Adrian, but it’s unclear if anything romantic actually happened between the two, or if they’re just good friends.

Adrian told Daily Mail that talks of footsie was “ridiculous”, saying that there wasn’t anything intentional going on.

“Look, if bumping feet under a crowded dinner table is cheating, then half the cast must be guilty. It’s ridiculous,” he said.

“If that is cheating, then I also cheated with Jeff [Gobbels], Rhi [Disljenkovic] and everyone else at the Dinner Party because we were all sitting close together.”

Did Adrian and Sierah cheat on MAFS 2025?

According to reports, Adrian and Sierah went on private dinner dates without telling their partners.

MAFS 2025 Adrian
Adrian is paired with Awhina Rutene on MAFS. Image: Nine

However, Adrian told Chattr that he “cares about everyone” and claimed he was simply comforting Sierah during a time of need.

“I’m a nice person, I care about everyone. Everyone has feelings, and if I see someone upset, regardless of who it was on the show, whether it be someone on the show or production, you know, I will definitely go out of my way to make sure they’re okay,” Adrian said.

“And yeah, I mean with me and Sierah, that’s what I’ve done. And as for any funny business, we have to wait and see.”

The next episode is definitely going to be juicy!!!

The real Apple Cider Vinegar whistleblower has revealed how she confronted Belle Gibson

Netflix’s latest hit Apple Cider Vinegar is a sensationalised version of Aussie Belle Gibson’s story. You know, the woman who faked cancer, made a bunch of money and then was exposed.

Belle was one of Australia’s first wellness influencers, and she claimed that she was able to manage terminal brain cancer using natural medicine, exercise and diet. She created The Whole Pantry app, wrote a cookbook and pretended to make large donations to charity.

Chanelle McAuliffe, the whistleblower who exposed Belle’s lies, is depicted in the show as Chanelle (Aisha Dee). She recently spoke out on Listnr about how “crazy” it was confronting Belle back in 2014.

“I did go there having one per cent of me thinking, oh gosh, what if I have this all wrong? Obviously, nobody wants to question somebody who’s dying of cancer, this young single mother,” she said.

Belle Gibson's friend Chanelle McAuliffe

“However, that night, it just confirmed everything.”

Chanelle said she sat Belle down and demanded to see medical reports, records or any oncologist reports to prove Belle had cancer.

“She said that she didn’t keep any of that paperwork because it was a negative energy in her house,” she said. “She had just announced her cancer was stage four. It had just progressed all through her body, her blood, her uterus, her spleen, and this was basically a death sentence.”

When Chanelle asked who had given her the diagnosis, Belle said “Doctor Phil” had picked her up and taken her to be diagnosed at his clinic.

Apple Cider Vinegar whistleblower Chanelle McAuliffe questions Netflix show

There are some key differences between Chanelle and the character played by Aisha Dee. Unlike Apple Cider Vinegar, Chanelle wasn’t Belle’s manager but a close friend, and she didn’t know Jessica Ainscough in real life, who fans believe inspired the Milla Blake (Alycia Debnam-Carey) character.

In a TikTok, Chanelle said she had “nothing to do with the Netflix show” and raised some important points.

“I don’t entirely feel comfortable around some of the ethics of this type of storytelling and how the truth has been distorted in the show, and I just really hope that the core important messages about this story isn’t lost through the glamorisation of this show,” she said.

“Remember, there’s been really vulnerable people in real life that have been impacted by this.”

Chanelle has hinted in the comments that she’s going to make some more TikTok videos to reveal what was true and what was changed for the show, which will be interesting to see!

Meet MAFS 2025 bride Kiwi lawyer Jacqui Burfoot

With the full cast of Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2025 now officially hitched, we’ve met a fresh lineup of, um, interesting personalities, including bride Jacqui Burfoot.

Jacqueline is a New Zealand native who is more than just good looks! In fact, she’s a very smart cookie and known as the life of the party.

Read on to learn more about MAFS 2025 bride Jacqueline.

What is MAFS’ Jacqui’s job?

According to Jacqui’s LinkedIn, she graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce in 2018. Between 2019 and 2024, Jacqueline has had several roles as a lawyer and investment analyst.

She has also studied at the College of Law Australia and Harvard Business School Online.

One of her colleagues endorsed her on LinkedIn, saying she is one of the “most hardworking, dedicated, and intelligent lawyer-turned-entrepreneurs”.

“Throughout the women’s tech accelerator at the University of Auckland and our class, it was clear that she will excel wherever she is and at whatever she applies herself to,” her peer noted on LinkedIn.

Jacqui claims to be Miss New Zealand

During her MAFS debut, we found out that Jacqui is a busy woman looking for a masculine man who lets her embrace her feminine side.

She also shared that she’s a model and a certified yoga teacher, and she even claimed the title of Miss New Zealand in 2012. But after a little investigation, Chattr discovered that might not be the full story…

Who is Jacqui paired with on MAFS 2025?

Jacqui’s MAFS 2025 husband is Ryan Donnelly. Ryan is an actor, and his friends have said he is a “nice guy”.

Split image: Ryan Donnelly dropping Jacqui at their MAFS 2025 wedding reception as guests react (left) and Ryan posing in a white tuxedo jacket (right)

The couple’s rollercoaster dynamic on MAFS has some whiplashed viewers speculating if Jacqui and Ryan are a production plant — a theory groom Adrian Araouzou shut down in an interview with Chattr.

Jacqui slams Ryan’s ‘intentionally derogatory’ comments

ICYMI, Ryan made a ‘joke’ about Jacqui having “crazy eyes” during the males-only session with Alessandra Rampolla. It didn’t go down well because former groom Jake Luik took the same dig at Jacqui behind her back during Commitment Week. In an attempt to smooth things over, Ryan told his fellow grooms that it was fine because Jacqui was really good at oral sex. Ugh, men.

Ryan recently appeared on Today Extra to apologise for his comments, but Jacqui has slammed the groom, saying she has yet to receive an apology herself.

Carina Mirable told Chattr that all the brides have since reached out to Jacqui to offer their support, which is really sweet.

“I reached out to her as well and told her that I’m there for you. Obviously I live in a different state to Jacqui, so I can just do that over text message,” Carina said.

“She really admired the support that I gave her and felt really grateful.”

Are MAFS 2025’s Jacqui and Ryan still together?

If you don’t want to see a spoiler, look away now!

Jacqui recently posted on Instagram that she is currently in a relationship with a “kind and considerate” man. Looks like Ryan got tossed in the bin!

However, this could all be a cheeky red herring to throw us off the scent. We’ll have to wait and see.

Their drama makes for top-tier reality TV, and we can’t stop watching or wondering where the two are headed next!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Sarah Marie Fahd on why her Gogglebox return is so important

Gogglebox Australia season 21 is hitting our screens next week, and viewers will be delighted to see Sarah Marie Fahd back in the hot seat alongside her husband Matty Fahd and their bestie Jad Nehmetallah.

Sarah Marie has been absent for two years due to maternity leave, but has seen her DM’s flooded with messages from fans begging her to come back ever since.

“Now that I am coming back, the response has been incredible. Everyone’s been so excited, including myself,” she tells Chattr. “I’ve missed being on…it’s a perfect time to be back.”

Sarah Marie Fahd loves the positive Arab representation on Gogglebox

The family will be joined by their kids Malik and Lyon, and representing a mix of Filipino and Lebanese heritage is something Sarah Marie doesn’t take lightly. In this current climate, being part of positive Arab-Australian representation on mainstream Aussie TV is a big deal.

“When it comes to seeing someone like yourself on TV growing up, we didn’t have anyone that looked like us or sounded like us, unless it was your stereotypical kind for comedic purposes,” she explains.

“My mum is Filipino, my dad is Lebanese, mixed religious backgrounds as well. My father is Muslim, my mother is Catholic, my husband [is] Lebanese, and being able to see people like us on TV, it’s not just been important for us personally and my kids to be able to see that, but the response we’ve had from other people, whether they be Lebanese or not.”

She adds that it’s important to have positive Arab representation on TV, “now more than ever”, and relishes in the chance to break away from stereotypes. The family love showing off their “humour” and “normalcy”, especially now their kids have joined the show.

“People still often confuse being Lebanese or Arab with a specific religion, but Arab culture is diverse. there are Christian Arabs, Muslim Arabs, and people who don’t follow any religion at all,” Sarah Marie explains. “It’s great to share this with audiences so they can learn and gain a better understanding of our community in a positive way.”

“I think it’s all about learning and people accepting different nationalities.”

Was it a hard decision for Matty and Sarah Marie Fahd to include their kids?

Gogglebox Australia is known as one of Australia’s more wholesome reality TV shows, with much less manufactured drama, than say, MAFS

For the Fahd family, having their kids join them on the couch was a big decision. Sarah Marie says she knew the TV show was a “safe space” and also trusts the fans.

“We trusted the show. Otherwise, we would never have had the kids on the show [with us],” she says. “It is the type of place where I’m like, okay, I can have my kids there, and they’re well looked after on the couch with us, even the fans of the show are absolutely incredible.”

“It’s such a positive show to be part of that, I was happy for them to be on it.”

Gogglebox Australia returns February 20 at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Jacqui slams Ryan for ‘intentionally derogatory’ comments after watching the MAFS Dinner Party

Although Jacqui Burfoot may have backed her husband Ryan Donnelly during the shitshow that was the second Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 Dinner Party, she’s gained a new perspective since watching the episode back.

For the uninitiated, Ryan made a ‘joke’ about Jacqui having “crazy eyes” during a males-only session with relationship expert Alessandra Rampolla. The joke was especially offensive because fellow groom Jake Luik made the same comment behind Jacqui’s back during Commitment Week. On top of that, Ryan went on to tell the other grooms that Jacqui was particularly good at oral sex.

Ryan’s comments came to light during the second MAFS Dinner Party, which aired on February 12, when Dave Hand and Billy Belcher confronted him about the derogatory comments in front of the group.

What did Jacqui say after she watched the Dinner Party episode?

During the Dinner Party, Jacqui laughed off Ryan’s comments about her eyes, saying: “I do have crazy eyes, I agree.”

She added that she was “totally fine” with him saying the comment at the workshop.

However, when Dave revealed that Ryan said Jacqui “gives good head” on the couch at the intimacy workshop with Alessandra, the New Zealand bride was left a little frazzled.

Jacqui continued supporting Ryan in front of their cast mates but told a producer she was feeling “pretty humiliated and embarrassed.”

Now, after watching the episode back, Jacqui has realised the derogatory nature of Ryan’s comments.

“Tuesday night was the first time I saw and understood what he had actually said because nobody had the respect or decency to pull me aside in a private conversation where I wasn’t humiliated in front of a room full of people,” Jacqui wrote on her jewellery Instagram account, referring to the men’s workshop with Alessandra.

“It was worse than I ever thought it to be,” she continued.

“I wish one of the guys had just pulled me aside for a private chat to explain what was said and maybe pulled Ryan aside to explain the issue in private instead of putting the issue onto me to deal with in front of everyone.”

Jacqui says Ryan still hasn’t apologised to her

Ryan sat down for an interview with Today Extra after his initial workshop comments aired and apologised to the nation for them.

However, Jacqui has clarified that she still hasn’t received the apology she believes she deserves from her TV husband.

“To this day, I haven’t received an apology for the derogatory tone and intent of those comments,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a screenshot of the Chattr article about Ryan’s apology.

“His apologies were never remorseful, not sincere and were always justifications like “it was just a joke” or “You should take it as a compliment [that] I feel comfortable joking around you like one of the boys” or “I’m sorry” with no specifics or understanding as to why he was apologising.

“Watching him laugh and apologise on Today Extra [two] days ago was triggering because it’s a serious issue and not something to laugh off on national TV. I hope he learns a lesson from this but I don’t believe that’s possible — I tried and gave up this battle — the group couldn’t do it either.”

Hear, hear, sister.

Four massive MAFS 2025 bombshells from Abbie Chatfield’s interview with Morena Farina

Fiery Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 bride Morena Farina has gone rogue and unleashed spicy show secrets during an interview with Abbie Chatfield. While we see a bunch of drama happen on screen, it turns out there’s even more going on behind the scenes.

Let’s dive in, shall we?

Morena reveals slut shaming on MAFS

According to Morena, her husband Tony Mojanovski was forced to apologise to her after making a comment.

“I said, ‘Tony, I need you to take a photo of me’. And he said, ‘You got the look of a S-L-U-T’, and I said, ‘I beg your pardon?’,” Morena claimed on Abbie’s It’s A Lot podcast.

“He then took my photo. A producer was there. She made him apologise to me.”

Morena’s wild claim about Tony “ordering” a 40-year-old

The MAFS bride also claimed that Tony wasn’t pleased when he was matched with a 57-year-old. On the night of the wedding, he apparently said he had “ordered” a 40-year-old.

“He told me the night before when we left the wedding, he said, ‘I ordered a 40-year-old. I saw that you were leaked in the papers. I thought you were 40’. And I said, ‘Everything in that article is correct, but I’m not 40’. And he’s like, ‘Well, I didn’t order you. I ordered a 40-year-old’,” Morena claimed.

Tony apparently said he wanted to have a baby

Another point Morena made was that Tony apparently said he wanted a younger wife so he could have a child. However, she revealed that he’s apparently infertile, and has an adopted daughter.

“His lovely cousin confirmed it for me… she was messaging me,” Morena spilled.

Tony wanted to bring his wife onto MAFS

Morena said she wasn’t upset that Tony was married, or that he still loves his wife. She did, however, hate the fact that Tony supposedly wanted to bring his wife on the show to make good TV.

The MAFS bride claimed that Tony was unable to go to the US to be with his wife and adopted daughter due to visa issues, so he couldn’t get back to see them.

Morena reiterated the point to Chattr, saying that Tony revealed his grand plan during the first Commitment Ceremony. “He said last night in front of everyone on the couch he loves his wife, he wants his wife, bring her in. It’s gonna make a good show,” she claimed.

“It’s not right to go on a show [and] get married when you’re legally married and still love your spouse. There’s a difference between moving forward and being dishonest with yourself. He can’t get to his wife because he has a visa issue.”

Yikes, that’s definitely a lot to take in. No wonder Morena is going rogue, if she’s got all these juicy secrets to spill! Wonder what we’ll see play out on TV in the next few weeks.

MAFS’ Dave explained why he didn’t initially call out Ryan’s “disgusting” comments

One of the most controversial moments in Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 so far has to have been Ryan Donnelly making an X-rated comment about his wife, Jacqui Burfoot. The incident occurred during a discussion following the Intimacy Week Fantasy task, and it left all of his fellow castmates stunned – with MAFSDave Thomas particularly incensed.

MAFS' Ryan made shocking remarks about wife Jacqui.

While Dave stayed quiet like the rest of the MAFS grooms during the shocking moment, which saw Ryan making fun of Jacqui’s “crazy eyes“, before telling the other men that she was good at a particular sex act, we then saw the groom share his regret with wife Jamie Marinos, telling her he wished he had said something when the incident occurred.

What has Dave said?

With Ryan issuing an apology to Jacqui and his castmates today, Dave has also expanded on his experience. Speaking to 9Entertainment, he said the moment blindsided him.

MAFS' Dave looked very unimpressed by Ryan's comments.
Dave was visibly offended by Ryan’s comments, but didn’t speak up at the time. Image: Nine.

“When someone says a comment as disgusting as what Ryan said, it definitely catches you off guard,” he explained, adding that he didn’t want to cause a scene.

“I was like – OK, Alessandra [Rampolla] is here, I just can’t go off at him. I wanted to bite my tongue for the respect of Alessandra. It wasn’t a Dinner Party.”

He was also concerned that speaking up would create an uncomfortable situation for Alessandra. “I didn’t want to get into an argument in front of her, and then she had to handle six or seven men arguing,” he added.

Dave was also worried about the timing being off

Dave also said that he and the other grooms spoke to their wives as a way of sourcing advice. “We handled it in a way where we went back, got some advice from our partners and it definitely wasn’t something that was going to be swept under the rug,” he explained.

“It’s definitely something that needs to be brought up, I just feel like there’s a time and place for that especially when we’re on an experiment on TV.”

That “time and place” is likely going to be at the Dinner Party tonight. How will Jacqui react to not just Ryan’s comments but the radio silence from her castmates?

A Love Island Australia finalist has made the Australian Idol Top 30

If you got a severe case of deja vu when you saw Clint Posselt belting out Sam Sparro‘s Black and Gold on Australian Idol 2025, it’s probably because you’ve already seen him grafting on Love Island Australia.

Yep, Clint’s been on TV before, and his stint on Australian Idol marks his *third* time on a reality show. Perhaps it will be a case of third-time lucky, and Clint will finally secure a win.

Clint was sent through to the Australian Idol Top 30 during the episode that aired on February 4 after impressing judges Amy Shark, Kyle Sandilands and Marcia Hines with his vocals.

Prior to competing on the singing show, Clint went all the way to the finals on Love Island Australia 2023 and was a contestant on The Voice Australia back in 2018.

Australian Idol’s Clint was on Love Island

Clint entered the Love Island 2023 villa as an intruder towards the end of the season. He instantly hit it off with unlucky-in-love Islander Savanah Badgers, and the two coupled up shortly after his arrival.

The couple’s time in the villa was relatively smooth sailing, and they made it to the finale. However, Kale Roberts and Tyra Johannes took out the win, with Clint and Savanah coming in third after runners-up Lucinda Strafford and Zac Nunns, who’ve since split.

Alas, Clint and Savanah’s relationship was meant to be, as they split shortly after filming the show.

“Me and Clint aren’t together anymore,” Savanah confirmed to 9Entertainment.

“It just sort of fizzled out after we got back to life and real responsibilities. We only knew each other for a week.”

How did Clint go on The Voice Australia?

Australian Idol marks Clint’s second attempt at winning a singing reality show.

He managed to turn all four judges chairs during The Voice 2018 Blind Auditions with his performance of Malibu by Miley Cyrus. He was eliminated during the Knockouts round where he sang Slow Hands by Niall Horan.

Following his elimination from The Voice Australia, Clint told Cairns Post that he hoped to continue his musical career.

“I want to continue music but start nice and steady, get (my) face out there,” he said.

“The show has given me great exposure and a really good opportunity to make music a meaningful part of my life.”

“I’ll start with covers and then eventually I’d like to have some of my own music, so I am just going to use this opportunity to get out and give it a go,” he added.

Well, auditioning for Australian Idol is certainly one way to do just that!

Catch Australian Idol 2025 on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays on Channel 7 and 7plus.

MAFS’ Ryan has publicly apologised for those x-rated comments about Jacqui

Following last night’s shocking episode of Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025, we expected a little damage control from the cast, in particular from Ryan Donnelly, who was central to the scandalous gossip about his wife, Jacqui Burfoot, that spread like wildfire through the apartment complex, as his fellow grooms spilled tea to their respective wives.

ICYMI, Ryan and the other grooms met with expert Alessandra Rampolla after completing the Fantasy task set during Intimacy Week. While discussing the highs and lows of the challenge, Ryan brought up an ongoing argument between him and Jacqui regarding words of affirmation.

What did Ryan say on MAFS?

During the discussion, Ryan said Jacqui’s “crazy eyes came out”, referencing a comment made by ex-castmate Jake Luik. It went down like a lead balloon with the other grooms and Alessandra, but the situation worsened when Ryan then made a comment about Jacqui being particularly good at a sex act.

While the actual sentence was partially bleeped out, it was clearly graphic in nature, shocking the other grooms and Alessandra.

Naturally, fans were in uproar over the incident, as was Jacqui – who took to Instagram, saying she was “ashamed and disappointed” not simply by Ryan’s comments but by the inaction of other grooms at the time, none of whom spoke up in her defence, and about the gossip that ripped through the other couples.

Ryan apologises on national TV

Ryan has been quick to apologise about the comments, appearing on Today Extra the morning after the episode aired. “I think the medical diagnosis is foot-in-mouth disease?” he joked before saying he is a “massive believer in ownership” and that he looks back at the comments as one of his “biggest regrets”.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to the viewers, to Jacqui, to anyone who was offended by it, to Alessandra for being present in the room,” he continued more soberly.

MAFS' Ryan and Jacqui after their wedding.
Ryan and Jacqui’s relationship has been anything but smooth sailing. Image: Nine.

Still, Ryan went on the defence at one point. “To put into context, the average person says like 10 times more explicit things on a regular basis with their mates,” he began before adding, “Now, that does not excuse my comment. It was both ungentlemanly and disrespectful and on national television.”

Ryan did not discuss the gossip that spread after his shocking statement and didn’t reference an apology to Jacqui made during the show. However, it’s practically a certainty that the X-rated comments will be brought up once again at the next Dinner Party, and we expect that Ryan will be facing plenty of criticism from both fellow castmates and his wife Jacqui.

Every MAFS 2025 star who has complained about bad editing

So far, it feels like this Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 season has been the most controversial yet, at least when it comes to off-air gossip. Several stars (and anonymous insiders) have spoken out about the reality show’s supposedly bad editing, giving us tea that’s usually reserved for post-show podcast episodes and Instagram “AMAs”.

Fans of Married At First Sight aren’t delusional – everyone knows the show is edited for maximum drama. But just where are those edits placed, and how much of what we see is really what went down? That’s the question that’s being fuelled by the show’s current stars, several of whom have already complained about sneaky producer moves to turn them into villains.

Jacqui says her chaotic energy isn’t the entire story

Jacqui Burfoot has been one of the most fascinating MAFS 2025 brides in the show’s history, from her deep hatred of TV in the bedroom to wedding vows that read more like a job application resume.

But, according to Jacqui, all may not be as it seems on our screens. She recently posted an Instagram Story complaining about MAFS’ bad editing, saying her “character makes no sense” on the show because of a “highly fictional storyline”.

“I can’t sit back and support misleading and deceptive stories,” she added before listing several traits she feels weren’t properly exhibited on MAFS.

Jacqui has also hinted at sneaky editing in a separate Instagram post about Jake Luik‘s infamous comment regarding her appearance.

Jacqui Burfoot claims the "crazy eyes" MAFS comment was made by someone other than Jake Luik.
What didn’t we see from the MAFS Commitment Ceremony? Image: Instagram / jacquelineleejewellery

While she does acknowledge that Jake told his wife Ashleigh Ackerman Jacqui had “crazy eyes” during the Photo Ranking task, she added that “it was an inside joke someone else was making” and that Jake seemed “full of remorse” during the Commitment Ceremony, something that was not aired.

Jake insists “crazy eyes” comment didn’t come from him first

Jake began his time on MAFS 2025 as a fan favourite, but this quickly changed after his damning comments made during the Photo Ranking task. From racist comments about Awhina Rutene to saying Jacqui Burfoot had “crazy eyes”, his behaviour led to the dissolution of his marriage to Ashleigh and attracted the ire of MAFS fans.

Since leaving the show, Jake has given a tell-all interview to The Daily Mail, insisting that what was aired was not the full story, and was instead just bad editing.

“If you look at just what’s on TV, it makes it look great,” he said. “But a lot of things I said, a lot of things I brought up, just got completely cut from the footage.”

Some cut footage, he alleges, involved Ashleigh disappearing for entire weekends, which made it difficult for them to build a relationship. He also suffered from a serious ear infection during filming, which wasn’t shown during the series.

Most controversial, however, are his claims that it was Ashleigh who called Jacqui “crazy eyes” first. According to Jake, she forgot her fellow bride’s name during a conversation and referred to her as “crazy eyes” in passing.

“I was made to look like I was the only one saying things, but that wasn’t the case.”

Morena claims Tony wanted his IRL wife on MAFS

In a really chaotic move, MAFS bride Morena Farina messaged ex-MAFS star Harrison Boon on Instagram, with Harrison then sharing the messages with Morena’s permission.

In the texts, Morena claims that her relationship with Tony Mojanovski was over before it began, with Tony revealing on their honeymoon that he is still married. While this wasn’t a total dealbreaker for Morena, his alleged revelation during the first Commitment Ceremony was.

Morena Farina's DM's were posted on Harrison Boon's Instagram account.

“…He told everyone at the Commitment Ceremony, which is this week, that he loves his wife,” she says in the messages, adding that he told producers he wanted them to bring his wife onto the show.

“He wants his wife, and he really thought he could come on the show and get his wife in the show. It would make good TV. What the hell?”

According to Morena, Tony was still pining for his IRL wife. Image: Nine.

Morena said this was a central issue in their relationship, but while she wanted to discuss it on the show, producers told her to “stop talking” about it and to “let it go”, as they were not going to make it a storyline.

“And then the production thinks, ‘Well, I’m gonna give it to her because she’s not doing what we want her to do’. I ruined their filming. This is why there was no footage on our honeymoon,” she continued.

Eliot says his show personality doesn’t reflect real-life

Eliot Donovan‘s short-lived relationship with Lauren Hall was central to the MAFS 2025 drama in early episodes after Eliot complained about Lauren’s age and implied that she spent too much money on designer handbags.

Eliot’s comments about Lauren’s age and spending habits were not well received. Image: Nine.

He eventually left the show (although – spoiler alert – will be returning as an intruder soon), and gave a revealing interview to The Daily Mail, blasting MAFS‘ bad editing.

“It’s so frustrating,” he says in the interview. “It’s so funny with the way that they can like cherry-pick parts of my personality and then not show other parts.”

The groom went on to say that context is lost amongst MAFS‘ bad editing. “It can make it completely different if you’re doing it in a way that sounds harsh and aggressive, obviously it’s going to come out a lot worse. If you’re saying it in defence of something or in a way where you are saying, look, I don’t think it’s fair or this or that, and you add context to it, then I think it communicates completely differently.”

We’ll see if Eliot’s edit turns around when he returns with a new bride.

Tim felt “stitched up” with his story arc

Easily the top villain (so far) of MAFS 2025, Tim Gromie set fans ablaze with his comments and treatment of his wife, Katie Johnston. From criticising producers for not placing him with a younger wife, to abandoning Katie until the first Commitment Ceremony, Tim’s behaviour on screen led to nationwide outrage.

Tim Gromie at the MAFS bucks party.
Tim is allegedly refusing to engage with MAFS after his portrayal on screen. Image: Nine.

Since MAFS began airing, Tim has deleted social media, and an insider revealed to The Daily Mail that he wants “nothing to do with the show”.

“He feels he was stitched up from the start and is now just trying to get through it with minimal damage to his career and reputation,” the insider spilled.

Tim has allegedly refused all interviews relating to MAFS, even opting out of a promotional shoot for the series.

With so many stars taking to alternative Instagram accounts to spill tea on MAFS this year, we’re sure there will be more rogue statements about bad editing in the weeks to come.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

“Trapped now”: Jett Kenny and Lily Brown address reports that she’s pregnant

The Amazing Race Australia 2024 alum Jett Kenny and Lily Brown have denied that she’s with a child after the former Ironman shared a bizarre Instagram video, which followers took to be a pregnancy announcement.

Jett shared a carousel of cute photos of the couple, who’ve been together since 2023, and the last slide was a cartoon video of an eagle giving birth to an egg, which hatched, and a photo of Lily came out.

Fans assumed the video was a pregnancy announcement and jumped into the comments section to congratulate the couple — while others questionably sent their condolences. After that, reports started emerging online that the glamorous couple was pregnant.

Are Jett Kenny and Lily Brown pregnant?

No, they’re not. Less than 24 hours after Jett shared the bizarre video the couple took to Instagram to confirm that they’re not expecting.

“I didn’t think I’d have to come on Instagram at 6:15am to address the fact that people think we’re pregnant from an eagle dropping an egg out of its bum and then a photo of Lily emerges, but we’re not pregnant,” Jett said to the camera.

Lily added, “We’re not pregnant for the fucking 1500th time, guys.”

Lily doubled down in the comments of Jett’s eagle birthing post. “How on earth is me hatching out of an eagle’s egg a pregnancy announcement. Not pregnant, for the 1000th time.”

Fans reactions to Jett’s eagle video

Jett’s controversial Instagram post received a slew of well wishes before the couple clarified that they were not, in fact, pregnant.

“Congratulations, you’re pregnant. How exciting. Congrats to the both of you,” one follower wrote.

“Exciting times ahead, congratulations to you both,” another penned.

Meanwhile, some other commentators had some harsh words about the idea of Lily and Jett starting a family, with one writing, “Trapped now.”

Instagram, it’s rough out there.
