Interview: Colin Fassnidge reveals the real reason he cried during Radha and Prabha’s restaurant

"We were all pretty emotional"

My Kitchen Rules judge Colin Fassnidge has revealed the real reason he cried during Radha and Prahba’s restaurant and it was all to do with Jock Zonfrillo.

During the September 6 episode, Fassnidge was brought to tears when the identical twins told the judges that the Indian dish was dedicated to their father who had passed away when they were two.

“That was the week that Jock died,” he revealed in an interview on Mediaweek and Chattr’s The Entertainment Hotline Podcast.

“Me and Frenchy [Manu Feildel] were quite upset and quite shocked. We were in our campervan and we were talking about ‘if you died tomorrow, what would your kid say about you?'” He continued.

“We were having this conversation between us and we were both telling each other we’re really good dads. And we asked, ‘What legacy would you have left behind?'”

Fassnidge explained that Radha and Prabha’s emotional tribute to their father really tugged at his heartstrings.

“They dropped that bombshell and I was like, ‘Oh my god!’ We were all pretty emotional.”

“I was trying not to cry. I was telling myself, don’t cry on TV. It was a lot of heart and there’s a lot of love in our industry.”

“They were telling the story about their dad, and we all need to think about our own kids and our own families or whatever. Because you know, we’re not gonna be here forever.
