With the semi-finals done and dusted, My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 grand finale is rapidly approaching. Maria and Bailey will face off against Justin and Will for the ultimate prize.
Before anyone claims the MKR 2025 title — and the massive prize that comes with it — they’ll have to face a nail-biting finale judged by some of Australia’s top chefs.
While the contestants film the finale months before it airs, this year’s winners may not even know their own fate. MKR 2025 winners Simone and Viviana told Chattr in an interview that they found out about their triumph at the same time as the rest of Australia.
“It was breathtaking,” Viviana shared, adding that they filmed alternative endings at the finale so the results weren’t leaked. “We didn’t know until last night, and it was easily one of the happiest moments of my life.”
So, with the MKR 2025 finale just around the corner, here’s everything you need to know.

Justin and Will are competing against Maria and Bailey one last time, to find out who is the MKR 2025 winner. Fans are rooting for Justin and Will, but Maria and Bailey believe they have what it takes to secure the win.

The MKR 2025 grand finale will take place on Sunday, November 16 at 7pm.
Who will return for the MKR grand finale?
Lil and Lol told Chattr all of the eliminated contestants returned for the MKR 2025 grand finale. “It was so good to see everybody,” Lol said. “I think when we first saw everyone, we were like screaming, running up the hallways, you know, jumping… obviously there’s a few people along the way that rub some feathers.”
According to the pair, Mark and Michael didn’t speak much to each other during filming the final episode.

What happens in the MKR grand finale?
While there’s no formal word on what exactly the MKR 2025 grand finale will entail, last year’s saw the top two teams cook an entree, main and dessert for judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge, as well as special guest judge Julie Godwin.
The three professional chefs judged each dish out of ten, and the team with the highest score was crowned the winner. So, we can likely expect a similar format this year.
