Former The Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft has been arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI) after police linked her to an alleged hit-and-run involving an ambulance in Texas.
The 43-year-old was booked on November 1 while serving a 20-month probation sentence for a previous DWI conviction in August 2026.
According to TMZ, which first reported the arrest, Melissa faces three charges. These include a second DWI offence, driving with an invalid licence and a collision-related charge.
How did the alleged ambulance hit-and-run unfold?
Southlake police responded to reports of a collision involving an ambulance at approximately 5:50pm on October 31.
According to Southlake Police, the ambulance was stopped at a stop sign when another vehicle struck it and left the scene.
Officers later located the driver, whom they identified as Melissa.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Police arrested the former reality TV star and took her to the Keller Regional Detention Facility for processing.
Jail records show that authorities set her combined bond at $9,000 across the three charges.
Melissa has not been convicted of the latest allegations.
Why was Melissa Rycroft already on probation?
Melissa’s latest arrest comes months after she avoided jail time in a separate DWI case.
On September 23, 2025, police arrested her following a single-vehicle crash in Southlake, Texas.
Her Cadillac Escalade had struck a tree, and witnesses reportedly saw the vehicle driving erratically before the accident. Nobody was injured.
Melissa later pleaded guilty to DWI and received a 20-month probation sentence in August 2026 instead of serving 280 days in jail.
She was also ordered to pay approximately $2,000 in fines, complete 36 hours of community service and attend a DWI education course.
The plea agreement prohibited her from consuming alcohol and required her to use a camera-equipped ignition interlock device when driving.
Following her first arrest, Melissa responded to a supportive fan in the comments of an Instagram post in October 2025.
“Life really sucks right now and I’m struggling, but I’m trying to march forward,” she wrote.
The latest arrest could put her existing probation under scrutiny, although any violation would need to be established through the appropriate legal process.
Melissa first found fame on The Bachelor in 2009 before winning Dancing With the Stars All-Stars in 2012 alongside Tony Dovolani.
