MAFS 2025 Episode 24 Recap: I have a headache

I envy Lauren and Clint right now.

Tonight’s Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 episode was a real shitshow — one that moved quicker than a late-thirties relationship and one that hurt my head more than a raging hangover.

Jamie is out for blood tonight and is seeking one thing, and one thing only: an apology from Carina and Rhi.

But I am Switzerland

Clint and Lauren? Well, they won’t even be attending the dinner party, and for that, I am wildly jealous. I’m going to have to top up my painkillers tomorrow while their supply likely remains untouched.

How’s the serenity?

Carina and Rhi do not run over to Jamie and beg for her forgiveness the minute she walks into the dinner party and for that, they must pay.

I’ve been here for 7 whole seconds and still no apology

In fact, Jamie is so off Carina that she would prefer it if she were a pot plant rather than a hooded woman sitting across from her.

Carina dares to use the term “mean girl” in reference to the argument at the couples retreat, and that sends Jamie right off, waving her finger and all. It’s very dramatic.

Jamie calls Carina idiotic and demands she shut her mouth. Jamie is dismissing any opinion or emotion that’s not hers as the wrong and stupid one. I don’t love it even though I’ve loved her this season.

I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS

Side note: Jamie’s argument style is one I physically/personally struggle to respond to, so my opinion of tonight’s events keeps that in mind.

Carina tries to stand up for herself and is feeling very isolated. Veronica has also chimed in to try to take on Jamie, telling her that she’s being “aggressive” with her communication. Sadly Jamie will not tolerate any open mouths at this point so promptly tells Veronica to shut hers.

Veronica! VERONICA! VERONICAAAAA!

Jamie thinks Veronica is defending the Golf Wife because she has information that could hurt her relationship with Eliot.

She confirms she’s spoken to Lauren but that she didn’t have all bad things to say about Eliot (LIES). He doesn’t love or believe the story.

”Only your feelings are valid,” Veronica tells Jamie. “No one else’s. The rest of us can go fuck themselves.”

Shut yo mouth

I know Jamie has been a well-liked character on this show, but I’m really struggling to understand her right now. Is it shit when your friends don’t have your back? Sure. Does it suck when they don’t apologise for something you feel deserves an apology? Absolutely.

Did Lauren say really mean things? YES. But there’s a lot of emphasis on Jamie’s own feelings and not a lot of consideration for anyone else’s right now, from what I can see, at least. She’s also being rude, which is a trait that started this mess in the first place.

Rhi bows down to the pressure and apologises to Jamie while looking like she could shit her pants at any second.

Let me go to the toilet

Rhi hopes Jamie can put this whole thing “to bed,” but she hopes wrong because Jamie decides her feelings’ bedtime, no one else, even though she has shut down a lot of other feelings tonight.

Carina sees the mini make up happening between Rhi and Jamie and feels like she wasn’t afforded the same grace. She walks out and cries to a producer about not feeling like she’s smart enough and that everyone thinks she’s stupid.

I guess when someone calls your feelings “stupidity” over dinner, over and over again, that might be the result.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
