Love Island Australia sweethearts Connor Deighton and Isabel Vella are officially engaged, less than a year after making one of the biggest romantic gestures in the show’s history.
The loved-up couple announced the exciting news on Instagram, sharing dreamy snaps from a beachside proposal that showed Connor getting down on one knee as Isabel looked completely shocked before saying yes.
“It will always be you [heart emoji] 4/11/26,” Isabel captioned the post.

The announcement was quickly flooded with congratulations from their Love Island Australia co-stars.
Gabrielle McCarthy wrote: “My two favourite people in the entire world!!!!!!!!!!”
She later added: “Most exciting FaceTime call EVER.”
Makayla Docherty also shared her excitement, commenting: “Oh my god!!!! Congrats beautiful people. Genuinely the best news I’ve heard all year.”
Meanwhile, Isabelle Mathers wrote: “OMGG so happy for you!! Congrats guys.”
Fans watched their love story unfold on TV
Connor and Isabel’s engagement comes after the pair captured viewers’ hearts during the 2025 season of Love Island Australia.
In one of the most memorable moments of the season, Isabel was dumped from the villa after being voted the least favourite Islander by superfans.
Instead of staying in the competition, Connor shocked everyone by choosing to leave alongside her, proving their connection was more important than chasing the win.
Speaking to 9Entertainment after their exit, Connor explained why walking away felt like the obvious choice.
“I’d been in there for two weeks. If I sat just around in a Villa for two more weeks and lost a great connection, it would’ve been pointless,” he said.
After leaving the show together, Connor and Isabel wasted no time seeing where their relationship could go in the real world.
The couple travelled through Switzerland and Spain on what they jokingly called their “little Love Island honeymoon” before revealing they had fallen in love. Isabel later relocated from Sydney to the Gold Coast so they could be together, with the pair telling fans they had been “inseparable ever since”.
Now, they’ve taken the next step in their whirlwind romance, and it’s safe to say Love Island Australia has another success story on its hands.
