MAFS’ Jacqui has called out Rhi’s ‘disgusting’ behaviour: ‘Such a bitch to me’

Another day, another drama when it comes to Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025. This time, a lot of drama is happening off-screen and it may come as no surprise that Jacqui Burfoot is front and centre once again.

Certain MAFS participants this season—like Jacqui, Adrian Araouzou, and Morena Farinahave gone rogue on Instagram and TikTok, using different accounts to share their version of the truth.

Jacqui recently posted an Instagram story calling out Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels, specifically labelling Rhi as “not a girls’ girl”. There’s been a bunch of drama between this trio, so let’s get into it.

Jacqui calls out Rhi’s ‘disgusting’ behaviour on MAFS

In Jacqui’s latest Instagram story, she touched on an upcoming storyline between Rhi and Veronica Cloherty, believed to be the couple swap where Rhi shares a bed with Eliot Donovan.

“Rhi is not a ‘girls’ girl’, her conduct was disgusting [and] lacks empathy. It gets worse though and [I] hope she is exposed for what she does to Veronica, and then me again,” Jacqui claimed.

“I didn’t like Rhi after I was attacked at the second dinner party about my sex life — she was always such a bitch to me, impatient, snappy and aggressive in her speech. I had tried to reach out to make peace with her and just get to know each other — she ignored me so I reached out to Jeff to explain what was going on behind closed doors so they would stop attacking me at dinner parties,” she added.

Awhina weighs in on Rhi and Jacqui’s feud

In an interview with Chattr, Awhina Rutene said while there’s “definitely tension” between Jacqui and Rhi, she doesn’t agree with what’s been said.

“Their reality will always be a bit distorted. Rhi is 100 per cent a girls’ girl, you know, she is a beautiful soul,” she told us.

“I think that Jacqui uses quite aggressive language, it might be a bump and she’ll say it’s a hill and I really applaud her for it. You know, she doesn’t follow the group… I don’t agree with a lot of the things she says, and that’s okay. We all have different perspectives.”

Jacqui has since hit back, telling Chattr she’d like to see “the evidence” of this.

“[Also], if she’s a girls’ girl, why did she blindside me at the dinner table about my sex life? Why not give me the heads up [rather than] come and attack me about it?” Jacqui said.

Points have been made! This feud is only going to get messier, I fear.

Jacqui reveals Jeff and Rhi’s MAFS texts

Jacqui conducted an Instagram AMA (Ask Me Anything) recently and let’s just say she didn’t hold back from speaking her side of the story when it came to things like her edit and her relationship with Ryan Donnelly,.

If you need a refresher, Jacqui got Rhi and Jeff offside after Jeff told Rhi that Jacqui had messaged him asking to catch up but didn’t want Rhi present. Yesterday, Jacqui leaked the text messages to Jeff in which she asked to speak to him one-on-one about Ryan, with Jeff replying, “Do you wanna quickly come chat to me and Rhi? Or just me?”

MAFS’ Jacqui accuses Rhi and Jeff of making ‘damaging statements’

Now, Jacqui has hinted that Jeff and Rhi used her for airtime, while also calling them out for “damaging” statements.

“Message to Rhi/Jeff: Please stop making damaging statements in media about a fake “shady” text you received from me that is evidentially false information,” Jacqui said on her Instagram story. “We can all see it was Jeff’s idea to catch up without Rhi. Perhaps you were doing it for airtime, sure, but it’s also crossed the line into territory of a civil crime called defamation. I reserve all my legal rights.”

Jacqui also went on to say she believes Rhi is getting a “good edit” after someone asked if anyone wasn’t as nice in real life as they seem on the show.

MAFS’ Rhi speaks out on chaotic intruder wedding moment with Jacqui

In an interview with Chattr (which was before Jacqui accused Rhi and Jeff of using her for airtime), Rhi said she didn’t think the whole message exchange between Jacqui and Jeff was leading towards any sort of “cheating scandal”.

“Jeff did reply to her and I did say catch up with her and see if she’s OK,” Rhi explained. “I thought it was really weird she’s messaging and as much as I wasn’t impressed with it, I thought maybe she’s going through a rough time.

“But then obviously seeing her at the wedding, I just thought, oh gosh… not that her intentions weren’t pure, I didn’t think there’d be a cheating scandal or anything, but it was her inconsistency it just made me realise it was all pretty left of centre. The girl code thing to do would be to have a chat with me and the fact she didn’t want me there, I just found it really odd for her to say, ‘can it be alone’.”

Who is Australian Survivor 2025’s Logan’s famous husband Jason Johannisen?

Fans got a rare glimpse into the glamorous life that Australian Survivor contestant Logan Johannisen shares with her AFL player husband Jason Johannisen during episode 3.

Little to her fellow players’ knowledge, Logan shares two children with the long-running Western Bulldogs player, and the WAG’s Instagram is sprinkled with photos of the duo regularly attending glamourous events together.

Here’s everything you need to know about Logan and Jason’s relationship.

Logan and Jason Johannisen’s relationship

Logan and Jason started dating in 2017 and announced their pregnancy with daughter Lola in May 2019.

Lola was born in October 2019, and the couple got engaged shortly after in March 2020. At the time, Logan shared a photo of the couple on Instagram with her ring finger blinged up and captioned the photo, “Forever”.

They hit their next relationship milestone in April 2022, when Logan shared that she was pregnant with the couple’s son Ziggy. He was born in March 2023.

Logan and Jason tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Bali in October 2023.

Jason Johannisen’s AFL career

Jason was recruited by the Western Bulldogs in the 2011 Rookie Draft, and played his first AFL game in 2012 and has remained with the team ever since.

In late 2024, Jason signed on for the 2025 season with the Western Bulldogs. However, in January he suffered a hamstring strain which required surgery, and will likely see him sit out the first part of the upcoming season.

The Western Bulldogs player is best known for his impressive perframce during the Western Bulldogs’ Grand Final victory over the Sydney Swans in 2016, which saw him awarded the Norm Smith Medal.

Logan and Jason have attended several Brownlow Medal ceremonies together, but the AFL player is yet to score the prestigious gong.

Talk about a power couple!

MAFS 2025 couple swap chaos revealed: ‘I don’t appreciate my husband lying to me’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 is about to get even spicier, with Chattr uncovering a major upcoming storyline involving a couple swap. Spoilers follow, you’ve been warned!

According to an inside source, everything kicks off when the experts ask the couples to swap as part of the experiment. Rhi Disljenkovic and Eliot Donovan are paired together, plus in an attempt to create some more drama, Jacqueline Burfoot and Jeff Gobbels are paired together.

You’d think that the sensible thing to do here to avoid drama would be to pop one of the contestants on the couch, and one in the bed, right? Well… that’s not what happened.

“Jacqui insisted she would sleep on the couch, but Jeff told the cameras he would take the couch and she could take the bed. Then, once the cameras had left, he claimed he had a bad back and that they’d just share the bed,” a source tells Chattr

“He claimed that Rhi and Elliot were doing the same thing, saying off camera they weren’t sharing a bed but then actually sharing, because nobody wanted to get a bad back.”

Eliot apparently shared a bed with Rhi on MAFS. Image: Nine

However, Eliot’s wife Veronica Cloherty was left in the dark about the sleeping arrangements. It’s unsure how it will play out on TV, but apparently, Eliot lied to Veronica and said he didn’t share a bed with Rhi.

The Dinner Party is said to be explosive, with Veronica and Rhi going “head to head”.

“Veronica says to Rhi, ‘I don’t appreciate my husband lying to me about sharing a bed with another wife’,” the insider spills.

The group of women are quite tight-knit with Rhi, so apparently only Jacqui stands up for Veronica who gets quite upset.

Eliot and Awhina speak out about the ‘bed swapping’ scandal on MAFS

Eliot briefly touched on the MAFS bed swapping scandal in an interview with Chattr, admitting that he could be involved.

“Maybe involves Veronica, maybe involves me. Maybe it involves a lot of people,” he said coyly.

Will Jeff and Rhi’s relationship suffer from this drama? Image: Nine

Awhina Rutene also made a cryptic statement on the scandal, defending her bestie Rhi.

“There’s a lot of challenges presented to us by the experts. And if there is any bed sharing or if there’s any couples doing swaps, just know these are challenges presented to us by the experts,” she says.

“There is no wrongdoing in the majority of people’s cases. And Rhi is someone that would always be very forthcoming with other women if she was going to do something.”

Interesting! We’ll have to wait to see how it all plays out on screen.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS 2025 Episode 16 Recap: Sierah defends herself with protein-intake

Tell you what, I’m not loving this MAFS 2025 cast. Other than Jamie and Dave and the rollercoaster that is Jacqui and Ryan‘s acting skills, there’s a lot of boredom and brattiness radiating out of them this season. But someone who’s really pissing me off? Adrian.

Adrian has returned home to Awhina after leaving the experiment. He immediately makes her feel more shit than she’s already feeling, questioning the volume of her voice after he… LEFT HER BECAUSE OF A PUBLICITY SHOOT AND WENT TO DINNER WITH ANOTHER BRIDE.

Yeah, he and Sierah thought that would be a good idea even though a cheating scandal rumour mill is already in overdrive. Tony was there too.

Before we go to the dinner party, we should address the fact that Jacqui and Ryan are chummy again. Just in case you didn’t have a headache already.

I hate you! I love you!!!! Image: Nine.

The MAFS dinner party was bonkers

Things are not chummy with Sierah and Billy, though, with the two rocking up separately to the dinner party.

Billy walks into the MAFS Dinner party alone.

When Sierah does arrive, she is lectured by Awhina. They spent an entire day together but Sierah didn’t tell Awhina about her dinner with Adrian.

Um, is Sierah a robot? She says she’s sorry, but her facial expression is not aligned. Does she… give a fuck?

Lauren and Eliot are reunited and it’s the shitfight we hoped it would be. She lists all the things he found wrong with her during their three-day marriage, something Eliot denies based of the “five margaritas” Lauren had that one time.

Eliot and Veronica look concerned at the MAFS dinner.
Who da hell have they paired me with? Image: Nine.

Veronica does not appreciate the shaming and tells Eliot that she heard him with her own… eyes? Did I hear that right? See that right? Anyway she tells him off with her eyes. And mouth.

Awhina tries to share how she’s feeling

Awhina shares how upset she is that Adrian blames her for his exclusion from a promo shoot. Right before Adrian chimes in to blame “the females.”

I want a refund for the lost brain cells. Image: Nine.

I don’t know what he’s talking about, which is no different to anything else he’s mumbled on this show.

Luckily, Sierah is here to clarify. She maintains their dinner was innocent! How? Well, they shared meat.

We didn’t even have veggies!!!! Image: Nine.

Adrian is done blaming “the females” now and has taken aim at Billy, who once proposed a wife swap to Adrian.

Oh dear.

Australian Survivor 2025’s Myles Kuah: Finance by day, “funky” by night?

Since Australian Survivor 2025  hit our screens, Myles Kuah has quickly made a name for himself as one of the standout players on Brains vs. Brawn II — and not just for his strategic gameplay.

The youngest member of the Brains tribe, Myles found himself in the hot seat early on when he became a target of Survivor villain Kent Miller-Randle in Episode 2.

Though he avoided elimination, his intense gameplay has left some questioning whether he’s a mastermind in the making or just a little too much. Either way, he’s one to watch.

But beyond his Survivor persona, there’s a lot more to the Sydneysider than just strategy and statistics.

Here’s everything you need to know about Australian Survivor 2025’s Myles.

Myles Kuah, wearing glasses, a red buff, and red shorts, slides down a wet ramp with an intense expression, reaching for a sandbag during a challenge on Australian Survivor 2025.

What does Australian Survivor’s Myles Kuah do for work?

By day, Myles is a numbers guy. According to his LinkedIn, he graduated from UNSW in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science and has since been working to make a career in finance.

His résumé includes a stint as a Junior Analyst at BlueChip Communications — a marketing firm specialising in finance brands.

He then moved up to Senior Analyst at consulting firm SumProduct, which focuses on Excel modelling, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making.

His LinkedIn shows he left SumProduct in December 2024, which likely lines up with the start of his stint on Survivor.

Myles has a “funky” side

Myles might be all about numbers in the office, but outside of work, he’s got a creative streak. On X, he describes himself as a “big-time nerd, pole dancer, style icon”—and he’s not joking.

His second Instagram page shows his more unexpected talents, like pole dancing, singing, and playing guitar. And honestly? It’s pretty impressive.

While he might be part of the Brains tribe, maybe those killer moves will come in handy when it comes to outlasting the competition.

MAFS 2025’s Carina Mirable reveals the Dinner Party alcohol limit

The Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 Dinner Parties are always really rowdy, so you’d expect the contestants to be given a bunch of alcohol to help limber them up, right? Well, apparently that’s not the case at all.

Carina Mirable, who is in a love bubble with Paul Antoine, has just lifted the lid on what really goes down behind the scenes. Apparently, if contestants are getting too tipsy, producers will “cut you off”. Ouch.

It also pays to be the first to arrive at the cocktail party, because there’s a limited amount of alcohol and some people miss out.

“The first ones that go into the cocktail party probably consume a little more [alcohol] than the last ones, because there’s a certain amount of alcohol there, and then the last ones get nothing,” she spilled.

At the actual Dinner Parties, Carina reckons they’re given “one carafe between three couples with red and white wine, and that’s it”.

Jacqui says the contestant’s social status is linked to the wine they drink

During an AMA (ask me anything) on her jewellery account, Jaqui Burfoot shed some more light on the alcohol situation at the MAFS Dinner Party.

“They’d always bring out two jugs of red and two of white, and everyone on our series loved red wine,” she explained.

“There was this mad race when everyone sat down at the dinner table to fight over the fucking red wine,” she continued.

The MAFS bride said that there was a “whole dynamic going on” between the cast members about who gets the red.

“If you missed out on red wine, it was like really shitty. It felt like bullying sometimes.”

Former MAFS crew member spills alcohol secrets

A former crew member told Chattr producers “don’t encourage” contestants to drink, however, it is “a part of the evening”.

“They’re fueled with drink. Although monitored, producers can’t control what people eat. And if the [brides] want to look slim for the night and decide they don’t want to eat and then drink three glasses of wine, there’s only so much control you can have on people,” the insider spilled.

“There’s a duty of care where you can’t show people too drunk on Aussie TV. Which is why you’ll never see anyone rolling around absolutely plastered on any show.”

The source also told us that while Dinner Parties are produced, what you see on TV is drama that naturally unfolds.

“Dinner Parties are long and finish in the early hours. It’s a long set up getting everyone ready, pre-interviews, arriving onto set and getting them in before the actual dinner party starts,” they said. “But usually the cast are ready to say their piece at any given moment.”

Guess that’s why they cast such outlandish personalities, so that nobody is afraid to speak up at any point. Reality TV gold!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS fan spots hidden detail in scene with Billy

Billy Belcher’s marriage to Sierah Swepstone isn’t quite going to plan currently on Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025.

Although the couple appeared to start strong initially, over the past few weeks their marriage has dissolved into more of a friendship, with Billy also being blindsided by Sierah opening up to another groom, Adrian Araouzou, instead of him.

Now, an eagle-eyed MAFS fan has spotted that in amongst Billy’s numerous tattoos he has quite a cryptic MAFS-related one hinting towards some more drama.

Is Billy’s MAFS tattoo hinting towards more chaos?

On TikTok, Hannah Bowman pointed out Billy had a very interesting tattoo on his leg, with the tat reading “MAFS 12 PLOT TWIST” all in capital letters.

“What’s the plot twist he’s talking about?” Hannah questioned. “Has it happened already, or is it still to come?”

@itshannahbowman BILLY BOY! I need to know what this plot twist is?!!! #realitytv #mafs #marriedatfirstsight #mafsau #mafsbilly #billymafs ♬ original sound – Hannah Bowman

Fans were quick to comment their theories, with some thinking it’d be a wife-swap situation, and others saying it was a hint at the cast “turning on” production.

“They give them the option to swap partners,” one person theorised, with someone else remarking, “Hopefully he wife swaps and takes Awhina [Rutene] so Sierah and Adrian can have each other.”

Has MAFS’ Billy been trying to tell us something all along? Image: Nine/TikTok

“Maybe it’s just like a plot twist in his life that he went on MAFS,” someone else said, with agreeing, “I think it’s just the saying ‘doing it for the plot’?”

Others thought it was to do with production having less of a handle on this year’s MAFS participants, after quite a few have gone rogue on alternative social media accounts.

“[It’s] all of them going against production and changing MAFS history,” one person said, while another commented, “Apparently, the cast have turned on the production team.”

“Plot twist is that he and Dave will end up happily ever after,” another joked.

Look, we’d cheers to that.

Was MAFS’ Jacqui really Miss New Zealand? An investigation

Jacqui Burfoot made quite the impression upon her  Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025  debut during Sunday night’s episode, with the high achiever marrying ‘warrior’ Ryan Donnelly in a wedding that was nothing short of shambolic.

Upon introducing herself, MAFS fans learned Jacqui is a busy lady and is after a masculine man that can let her indulge in her feminine side. The 29-year-old has quite the list of accomplishments: she’s a double degree holder (law and finance), a model, a certified yoga teacher, and won the title of Miss New Zealand in 2012.

Or did she?

Was MAFS’ Jacqui Burfoot really Miss New Zealand?

Not much gets past the shrew eye of a MAFS fan, so of course when we were introduced to Jacqui people were Googling the new bride’s name and learning all about her. But in many Facebook groups, people started to question whether Jacqui was indeed Miss New Zealand, with search results coming up short.

In fact, if you type in Miss New Zealand 2012, a whole different person comes up and Jacqui’s name is nowhere to be seen.

Miss New Zealand 2012
Will the real Miss New Zealand please stand up? Image: Google

What did Jacqui Burfoot win?

As it turns out Jacqui did bear a Miss New Zealand sash, but for a competition called Miss Yacht International, which she appeared to compete in in 2013. While she represented New Zealand, Jacqui didn’t place in the competition, with Miss Kyrgyzstan placing first, Miss China placing second, and Miss Macedonia placing third.

Jacqui’s early Instagram activity shows her enjoying her time in Sanya, China, where the competition took place, where she’s seen posing alongside Miss Mexico, Miss Finland, Miss Belgium, Miss Netherlands, and Miss Tatarstan.

Look, it’s not quite the Miss Universe-style pageant we were expecting, but if there’s anything we know and love about MAFS, it’s that we don’t want facts to get in the way of a good story.

Jacqui addresses her Miss New Zealand title

In a recent Instagram Q&A, Jacqui addressed her Miss New Zealand title, poking fun at the whole debacle after someone asked her if she could provide “proof”.

“Not my proudest moment, but apparently it makes great TV,” Jacqui commented.

She then elaborated further in another answer, confirming Chattr’s investigation that she participated in Miss Yacht International.

“I was not crowned Miss New Zealand and I never said I was!” she said. “I answered questions when I got asked them. And editors can edit it any way they need to to tell the story they want to.

“I’m just getting a super ‘vain’ and ‘confident’ edit, so editors are popping in a lot of stuff like that to beef up my vanity,” Jacqui continued. “I’m actually a self-proclaimed loser.”

MAFS 2025 Episode 15 Recap: Can Veronica and Clint save Lauren and Eliot?

Oh joy — Lauren and Eliot are back on Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 alongside their new partners — an actress and a pro golfer. Do producers really think these relationships resemble real life? I’ve never dated either of those professions! And I lived in Sydney for a decade!

Enough about me. Let’s recap and meet these MAFS intruders! Someone had to replace the MAFS cast who left the experiment, right?

Lauren’s new boyfie, Clint

Clint’s rich, but Tasmania rich.

Clint Rice in his Launceston home.
Hello, I live here. Image: Nine.

I imagine he wouldn’t be able to get the same thing for the same price in Point Piper. Weird place for a tennis court.

More importantly, Clint is 43, the exact age range Eliot wanted for Lauren. Let’s be honest, Eliot with one l and one t just wanted anyone for Lauren that wasn’t him.

As you can imagine, that bloke has messed with Lauren’s trust, and she is pretty off it the entire time she’s getting married to Clint.

Screw this. Image: Nine.

Clint supports Lauren, though, and assures her he will have her back. It’s a shame we know how this all ends (spoiler here) because I actually would’ve been kind of into this union. If they didn’t have that related feeling about them, that is.

I promise to not touch your fiddle leaf. Image: Nine.

Eliot is punished with a 10/10

Veronica is in her thirties!!! The horror.

Eliot is really confident he will give this MAFS thing a proper crack this time around. It helps that Veronica is basically a supermodel, though.

She’ll do!!! Image: Nine.

Back at the MAFS apartments, Adrian has had a tanty because he wasn’t included in a promo shoot for MAFS 2025. I’M SORRY, WHY IS THIS SO HYSTERICALLY FUNNY?

This is the equivalent of getting less than 50K followers after sacrificing your dignity on this shit. Anyway he left Awhina over it. I really hope he was just looking for an out, because any other reason is so terribly tragic and embarrassing.

Awhina and Adrian on the phone during MAFS Episode 15

Speaking of tragic and embarrassing, Jacqui also reckons she’s leaving the experiment. It’s a shame she’s all over Instagram ruining her storyline because she talked about Home Towns in her Stories, meaning she probably doesn’t bounce at all. Man she’s pissed me off this season of MAFS, and it hasn’t had anything to do with what’s on TV.

A version of this MAFS 2025 recap initially appeared on the Talking Schmidt Substack and has been reproduced here with permission.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Australian Survivor 2025’s Kent Miller-Randle’s boujee job and Survivor US connection

Australian Survivor 2025‘s Kent Miller-Randle has quickly emerged as one of the most controversial players on Brain v Brawn II thanks to his sassy confessionals and no-holds-barred game play.

But, it’s his constant bragging about how wealthy he is that has fans wondering exactly how Kent earned his riches.

We’ve done some digging and found out what Kent’s fancy job is, as well as some other intriguing Survivor related intel on the multi-millionaire.

Here’s everything you need to know about Australian Survivor 2025’s Kent.

Australian Survivor's Kent Miller Randle
Kent Miller-Randle on Australian Survivor. Image: Ten.

What is Australian Survivor Kent’s job?

Kent’s career is admittedly pretty impressive; he’s currently the Sales Director at Efm Logistics, according to his LinkedIn page.

Efm Logistics merged with Quiksilver Logistics back in 2016. Prior to his current role, Kent worked as the managing director of Quiksilver Logistics from 2005 until the companies merged.

In August 2024, Kent was awarded the New Business Top Performer award at the Efm Gala Awards Night.

A now-deleted post from the Australian Survivor Instagram page showed Kent talking about starting a billion-dollar business, which he merged with Efm.

“You don’t start a business from nothing and get to a $1.5 billion dollar business,” he said in the clip.

In his Survivor bio, Kent said that his father “died very wealthy” but told Chattr that he earned his fortune through his own hard work.

“Just to clarify when my dad died, he was wealthy. However, he left all his money to his third wife. Me and all my brothers got nothing,” he said.

“My comment about him being wealthy was me saying that I shouldn’t work all my life just for money. Enjoy life. Work to live rather than live to work.”

Kent’s connection to Survivor US

During Episode 2 of Australian Survivor, Kent admitted that he’d auditioned for the show ten times, and when he was finally cast, it was a dream come true.

A recent Instagram story even saw the business mogul hobnobbing with Survivor US host Jeff Probst and creator Mark Burnett.

“I’ve been in love with the show for 25 years. I even met Mark Burnett and Jeff Probst last year. I thanked Mark for the show and how much it meant to me and my eyes welled up,” he said of the encounter in his Survivor bio.

Kent added that his favourite player is David Genat, who will compete in the Survivor: Australia v The World season, which airs later this year.

“I think the player I take most inspiration from would be David, the Golden God. Just the way he played, the way he was possessed by Idols. He was great to watch.”

MAFS 2026 applications are now open if you’re looking for love (or followers)

Has your love life been more of a disaster than a daydream? Well, here’s your chance to turn things around. Married at First Sight (MAFS) is officially casting for its 2026 season!

If you’ve been waiting for the universe (or a team of reality TV experts) to find your perfect match, this could be it.

The Aussie iteration of the world’s most addictive social experiment is gearing up for its 13th season, and Channel Nine is searching for a fresh batch of hopeful romantics.

Who knows? You could find yourself in a love story straight out of the Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant playbook. Or you might become the season’s most talked-about chaos agent, like Bryce Ruthven. But, hey, either way you’ll be on TV!

Sound like you’d be keen on? Here’s how to apply for MAFS 2026.

How do I apply for MAFS 2026?

If you’ve always dreamed of saying “I do” to a total stranger on national television, then here’s your chance. Applications for MAFS Season 13 are now open, so why not throw your hat in the ring here?

What does the MAFS 2026 application process look like?

If you’re serious about finding “The One” (or just scoring your 15 minutes fame), be prepared for a pretty detailed application process.

You’ll need to fill out an extensive form. Then, if you catch the MAFS casting team’s eye, you’ll be invited for a series of in-depth interviews.

But if you make it through? You could be one step closer to true love. Or, at the very least, you’ll walk away with an excellent dinner party story.

What else should you know?

Before you start planning your reality TV wedding, there are a few things to consider.

You’ll need to dedicate up to four months of your life to the experiment, from late July to November 2025.

And the biggest catch of all, of course, is that you won’t get to meet your future husband or wife until the day of your wedding.

If all that sounds like the kind of thrill you’re keen on, then what are you waiting for?

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

What did we think? The Internet reacts to Ricki-Lee’s Australian Idol 2025 judge takeover

It was a “yeah the girls!” night on Australian Idol 2025, as Idol alum Ricki-Lee Coulter stepped in as a guest judge on Tuesday, February 18.

Filling in for regular panellist Kyle Sandilands, Ricki-Lee joined legendary performer Marcia Hines and singer-songwriter Amy Shark to guide the Australian Idol contestants battling for their shot at becoming Australia’s next singing sensation.

According to TV Tonight, Sandilands was unwell at the time of taping but is expected to return next week. In the meantime, Ricki-Lee was able to bring her industry know-how and firsthand experience as a former Idol contestant to the judging panel.

For those who need a refresher, Ricki-Lee first rose to fame on Australian Idol in 2004, competing in the show’s second season, where she placed seventh. While she didn’t take home the title, she went on to build a successful career in music and television, proving that Idol is just the beginning.

Given her own journey through the competition, we reckon she was more than qualified to offer her wisdom to the aspiring stars.

Outside of this guest appearance, Ricki-Lee is usually seen on the Australian Idol stage in a different role, co-hosting alongside Aussie TV and radio presenter Scott Tweedie. The duo have fronted the series since its 2023 reboot.

Could this stint as a guest judge be a glimpse into Ricki-Lee’s future? We’ll let you decide!

Here’s how the peeps on the Internet reacted to her judging debut.

Gogglebox Australia’s Kate and Matt Dalton on staying positive on bad filming days: “It is hard”

Kate and Matt Dalton have had the nation in stitches for the last eight years of Gogglebox Australia, and they’re about to do it again for Season 20.

However, having the reputation of being one of the funniest families on Australian TV comes with the pressure to turn on the cheer, even on an off day.

During an interview with Chattr, Kate reflected on a particular instance when she ended up in the hospital after filming an episode when she wasn’t feeling well.

“It is hard sometimes,” Kate reflected to Chattr. “I went through a stage of vertigo once when we were filming, and I’d had the vertigo in the morning, and I knew I was unwell.”

“We started watching Dr Pimple Popper, and I ended up having vertigo after that, and later, after the crew left, I ended up in the hospital.”

Kate added that she, Matt, and their daughters Holly and Millie Dalton all live everyday lives outside of filming Gogglebox Australia, and said that it’s sometimes hard to separate the show from reality.

“If it’s really hot or intense or something, and you’re not feeling well, it can be exacerbated when you’re on the couch,” she explained.

“Any feeling that you have before you come to the couch can be magnified. If you’re feeling upset, that can be magnified, or if you’re feeling exuberantly happy, that will come out as well through your filming.”

Kate and Matt Dalton would love a Gogglebox Australia Uncut spinoff

Gogglebox Australia Season 20 is dropping on February 20, and while Kate and Matt told Chattr they’re looking forward to seeing what parts of their TV commentary made the cut, they’ve got his own idea for a spin-off.

“I think there’s room for maybe a Gogglebox Bloopers or a Gogglebox Uncut,” Kate suggested.

Matt added that Gogglebox Bloopers “would be the greatest TV show”.

“95% of what we say doesn’t make it on the TV,” he explained, adding that the cast watches full episodes of shows, and only parts of their commentary make it to the final edited version.

“The guys that edit it are very smart, and they grab a line and go with it, but there’s so much stuff that doesn’t get on.

“Half the time, I can’t remember what we watched the night before because you join the show, and they’re not all memorable. You just say what you think at the time. It’s about being in the present.”

Whether it’s Gogglebox Bloopers or Gogglebox Uncut, we’ll take it — the more Gogglebox Australia, the better, we say.

Gogglebox Australia season 20 premieres on February 20 at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

MAFS’ Adrian is now in a beef with *checks notes* Abbie Chatfield

Sit down, grab some Panadol, and wrap yourself in your favourite comfort blanket because Adrian Araouzou from Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 is once again embroiled in some drama, and he’s taking it off-screen this time.

If you had “MAFS‘ Adrian gets into a TikTok war with Abbie Chatfield” on your 2025 Bingo card, then congrats: that’s exactly what’s happening right now after Abbie interviewed Geneva Drake, a woman who was dating Adrian and photographed looking cosy with him at the end of January.

MAFS’ Adrian V Abbie: WTF is going on?

After Abbie’s interview with Geneva, where Geneva revealed that Adrian had started his own MAFS fan page for himself (more on that below), Adrian hit back on his joint TikTok with his twin brother James, labelling Geneva as a “weekender”.

When Abbie commented on Adrian’s video in defence of Geneva, saying, “She was not a one night thing. We have texts over months. He’s now trying to silence her further,” Adrian responded saying, “Chatting to someone online is not an ex. I met her once. Hung out on a weekend. Never seen her again. Fact check things, babe xx”.

Adrian's ex-girlfriend Geneva appeared on Abbie Chatfield's podcast.

He then went on to leave another comment, saying, “And if ‘talking’ online to girl for a few weeks is an ex., then damn, there’s plenty more where that came from. The ignorance is real. P.s we love you Abbie say hi to your gf for us.”

In his own TikTok, Adrian also accused Abbie of using him for “clicks” for her successful podcast It’s A Lot.

“Abbie, I thought I was my biggest fan but clearly it’s you,” Adrian says. “The only embarrassing thing about that whole podcast was calling that weekender my ex. And to top it all off, I even gave you a repost so you can get some more likes and comments, you are welcome.”

At the time of publishing, Adrian’s TikTok had nearly 14k views, while Abbie’s first TikTok with Geneva was sitting at over 300k views.

What did Adrian’s ex say about their relationship?

Geneva said Adrian has fooled numerous women, including his ex and his current MAFS wife Awhina Rutene, while also accusing him of “trying to silence” her.

“I am a little bit worried about how he may retaliate about me speaking out,” Geneva said. “I refuse to be silenced like he’s tried to do.”

Adrian then allegedly told Geneva to put her social media accounts on private, which Geneva called her “last straw”.

Geneva also highlighted the moment she realised Adrian had made his own MAFS fan page, saying she had sent him a TikTok and on her notifications it came up as “@adrianmafsfanpage has viewed the TikTok”.

When Geneva asked him about it, she expected him to deny it but he doubled down saying “[It] gets me more views” before saying Adrian was using it to comment on his own TikToks that he and James are creating.

MAFS’ Jacqui continues to go rogue, leaks her texts to Jeff

This year’s season of Married At First Sight (MAFS) is one of those ones where just as much drama happens off-screen as it does on-screen, and one of the people front and centre of it all is Jacqui Burfoot.

In last night’s episode, Jacqui had an epic meltdown at the intruder wedding after getting into another argument with her husband Ryan Donnelly. She also found herself in conflict with Rhi Disljenkovic after she messaged Rhi’s husband Jeff Gobbels, behind her back, wanting to catch up with him alone without Rhi present.

Now Jacqui has taken to her business Instagram page to leak the texts she and Jeff exchanged.

Rhi speaks out on Jacqui texting Jeff behind her back: “Really odd”

While Ryan seemed suspicious of Jacqui’s motives for messaging Jeff, Rhi previously told Chattr she never assumed Jacqui was making a romantic play for Jeff – she was just confused as to why Jacqui wanted to meet up with him alone.

“I didn’t think there’d be a cheating scandal or anything, but it was her inconsistency. It just made me realise it was all pretty left of centre. The girl code thing to do would be to chat with me, and because she didn’t want me there, I just found it really odd,” Rhi said.

MAFS’ Jacqui leaks texts with Jeff Gobbels: “More a man-man thing”

Jacqui has uploaded her message exchange with Jeff to Instagram, with the two initially talking about a Stax event the cast were invited to.

Jacqui then texted Jeff saying she was struggling and in need of “off-camera” help, with Jeff replying, “Do you wanna quickly come chat to me and Rhi? Or just me?”

Jacqui replied, “I’m happy to chat to both of you, but it would be safer to keep it as just you,” citing her issues with Ryan as more of a “man-man” thing. She then asked if they can do a “friendly 1:1”, saying she didn’t want to influence Rhi’s opinion of Ryan and she’d rather keep it “off-camera”.

Jeff suggested that they get the house AP (associate producer) Kate involved, saying she could “sit there and listen” and that he’d be the one to talk to Jacqui. Jacqui then declined, saying she’d “go external”. Jeff replied, “Come to my room quickly, I’ll do it,” noting that Rhi would go to the “house AP room”. Jacqui stated on the Instagram story that Rhi stayed for the chat, and all three of them got “caught” by the house AP.

Speaking with Chattr, Rhi said the whole cast was confused by the relationship dynamic between Jacqui and Ryan.

“They are quite flip-floppy,” she said. “You’re forever confused trying to understand what’s going on; one minute they’re complaining about each other, then the next they’re hugging. Their relationship confused us all, all the time.”

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Below Deck Down Under alcohol limits enforced: Captain Jason reveals the new policy for Season 3

The Below Deck Down Under blacked-out boozy crew nights may be a thing of the past, with Captain Jason Chambers confirming to Chattr that he made a new alcohol policy for Season 3.

Past seasons of Below Deck have seen cast nights where Boson Joao Franco has shattered a wine glass in one hand, Chef Rachel Hargrove jumped on stage with a live band and Deckie Ashton Pienaar punched a window after a fight with Chief Stew Kate Chastain.

Perhaps the most uncomfortable alcohol-induced encounter took place on Below Deck Down Under Season 2 when Luke Jones, who had been drinking, entered crewmate Margot Sisson’s room naked while she was asleep. He was immediately fired for sexual misconduct after Captain Jason found out what happened.

Following on from the disturbing incident, Captain Jason has implemented new rules to ensure that the Below Deck Down Under Season 3 cast limits their drinking this season.

What are the alcohol rules on Below Deck Down Under Season 3?

Captain Jason told Chattr that a drink limit was enforced for Season 3, as well as additional measures to reduce the crew’s inebriation, which ended up increasing the number of scenes production could use in the final edit.

“This season, they’re only having one drink before they go out, and then when they’re out, they have to pay for their own drinks, and they have to have a water between drinks.”

“We saw a huge difference, a lot more content, people were a lot more aware of their surroundings and a lot more respectful,” he added.

Captain Jason Chalmers aboard the Below Deck super yacht.

While alcohol-fueled crew nights out often spark drama between the crew —an essential ingredient for almost any spicy reality TV episode, Captain Jason reassured Chattr that the scandals are still there, despite the tightened alcohol rules.

“Look, they’re adults,” he said. “They’ve always been able to buy their own drinks. We’re not there to tell them.

“But, the policy I actually asked them to do was to have water between each drink. And they did that, and you’ll see that the behaviour was a lot different, but the drama was still there.”

Jason really is the people’s captain.

“Forever confused”: MAFS’ Rhi has addressed her fight with Jacqui

There’s no denying that Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 delivered us another absolutely shambolic episode last night. Jacqui Burfoot used the intruder wedding to have a red-hot crack at husband Ryan Donnelly before she was confronted by fellow bride Rhi Disljenkovic about messaging Rhi’s husband Jeff Gobbels behind her back.

Speaking with Chattr, Rhi clarified the chaotic scenes, confirming that Jacqui had apologised to her. However, we’ll have to wait and see how it unfolds.

“There is an apology which is good, but you have to keep watching in regards to what happens,” Rhi teased. “I can’t give away too much.”

MAFS’ Rhi speaks out on chaotic intruder wedding moment with Jacqui

While the MAFS participants were invited to celebrate the wedding of Teejay Halkias and Bethy Kelly, things really kicked off at the reception, with Jacqui and Ryan once again taking centre stage with their tumultuous relationship.

The basic rundown is before the wedding Jacqui was busy working on a rap sheet of all of Ryan’s wrongdoings. Then, at the wedding, Jacqui was triggered by how lovely Teejay’s vows were and wanted Ryan to take note, before getting upset at the dinner that Ryan dropped her on their wedding day.

Prior to this, we learned that Jacqui had messaged Jeff on the sly, wanting to catch up without Rhi, and he and Rhi had a discussion about it before the wedding. After Jacqui started to derail at the wedding, Rhi eventually confronted her about messaging Jeff behind her back, with Rhi telling Chattr the whole situation ultimately left her feeling confused.

Rhi learns that Jacqui messaged Jeff behind her back. Imagine: Nine

On confronting Jacqui, Rhi said it was something quite out of her comfort zone. “I think you could see my chest get redder and I started to develop a rash,” she laughed. “That was fun. But when you do see repeated behaviour from someone – at the start, you’re getting to know people and see what they’re like and you don’t want to say anything too soon – but once you’ve seen repeated behaviour, you think, stuff it, I’m just going to say how I feel.”

Rhi on Jacqui and Ryan’s confusing relationship dynamic

It’s not news by now that Jacqui and Ryan’s relationship has left MAFS fans wildly confused, and Rhi said the vibe was similar when they were filming the show.

MAFS' Ryan and Jacqui in a heated discussion at the intruder wedding

“They are quite flip-floppy,” she said. “You’re forever confused trying to understand what’s going on; one minute they’re complaining about each other, then the next they’re hugging. Their relationship confused us all, all the time. Jamie also mentioned it, like ‘only Jacqui and Ryan understand each other because no one else does,’ and I second that.”

Rhi spills on whether there’s a cast divide this season

After a bunch of the girls caught up for a Valentine’s Day lunch last weekend, there were a few notable absences, with Sierah Swepstone, Morena Farina, and Jacqui nowhere to be seen.

“There is a cast divide, for sure,” Rhi said. “But also, some people are just closer than others. It started off for my birthday, and Jamie already lives here [Melbourne], but the others flew down for my birthday, and it was Jamie’s birthday the week before, so she was like, ‘Let’s do a birthday for you and me!’ But look, it’s not a huge cast divide, but the girls that were there [at the lunch] are just a bit closer.”

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
