MAFS 2025 Episode 34 Recap: Carina kicks Paul and his curiosity to the curb

The Grass Is Greener challenge we’ve all been waiting for is here. Yep, the Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 brides and grooms are given the opportunity to meet an “additional” match from the audition process. How fun (for us)!

Jacqui has accepted that she was trying to make a door out of a chair when it came to Ryan. And now she just needs to cuddle the chair. Yeah, it made just as much sense hearing it as it did writing it.

She goes to Ryan’s apartment and cries to him, telling him that she’s loved him since the day she met him.

Jacqui and Ryan discuss their future after the final MAFS commitment ceremony.
OH HAVE YOU NOW? Image: Nine.

Why is this not congruent with everything she’s posted on social media since the first week of this show?

He says he’s too old to deal with this, basically, and that it’s just a little too late (and somehow doesn’t break out in song).

I love JoJo, not you. Image: Nine.

Lesson learned: Googling how to show someone you accept them doesn’t always work.

The Grass is Greener challenge

I can’t help but think this challenge was the Love Triangle team’s idea to promote Season 3 in the leadup (on the show, they basically have two matches and see which they like better).

Rhi can’t imagine anyone better than Jeff, so she says she’ll be watching Stan all day instead, the very platform that Love Triangle is on. Fancy that! Jeff feels the same but does not mention Stan.

Let’s Stan and chill. Image: Nine.

Beth and Teejay are obviously doing it because no one’s convincing me they like each other.

Beth’s match is an Irish PT who complains that the Aussie banter in the dating game isn’t up to scratch for him. He realised the chances of his match being Aussie were pretty damn high, right?

Anyway, Beth thinks he is into her in a way Teejay just isn’t. Teejay’s match is Tara, a redhead from Lake Macquarie who likes star signs and…. ethnicity?

This feels weird heheh. Image: Nine.

When the pair reunite, Beth says Teejay’s banter is better than the PT’s. Sadly, Teejay’s feeling pretty neutral about Beth after his date with Tara.

Carina thinks it’s cheating to take up this opportunity — surprise, surprise — and that Paul wouldn’t be “idiotic” enough to meet the other match. Oh, honey.

Paul meets Hannah, a blonde woman who is treating this date like an interview.

While Paul is getting to know her, Carina is at home folding his underwear. I don’t even do that for my partner when he’s being a good boy.

When Paul’s match asks if he would move to Sydney, he says he would for “someone” which insinuates that he’s still single IMO.

“If you’re so happy, why are you here?” she asks. Paul then says, “Curious,” 25 times.

Carina finds out about Paul’s curiosity

When he returns home to Carina, he drops the bomb that he went on a date while mid-hug with his wife. She slowly pulls back as Paul tells her that physically, his date was “what the hell” and like “a Barbie”.

“Yuck,” he says of the experience.

Carina finds out about Paul's MAFS date with Hannah.
IDIOT. Image: Nine.

EXCUSE ME PAUL. Was it not only mere weeks ago you were labelling your wife as a judgemental snob?

“I’m actually embarrassed,” Carina tells him. Watching the producer scramble in the hallway as Carina walks out is iconic television.

Paul keeps going on about how the date just made him realise how happy he is with Carina and wow, he’s really not getting it, is he?

Carina tells him that this is the last straw and that she’s done.

Paul and Carina argue during the last task on MAFS.
But baby I was curious!!! Image: Nine.

“You’re not here for the right reasons, fuck that.”

“Get your shit and leave. I’m done.”

Spicy! I actually hope this is legit. Sue me!

Meet MAFS’ Tara-lee Preston set to shake things up during shock challenge

The outrageous Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 ‘grass is greener’ challenge is set to air tonight, and multiple contestants will meet their backup matches

With both Beth Kelly and Teejay Halkias reeling from the Commitment Ceremony where Teejay tried to leave, it makes sense that the couple decided to see what could have been.

A production insider told Daily Mail that Teejay hits it off with Tara-lee Preston, a Sydney sales consultant. He was apparently “loving the chemistry” and “they just vibed instantly”.

“He had more spark with Tara in one day than he had with his actual bride in weeks,” they added.

Tara-Lee is still following Teejay on Instagram, so our spidey senses are tingling. Could they be friendly now that the show has finished filming?

Who is Tara-lee Preston?

Tara-lee is a sales consultant for a building company in Sydney, New South Wales.

She also looks to be a bit of an entrepreneur, as she launched her own blazer clothing line called Preston The Blazer in November 2024.

“Two years in the making,” she wrote on Instagram.

Her company was born out of the need to feel “strong, confident, seen, heard and important” in a male-dominated corporate environment.

“An Australian label with an international vision created to give you a one-stop shop for fashion’s most versatile power piece,” the website says.

Is Tara-lee Preston an influencer?

Tara-lee has just over 2,000 followers on Instagram, but this could jump once she makes her MAFS appearance. While she doesn’t have a large following, she appears to be friends with other influencers.

Bec Gorton, who has 142,000 followers, and Rhiannon O’Loughlin, with 87,000 followers, have commented on her Instagram posts. She is also followed by influencers Bella Davis and Ilana Collins

Will Tara-lee Preston be on MAFS 2026?

It’s unclear if any of these backup matches from the Grass is Greener challenge will be on MAFS 2026, but it would make sense for producers to see if any potential brides or grooms seem popular.

MAFS 2026 casting is still taking place, so it’s possible Tara-lee could be back on our screens next year!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS’ Jacqui reveals spoilers about her ‘Grass is Greener’ date Rory

Controversial Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 bride Jacqui Burfoot has gone rogue again and spilled some major spoilers about the ‘grass is greener’ challenge coming up.

The bride opts to meet an alternative match on MAFS who the experts deem compatible, and she’s shared secrets about their meet-up. She’s not the only one who goes on the date, and we have all the spicy details here.

If you don’t want the episode to be spoiled, look away now!

Jacqui is paired with a man called Rory and the pair get along really well.

“Rory was the man that the experts thought would be a backup match for me. So during the — close to the end of the experiment we get the opportunity to go on a surprise new MAFS  challenge whereby you can go on a date with someone who the experts thought was an alternative match to you, leading up to Final Vows,” Jacqui said on TikTok.

The bride revealed that Rory has a similar personality to herself, saying he’s the “male version” of her. If this is true, it’s going to be television gold!

“He’s really chill, really down to earth, really easygoing, go with the flow kind of guy. He’s so easy to get along with, I literally have the best day in this experiment so far — the first day I didn’t have to spend it with Ryan,” she added.

Do Jacqui and Rory start a relationship?

It doesn’t sound like romance blossomed between the two, especially seeing as Jacqui is now loved-up with Clint Rice

“I treated it like I was just making a friend, I was meeting someone who was potentially gonna come on the experiment with us cast members, and he was from another state and he was just really nice. I was like, this is just a really nice guy, and that was it,” Jacqui said.

Ryan Donnelly apparently also opts to meet his match during the challenge, but an insider told Chattr he accuses Jacqui of cheating by taking up the challenge. Doesn’t really make sense, but nothing about that couple makes sense!

The challenge will be shown on TV over the next two nights, and it’s going to be fiery.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS’ Jamie and Dave have reportedly fallen out as the show comes to an end

They were once the golden couple of Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025, but Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand are not on great terms as the show starts to wrap up on our screens.

After starting the experiment strong, before going through a rocky patch that seemed to be resolved during homestays, MAFS fans have had high hopes that Jamie and Dave may be one of the couples that make it post-experiment.

However, several sources have now told Yahoo Lifestyle that the couple are now “at war” and the chance of a reconciliation seems impossible.

MAFS’ Dave ‘disappointed’ at Jamie after backlash

MAFS fans started to turn on Dave after he became cold and distant towards Jamie after the partner-swap challenge, with the groom receiving backlash after fans speculated he had feelings for Veronica Cloherty.

A source told Yahoo Lifestyle that Dave felt disappointed at how Jamie handled the situation when talking to media. “Dave has felt disappointed at how Jamie failed to defend him in all the press interviews she’s been getting lately. He thinks she has been making the backlash he’s had even worse and just stirring fans against him.”

In an interview with Chattr after the partner-swap week aired, Jamie said she felt ‘uncomfortable’ around Dave.

“I felt very uncomfortable for the first time in Dave’s presence. I’ve never felt that, Dave was my safe space [previously]. I felt like I was looking at someone who I didn’t know. And I think that’s what was concerning,” she stated.

MAFS’ Jamie ’embarrassed’ by Dave’s behaviour

On the other hand, a second source told Yahoo Lifestyle that Jamie thinks Dave wasn’t on MAFS for the “right reasons”.

“Jamie has been embarrassed by how Dave has been hanging out with all the has-been reality stars in Melbourne, posing for the paps and selling video messages,” they said. “It just makes her think more than ever that he wasn’t on MAFS for the right reasons, and she wants to distance herself completely.”

A third source then spoke to the publication, saying, “Dave and Jamie said they’d always have each other’s backs but lately it feels like they don’t want anything to do with each other and a resentment has set in.”

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Survivor cast members explain why Paulie is always excluded from the tribe

Australian Survivor fans have fallen for Paulie Michael thanks to his sassy quotes and warm personality, but the cast doesn’t seem to be on the same page.

Throughout the current season, Paulie’s faced blow after blow with his fellow castaways devising plans to get him eliminated, and has even been dubbed the “snake oil salesman”.

Perhaps the most heart-breaking development was during the Tribal Council that aired on March 17 when host Jonathan LaPaglia pointed out that everyone was paired off and Paulie was the only person without a “buddy”.

“Everyone’s got a little dynamic duo, and I’m the lone wolf over here,” Paulie said in a confessional.

On the flip side, fans can’t get enough of Paulie. His Instagram account is littered with supportive comments, and he even has an entire Reddit thread with people sympathysing with him about how he’s been treated.

To shed some light on why Paulie’s been excluded throughout this season of Australian Survivor, we went straight to the cast and asked them ourselves.

Logan and Laura reveal why castaways distanced themselves from Paulie

During an interview with Chattr, eliminated contestant Laura Darras explained that, for her, it was Paulie’s charismatic personality that made her wary about working with him.

“Paulie is charming, and he’s funny, and he’s witty, but as soon as you put personality like that on in a game where people are assuming that you’re sneaky, it can get a little bit misconstrued,” she said.

“I really love Paulie, and he wears his heart on his sleeve, but in a game like Survivor, you don’t know if someone’s lying to you, and that can be a little bit scary.”

Logan Johannisen added that Paulie’s habit of flipping between alliances had her questioning when he was telling the truth. She referenced the Tribal that saw Laura Noonan eliminated and reflected on why she decided to side with AJ Antonios instead of teaming up with Paulie and voting for her arch-nemesis.

“He kept saying, Oh, I’ve got all these friendships on the other side. And that was kind of a red flag for me,” she said.

“There was, there was a lot of inconsistencies in Paulie’s stories as well, and he was fighting for his life. So we just kind of had to go with what felt like was the best moment at the time.”

Paulie has found somewhat of an ally in Myles Kuah who played his Idol to protect him. However, Myles has called Paulie “expendable” in recent interviews. Will Myles step up when Paulie needs him?

MAFS’ Jacqui spills real reason she wrote stay for Ryan: ‘Wanted a fight’

Aussies around the country were screaming at the telly during Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 last night after Jacqui Burfoot chose to write stay during the Commitment Ceremony. Why on earth would she want to stick around with Ryan Donnelly when they clearly have no future together?

ICYMI, Ryan clearly told Jacqui at the Dinner Party that he was done with the relationship, which led to tears and one iconic quote from the bride: “I don’t lose people, people lose me”.

However, since Jacqui chose to write stay on the couch, rules state that the couple has to stick around for another week.

She tells Chattr the reason she didn’t leave the experiment was purely to try and “save Ryan’s ego”, which is an interesting reason.

“I was trying to leave safely as friends to save Ryan’s ego with our differences aside, putting our relationship in the best place possible, resolve differences and leave with understanding and acceptance of why we would never be a good match,” she says.

“That just wasn’t an option for the producers — they wouldn’t let me leave like that — they wanted a fight.”

She claims that she felt “scared of Ryan” and was unable to “voice her true feelings”.

The bride tells Chattr that she felt “gaslit” on the couch, and had already told Ryan and the cameras she “didn’t see a future with him”.

Jacqui claims she tried to leave MAFS after the Commitment Ceremony

On Instagram, Jacqui dropped another bombshell: she was stopped by producers when she tried to leave. The easiest thing would have been for her to write leave during the actual Commitment Ceremony, but we all know she loves to go rogue.

“I packed my bags that night and tried to leave but was stopped by production,” she claimed.

“They refused to let me leave and said I had to stay as per the rules of the experiment. They told me Ryan was feeling crushed and it was my chance to make him feel included and accepted as a human. So [I] guess that was my final job. I didn’t see any future with him.”

Jacqui shared some more insight on social media. Image: Instagram

Jacqui added that she “wanted to leave amicably” but changed her mind.

Does this mean we’re going to see some explosive moments? Love her or hate her, you can’t deny Jacqui is making for some damn good TV.

Meet the wannabe MAFS brides and grooms set to star in the show’s most shocking twist

Just when we thought Final Vows were about to descend on us, that cheeky little experiment Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 threw one last curveball our way, introducing one final challenge.

For the first time ever, the experts have introduced the ‘Is the Grass Greener On The Other Side?’ challenge, designed to test the relationships of our couples before they make their decision as to whether they want to continue on the outside.

Each MAFS participant will be given an option to meet up with another compatible match allegedly hand-chosen by the experts, and someone who has been deemed ‘scientifically better’. Whatever that means.

The challenge has already been widely reported on, so if you’re hearing it for the first time, it turns out a lot of our 2025 MAFS faves ‘failed’ the challenge by opting to see if the grass really was greener on the other side. As reported by The Daily Mail earlier in March, only one couple remained strong with Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic opting not to meet their match.

Carina Mirable and Dave Hand also decided against it, while their partners Paul Antoine and Jamie Marinos both agreed to meet their back-up option.

In less surprising news, Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou, Jacqueline Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly, and Teejay Halkias and Beth Kelly also met their backup matches.

So who are these backup matches? Let’s dive into it.

Everything we know about the 2025 backup MAFS matches

Tara-Lee Preston

After saying yes to the challenge, Teejay met up with Sydney sales consultant Tara-Lee, with the two reportedly “hitting it off”.

A production source told The Daily Mail that Teejay was “loving the chemistry”. “They just vibed instantly,” they said. “He had more spark with Tara in one day than he had with his actual bride in weeks.”

Interestingly, Tara is following Teejay on Instagram. Could there be more to come? Watch this space.

Oisin Scully

Beth went ahead and met Irish personal trainer Oisin, but reportedly wasn’t convinced he was a better match for her than Teejay. Oisin was apparently close to making the full-time cast this year, so perhaps we’ll see him back in 2026?

Hannah Dawson

Hannah wasn’t impressed with Paul. Image: Nine

Little is actually known about Hannah who went on a date with Paul, while his wife Carina opted out of the challenge.

A source told The Daily Mail that Hannah was confused as to why Paul was meeting up with her if everything was fine in his marriage. “She told him, ‘If you were happy, you wouldn’t be here’,” the source revealed.

Let’s see how that all goes down with Carina!

Tim King

Tim King pictured with his dog was a backup groom for Awhina on the MAFS grass is greener challenge
Tim was meant to be an original participant on this season. Image: Nine

Tim is set to go on a date with Awhina, but can he win over the mother of one?

Tim spoke to The Daily Mail himself, saying he was meant to be an original participant but his bride bailed.

“I went off to Europe, then they called me back as an intruder groom, but two days before I was meant to go on, I got a call saying they went with another guy,” he said. “I was called back again when my original bride decided to come back, but I was still in Europe, so they found a replacement groom for her.”

While Tim says he and Awhina hit it off, he offered a sympathetic ear to her concerns. “She was nice, but she wasn’t my type. I just played a counsellor role. I didn’t want to be the homewrecker,” he said.

Maxi

Maxi was a backup wife for MAFS' Adrian for the grass is greener challenge
Adrian and Maxi appear to still be in contact. Image: Nine

Meanwhile, Adrian was matched with ‘wannabe influencer’ Maxi, and it appears the two may still be in contact, as they’re still following each other on Instagram. Is it all innocent? You never know with Adrian!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Does swanning around a sundrenched Spanish villa and possibly finding the love of your life sound tempting? Then you’re in luck because Love Island Australia is casting for 2025.

The very first casting announcement for Season 7 has dropped, and we’ve got all the details about how you can be on the show.

So, get your iPhone camera ready and read on to find out how to apply for Love Island 2025.

Love Island 2023's Sav, Lucinda and Trent.

What is the Love Island Australia 2025 casting announcement?

Love Island announced on March 24 that casting for the upcoming Australian season is open.

“Do you have what it takes to be an Islander? Are you ready for a European summer of love?” The advert reads.

It points hopeful singles to the application page here and encourages them to come armed with “hot pics and a vibey video.”

What is the age limit for Love Island Australia 2025?

It’s bad news for anyone born after 1993, as the application page stipulates that they’re looking for contestants between the ages of 19 and 30.

Eilsha, Hannah and Zanthe on Love island.
Love Island’s Hannah, Eilisha and Xanthe. Image: Nine.

What’s involved in the application process?

The first part of the application process requires hopefuls to fill out some basic details about themselves, think name, address, social media handles etc.

From there, they’ll be asked to send some more detailed responses. Some of the questions are as follows:

  • In 50 words or fewer, please write a dating profile for yourself.
  •  If you were to slide into someone’s DMs, what would you say to get their attention?
  • Who would you have dated from previous series of Love Island?
  • Do you have a secret crush that you think we should invite to Love Island? If so, what is their Instagram handle?

The last one makes a lot of sense, considering the rise of exes on the show. The 2022 season saw Claudia Bonifazio‘s ex Jason Shtjefni enter the villa, and who could forget the pre-existing situationship between Love Island Australia 2024’s Sophie Mills and Zane Prophet?

Body language expert predicts which MAFS couples are going into Final Vows strong

We’ve nearly done it, everyone! We’ve nearly survived another season of Married At First Sight (MAFS)! Final Vows are just around the corner, meaning our 2025 couples are about to decide whether or not they’ll continue their relationships outside of the experiment.

Somehow, against all odds, we have six couples heading through to Final Vows, despite the fact both Ryan Donnelly and Teejay Halkias opted to leave. But because their partners Jacqui Burfoot and Beth Kelly opted to stay, you know what that means. Everyone’s held hostage for another week.

Now, we know the experiment is throwing one final shocking test at the participants before the Final Vows, which means we can safely assume not every couple will make it to the final dramatic speeches.

Combined Communications Specialist and Body Language Expert Scott Taylor spoke with Chattr about the last commitment ceremony and where he sees our final couples decision heading as Final Vows approaches.

Jacqui and Ryan

MAFS' Ryan and Jacqui at the final commitment ceremony
Body language expert Scott Taylor doesn’t buy into Jacqui’s intentions. Image: Nine

Scott isn’t entirely buying that Jacqui wanted to stay to work on things with Ryan, telling Chattr: “Jacqui’s excuse of writing stay to try talk about it was a complete fabrication and in no way does she think Ryan or the relationship was worth fighting for.

“She means some more airtime was worth fighting for, as she just wants to have a chance at a meme-centred Final Vow speech.”

Teejay and Beth

MAFS' Beth and Teejay at final commitment ceremony
For some reason, these two are still here. Image: Nine

When it comes to our intruder couple, everyone’s a little surprised to see them staying until the bitter end and it’s hard to imagine they’ll even make it to Final Vows after Teejay said he wanted to leave the experiment due to his romantic connection with Beth not growing.

Scott pointed out Teejay’s use of language during the Commitment Ceremony, saying it didn’t hint towards any kind of happy ending with the pair. “When John pressed Teejay he said, ‘we’ve had a connection’ not ‘we have’,” Scott said. “They sat knee-crossed across blocking each other immediately.”

Jamie and Dave

MAFS' Jamie and Dave at the final commitment ceremony
Will these two end the experiment just as friends? Image: Nine

Scott also pointed out Dave’s use of past tense when it came to talking about his relationship with Jamie, after Dave said, “We have had such a good time” not “we are having a good time”.

However, Scott does think Dave is genuine when he’s talked about wanting to improve things. “Dave was legitimate when he said he wanted to work on improving things… that could be as a good friend dynamic, but his non-verbals aligned with his words there.”

Paul and Carina

MAFS' Carina and Paul
Despite the happy facade, Scott isn’t buying into Paul and Carina. Image: Nine

While the two raved about their homestays, Scott isn’t as convinced that they’re solid and happy, calling Paul and Carina’s couch time “fake overkill”.

“Paul sat separate from Carina [and] just had his hand on her knee, I didn’t see a solid connection there,” Scott told us. “At times Paul was also leaning away from Carina and she was doing the same.”

Adrian and Awhina

MAFS Awhina and Adrian at final commitment ceremony
Scott isn’t buying that Awhina is feeling settled. Image: Nine

While it appears things between Adrian and Awhina are back on track, despite the fact they have no idea how they’ll navigate their relationship long-distance, Scott isn’t buying that Awhina is feeling content.

“Awhina said she didn’t want to put her walls back up [but] what she meant is she wants to avoid conflict,” Scott said. “Adrian said ‘we can sit here comfortable’ but she was anything but. Dipped chin, raised shoulders, withdrawn lips etc.”

Rhi and Jeff

Rhi and Jeff on Married at First Sight
Thank god for our new mum and dad. Image: Nine

Not everything sucks! Scott believes Rhi and Jeff’s connection is genuine, so thank goodness we can back one couple this year.

“They sat replicating knee cross and head tilt – strong connection,” Scott said. “Good non-verbals and even tone throughout.”

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Farmer Wants a Wife 2025: Meet Tom, the sheep-farming Swiftie sweetheart

Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2025 is on its way, bringing us a new crop of four fresh-faced Farmers in search of true love, including the charming and cuddly, Farmer Tom.

Playing Cupid this season is Natalie Gruzlewski, making her return as host after taking a backseat in recent years.

With 11 marriages and 28 kids under its belt since launching, FWAW has a pretty impressive track record. So… could Tom be next?

Here’s everything we know about Farmer Wants a Wife 2025’s sweet, sheep-loving Tom.

Split image of the 2025 Farmer Wants a Wife farmers walking confidently down a tree-lined road on the left, and host Natalie Gruzlewski smiling in a floral blouse on the right.
Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 Farmers (left) and host Natalie Gruzlewski (right). Image: Seven, Instagram

Who is Farmer Wants a Wife 2025’s Farmer Tom?

Tom is a 31-year-old sheep farmer from Borambola, New South Wales — a remote community in the Riverina region near Wagga Wagga.

How remote? According to the 2021 Census, Borambola has a population of just 117 people, so yeah… doesn’t get much smaller town vibes than that!

The small-town boy has a big heart — a certified animal lover with plenty of pets “floating around,” including pet sheep and even guinea fowl.

“I think sheep are cheeky,” he said in a FWAW teaser. “Especially the pet ones — they always get their way.”

As for personality, Tom says his best traits are “happiness,” and, “I’d like to say I’m pretty good at cuddles. Definitely affectionate.” Stop. It.

Oh, and he’s a massive Taylor Swift fan. As he should be.

What is Tom looking for on Farmer Wants a Wife 2025?

According to the trailer, Tom is searching for his “dream girl,” someone he says been waiting a long time to meet.

“Finding love is what I’m missing,” he said. “I’m at that stage in life where it’s important to find the right person to settle down with.”

His dream partner is Someone who’s positive, passionate, and, of course, loves animals.

Tearing up just talking about it, Tom described his idea of a fairytale life as: “Having a wife, having a few kids, enjoying the farm together, and everyone happy.”

“I’d like nothing more than to actually find her, and start that life together,” he added.

We’re rooting for you, Tom. May your farm fairytale come true.

What’s the 2025 season of Farmer Wants a Wife about?

This year’s season will follow four farmers (Corey, Thomas, Jarrad, and of course, Tom) as they each welcome a group of single ladies to their farms in hopes of finding the one.

There’ll be romance, countryside getaways, and (hopefully) a few more real-deal love stories to add to the FWAW record books.

Is there a trailer?

Yep, there is, though it’s a bit of a teaser. The clip focuses mostly on past FWAW success stories, rather than giving away what’s coming this season.

Still, it’s enough to get us excited. How will things pan out for Farmer Tom? We can’t wait to find out.

Farmer Wants a Wife will air on Channel 7 and 7Plus after Easter 2025.

MasterChef 2025’s Audra Morrice is returning to the competition after 15 insane years

MasterChef Australia 2025 is upon us, bringing back some of the biggest fan-favourite contestants for MasterChef: Back to Win, including the brilliant Audra Morrice.

Guiding the chefs through what is sure to be one of the most nostalgia-packed seasons yet are returning Masterchef Australia judges Andy Allen, the always-charming Poh Ling Yeow, multi-Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, and food critic Sofia Levin.

You might remember Audra from all the way back in MasterChef Australia Season 4 in 2012 (yes, we’re feeling old too). Her elegant, culturally rich dishes earned her a spot in the top three. And ever since, she’s been hard at work building a global food empire.

Here’s everything you need to know about MasterChef Australia 2025’s Audra.

Who is Masterchef 2025’s Audra Morrice?

If you tuned into MasterChef Australia back in 2012, you’ll likely remember Audra for her warm personality and vibrant fusion dishes that landed her a well-deserved spot in the top three.

Her cooking style is shaped by her Singaporean Chinese-Indian heritage, and she’s known for bold, flavour-packed creations that reflect her multicultural roots.

Since her original season, Audra’s become a staple of the global food scene and the MasterChef franchise.

She’s hosted Tasty Conversations on SBS Food, judged MasterChef Asia and currently fronts MasterChef Singapore as both host and judge.

She also runs a Sydney-based catering business, teaches cooking classes in both Australia and Singapore, and consults for major food and hospitality events, including the Laguna Phuket Food and Music Festival, which drew major props from the Thai tourism board, and even the Governor of Phuket.

Her entrepreneurial side is just as impressive

Audra penned her cookbook My Kitchen, Your Table in 2015 as a celebration of culture and connection through food. In 2018, she followed it up with Cook & Feast.

She’s developed an all-natural, gluten-free product range of goodies like relishes, jams, and mayo, which is stocked online.

She’s also teamed up with Accor Plus to offer guided food tours of Singapore, taking guests far off the tourist trail to explore the local flavours she grew up with.

What was Audra doing before Masterchef Australia?

Before her life-changing stint on MasterChef Austraia, Audra was an account manager at telecommunications company AAPT, with a degree in Economics and Japanese.

At 41, she took the leap, traded in the corporate life, and followed her heart into the kitchen.

N she’s built a global food career, become a household name, and carved out her place in the culinary world. But her return to MasterChef Australia 2025 proves there’s always room for one more dream.

Now, she’s a culinary queen in her own right. But her return to MasterChef Australia 2025 proves there’s always room for one more dream.

Could this finally be her time to take the crown?

MasterChef Australia season 17 airs in 2025 on 10 and 10Play.

MAFS 2025 Episode 33 Recap: How fun’s an unreciprocated ‘Leave’?

It’s the last Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 Commitment Ceremony, which means John Aiken can finally stop falling asleep on the couch. Let’s recap! There’s not many left now.

Jamie and Dave: Jamie’s no longer in love! And I’m a fire hydrant! I think it’s just a dignity-saving tactic. Anyway, they both stay because Dave reckons his feelings are growing now.

Jamie listens to Dave expressing his feelings on the couch during a MAFS commitment ceremony.
Unlike his beard. Image: Nine.

Rhi and Jeff: The exes say they are “on their way” to falling in love and, I’m sorry, but isn’t everyone who’s in a relationship either in love or on their way there? Isn’t that the whole point of being in one?

Rhi and Jeff are all smiles on the MAFS Commitment Ceremony couch.
We’re on our way to developing more feelings for each other, which is generally the result of spending more time together. Image: Nine.

Teejay and Beth: Teejay doesn’t see a romantic connection with Beth building over the next two weeks and wrote ‘leave’. Perhaps Beth could take a leaf out of Jamie’s book with the whole dignity-saving thing, because she, for some reason that rhymes with Shmintagram Shmollowers, wrote stay.

Beth explains her feelings about Teejay on MAFS 2025.
This isn’t awkward or forced at all! Image: Nine.

Adrian and Awhina: Adrian believes that God redirected his path to be with Awhina – well, in around 1-2 years from now when he’ll be willing to have the conversation about moving to Perth. Quick question: does Awhina write Adrian’s ‘Stay’ cards? They’ll be going to final vows, so I’m sure the show will be preparing the subtitles in advance.

Awhina and Adrian listen to the experts on MAFS.
This experiment’s been good, but yeah, bro. Image: Nine.

Carina and Paul: Paul is willing to get cosy with the Lord, and for that, Carina feels blessed. They are basically congratulated for the forgiveness they’ve given in this relationship, which makes me uncomfortable.

Carina and Paul laugh together on MAFS.
Remember when I didn’t face any consequences for violence? Image: Nine.

Ryan and Jacqui: When Ryan says he doesn’t feel accepted by Jacqui, she rolls her eyes and starts laughing before John tells her off.

Jacqui listens to the experts on MAFS.
Sorry John. Image: Nine.

She feels like she’s compromised on a lot, like her sleeping/wake-up times and letting him watch TV in the room. Everyone’s laughing at her (even though I too see these things as compromises), so she starts crying.

Jamie looks confused while listening to another MAFS couple on the couch, sitting next to Dave.
I can hear a suffocating bird? Image: Nine.

She cannot focus on Ryan’s feelings without bringing up her own. At this point, I just want him to apologise for this “scolding” so we can stop hearing about it.

Ryan and Jacqui listen to the experts at the final MAFS Commitment Ceremony.
“But they yelled at me.” Image: Nine.

Ryan writes leave, but Jacqui writes stay because their relationship’s a bit cooked like that. She allows him to leave if he really wants,, but she’d like to chat at least.

Beth and Teejay are shocked listening to another couple of the MAFS couch.
YOU CLEARLY HATE HIM. Image: Nine.

She thinks he’s worth fighting for! Even though she doesn’t think he’s great. I can’t wait to see how cooked their final vows are, tbh.

If they get there.

Meet the new Barren and Bounty Tribes on Australian Survivor 2025

Australian Survivor 2025 has had *another* Tribe Swap; this time, the new groups are called Barren and Bounty.

At Tribal Council, host Jonathan LaPaglia announced that there would be two new Tribes and the contestants who joined the Bounty side would return to the built-up camp that they’ve been living in since Merge. On the flip side, the Barren tribe would be sent to a new camp without any existing shelter or food.

“We’re going to divide the tribe into two new tribes until the next Immunity Challenge,” he explained.

“Whoever wins that challenge will win immunity for their entire new tribe.”

Who’s in the new Survivor Tribes?

Earlier in the episode, Kate won Individual Immunity, which automatically put her on the Bounty Tribe and gave her the power to bring a person of her choice. Unsurprisingly, she chose her Island bestie, Morgan.

Jonathan told the castaways that the two contestants with the most votes against them at Tribal would be sent to Barren. Paulie was fast-tracked there with four votes. Logan and AJ received three votes against them each, which led to a revote, and Logan was assigned to the Barren side.

The rest of the cast had their fate decided by drawing rocks. Those who drew black rocks joined the Bounty side, and the contestants who drew white were made part of Barren.

Are there any crossovers from the original Survivor tribes?

There are! With six OG Brains players and four OG Brawns players left in the game, both tribes are dominated by original Brains members.

It’s Zara, Karin, and AJ reunited from the original Brains on the Bounty Tribe, while Logan, Myles and Kaelan are together on the Barren tribe.

While Barren may not have the camp supplies, they’re clearly stacked with Challenge Beasts. We can’t wait to watch this one play out!

Everything we know about Severance Season 3, Apple TV+’s biggest hit

It seems like everybody suddenly has Severance fever, with the Apple TV+ show steadily gaining record amounts of views. The sci-fi drama starring Adam Scott recently surpassed Ted Lasso to become the streamer’s most-watched show of all time.

Severance has proven to be an extraordinary success and a cultural phenomenon,” Apple TV+’s head of programming Matt Cherniss said. “The series has become an obsession for audiences all over the world and we can’t wait for people to continue to experience all the masterful twists and turns as the rest of the season unfolds.”

If you haven’t heard of Severance, it’s an interesting commentary on capitalism and work-life balance. Workers at Lumon on the severed floor undergo an operation to “sever” their brains. The outies have no recollection of the eight hours they spend at work, and the innies only know life in the office.

The mind-blowing finale of Severance Season 1 aired in April 2022, and it took three painful years before Season 2 premiered in January 2025. Will it take another three years for Season 3 to premiere? Let’s hope not!

Severance Season 2 Apple TV+ Australia

Has Apple TV+ renewed Severance for Season 3?

Apple TV+ hasn’t officially announced Severance Season 3, but it seems like it’s inevitable. Executive producer Ben Stiller told The Hollywood Reporter that the writers room is “underway in LA” and believes it will have a large budget.

He also told Collider that Apple has been “really supportive” of the creative team, and aren’t pressuring the creators to drag the story out.

“It should go as long as the story goes, and that’s something we have an idea of and we’re working towards as we’re starting up our Season 3 work,” he said.

Ben Stiller gives massive Severance Season 3 update

As part of the promo for the finale of Severance Season 2 which debuted on March 21, Ben told Jason and Travis Kelce an announcement would be made shortly.

“No, the plan is not to [wait three years],” he said. “Hopefully we’ll be announcing what the plan is very soon.”

“It took us a little bit to regroup, and the show, we shot for 186 days on Season 2. Editing takes a while, but thank goodness the audience was there when we came back.”

Nexus Point News reported that Season 3 will see a change in the writers’ room, with new showrunners at the helm.

Season 2 showrunners Mark J. Friedman and Chris Black won’t be returning, and producers Amanda Overton and Anna Ouyang Moench have also parted ways.

Joining creator Dan Erickson as executive producers and showrunners are Succession’s Mary Laws and The Walking Dead’s Eli E. Jorne, which is pretty exciting.

When will Severance Season 3 be released?

Severance fans can rejoice because creator Dan doesn’t want there to be another three-year wait for more episodes.

“I certainly would like it to [take less time], yeah. And the conversations we have had about it, that’s been in the conversation,” he told Gizmodo. “Season 2 actually took about the same amount of time as Season 1. The difference, of course, is Season 1 nobody knew what the show was and so they weren’t waiting for it.

“But at the same time, you’re always looking to sort of fine-tune the process and take what works and leave what doesn’t work and streamline things. So, my hope is that if there is a Season 3, it’s going to be sooner.”

Severance Season 3 Apple TV+ Australia

What will the plot of Severance Season 3 be?

There are certainly many questions to be answered, and it’s likely Season 2 will end on a big cliffhanger. While we’re going to find out what the goats mean in the remaining Season 2 episodes, there’s bound to be broader questions. Perhaps we’ll find out what Lumon Industries does, if Burt Goodman (Christopher Walken) is secretly evil, and more about Mark Scout’s (Adam) wife Gemma (Dichen Lachmann).

Luckily, the show’s creator Dan already knows the direction the story is going, and he told Gizmodo the final scene of the entire show is already mapped out.

“I have a pretty solid idea of the endpoint of the show. I have kind of a final scene that has always been in my head and answers to some of the big questions,” he teased.

Who will be in the cast of Severance Season 3?

Since the show hasn’t officially been renewed, no cast list has been announced. You can assume that the main cast will return, including including Adam, Christopher, Dichen as well as Tramell TrillmanZach CherryBritt LowerJohn TurturroPatricia ArquetteJen Tullock Michael Chernus and Sarah Bock.

MAFS cast reveal truth about ‘jealousy’ over Jamie’s controversial trip to NZ

There have been some vicious rumours circling around Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 bride Jamie Marinos and her PR trip to New Zealand. She was flown over by the network to promote MAFS, and did a damn good job of it.

However, Daily Mail reported that some of the cast members were “jealous and livid” she was chosen over the rest of the cast. She’s had the biggest storylines of late, but there are two Kiwis — Awhina Rutene and Jacqui Burfoot — who were overlooked.

“Adrian was going around telling everyone that he was the star of the show and that he should be the one heading to NZ,” a source claimed.

“Jacqui Burfoot was convinced she was going to be the one sent to New Zealand because she is a Kiwi [and Awhina] held onto hope that she would be chosen.”

Chattr decided to ask Teejay Halkias and Beth Kelly to see if they had any inside information, and Teejay dropped a big bomb about a secret group chat.

“There may have been a name or a couple [of] names thrown across the group chat [who were annoyed],” he teased.

He said he wasn’t upset that Jamie was picked for the trip, but confirmed there were *some* unhappy people.

“I think there are certain people within the experiment that may think they deserve it. I’m not going to drop any names or anything like that. I think people can make up their mind for themselves, but it certainly wasn’t me,” he said.

Teejay said he “wasn’t offended” that he wasn’t flown across the ditch, and added that “Jamie deserves it”.

Beth is close friends with both Jamie and Awhina, and she claimed the trio were all really excited for the bride.

“I’ve not spoken to anybody about it other than Jamie and Awhina. Me and Awhina are stoked for Jamie, so I didn’t know if anybody else knew that she was going to New Zealand, but I’m so happy for her,” she said.

“She fucking deserved it.”

Was Jamie a ‘producer’s pet’ on MAFS?

Yahoo! Lifestyle previously reported that Jamie had ruffled some feathers with the cast by being a “producer’s pet” who would snitch on others who broke the rules.

MAFS 2025 Jamie and Dave
Dave and Jamie on MAFS. Image: Nine

Beth said while Jamie was definitely a “good girl” during filming, she didn’t think Jamie went out of her way to dob anybody in.

“Me and Awhina went out when we weren’t supposed to… and got busted, so we were probably in the bad books, but Jamie was just wanting to play by the rules,” Beth explained.

“I wouldn’t call her a [producer’s] pet, and I definitely don’t think she snitched on anyone.”

It certainly seems like Jamie’s good behaviour has paid off, as she’s set to be the breakout star from MAFS 2025.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Snow White review: A refreshed storyline with some bold choices and a few stumbles

Snow White has officially joined the ranks of Disney’s live-action remakes. While some of the movie draws parallels to its original form, it includes modern adaptations to its storyline, but did it hit the mark?

What was originally an eagerly awaited live-action reboot of the 1937 Disney classic suffered bad publicity and backlash ahead of its recent premiere in LA.

Rachel Zegler, who plays the titular character, spoke openly in an interview about how she believes the movie is “dated” in terms of its representation of women in power. That, paired with the decision for the seven dwarfs to be computer-generated, sparked major controversy and ignited a media storm — leading to a journalist ban on the red carpet premiere.

Despite all the pre-release drama, the film’s early reviews have been somewhat positive and full of praise for Rachel. Snow White proves to be a refreshing reimagining of the iconic tale that both challenges the original’s conventions and offers new insights into its timeless themes.

How the new Snow White varies from the original

The core story of Snow White story hasn’t changed — The evil Queen still covets the title of “fairest of them all”, Snow White still runs away from the Queen’s wrath, and the iconic poisoned apple is the catalyst for her slumber. However, the updated version diverges significantly from the original in terms of both character arcs and themes.

One of the most prominent shifts is in Snow White herself. In the original, Snow White was seen as a passive, innocent victim who needed saving. Rachel is far more self-reliant and determined to shape her own destiny. She no longer waits for a prince to rescue her; instead, she embarks on a quest not just for love but for justice for her people. This modern take on the character flips the script on traditional fairy tales.

In the new film, Snow White’s love interest is no longer a prince. Instead, Jonathan (played by Andrew Burnap) is a poor thief likened to Robin Hood. He’s the leader of a rebel group devoted to the king who set out to oppose the Evil Queen (played by Gal Gadot).

The new film’s modern visual style features spectacular sets and CGI effects, which enhance the magic and grandeur of the original story.

An honest review of Snow White

A major highlight is Rachel’s stand-out performance, vocals and energy in the film. She has perfectly captured the essence of Snow White, balancing beauty, kindness and strength.

I prefer the new empowered version of Snow White’s character to the classic one. I love that she’s not just a damsel in distress waiting for a prince to save her — she saves her love interest first, and it’s later on that he saves her. An empowered heroine is far more relatable to today’s audiences.

The film’s visuals also deserve high praise. From the lush, enchanted forests to the intricately designed castles, the cinematography truly brings the magical world of Snow White to life. The use of CGI enhances the fairy-tale atmosphere, offering breathtaking landscapes and fantastical creatures.

The soundtrack, which includes a mix of original compositions and new songs composed by songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, like Waiting on a Wish, is another standout.

Whilst I was impressed with the overall use of CGI, one of my biggest disappointments was the CGI of the seven dwarfs instead of real actors. Rather than evoking warmth or humour, the CGI dwarfs come across as creepy, uncanny and distracting from the magical tone of the film.

I was also disappointed with the early exit of the King (Hadley Fraser). His character arc, which plays a crucial role in the classic story, is underdeveloped, and his absence leaves the plot feeling incomplete.

The CGI Dwarves

Is Snow White a hit?

As the reboot of one the most iconic animated films, and other popular adaptations such as Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror Mirror, Snow White has a built-in fanbase. With a star-studded cast, modernised story and magical visuals it’s likely to be a big hit for Disney.

Recent live-action adaptations of classics, such as Lion King, Beauty and the beast and Wicked grossed over $1 billion whilst The Little Mermaid made over $550 million. These films were also initially met with mixed reactions but eventually gained loyal followings.

It remains to be seen whether Snow White will reach similar heights. If it can ride the wave of positive reviews of Rachel’s performance and the empowering elements of the story, it may see a similar level of success.

Snow White is now playing in cinemas Australia-wide.

Lawyer’s warning about MAFS contract: ‘May very well destroy your life’

We’ve had a few Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 cast members pipe up this year about feeling stuck on the show due to the contract they had signed.

Lawyer Jahan Kalantar recently told Tahnee Cook and Selina Chhaur on the Back To Reality podcast that he’s read the legal document, and described it as “scary”.

He’s a Sydney-based criminal lawyer who is the Founder and Managing Partner of Executive Law Group — so he knows his stuff! Apparently, he read the MAFS contract in detail after a client asked for advice.

“I spent hours trying to persuade my client not to go on this show,” he said. “Look, I’m telling you. I look at contracts all day, and I look at big contracts. We’re talking sales of multimillion-dollar properties and whatnot. This is a big, scary contract. It’s intimidating.”

He told Tahnee and Selina that the first page was in plain English, and compared it to a warning on a can of bug spray. He claimed the contract lets contestants know they will be portrayed however they see fit, because the network “owns” them.

“That to me, was something quite unusual,” he said. “I mean, good on them for at least putting the label up front and letting you know.

“But things like, you know, ‘We’re going to record you, you may not be aware that we’re recording you’, is a part of that particular contract — it’s staggering. Like it’s really genuinely staggering.”

Jahan compared the job of a MAFS contestant to a “galley slave”, claiming they’re required to work 12, 13, 14 hour days on set for “basically minimum wage”.

“They are telling you like ‘Based on how we feel, we very well may portray you in a way that is completely disingenuous to who you actually are. And we may very well destroy your life.’,” he claimed.

MAFS’ Richard reveals clauses from the MAFS 2024 contract

MAFS’ oldest groom ever, Richard Sauerman, recently shared some clauses from his contract on Instagram, and it’s surprising. He claimed that the entire contract was 37 pages long — which is a doozy!

MAFS 2024 Richard Andrea contract
Richard and Andrea on MAFS last year. Image: Nine

Describing the clauses as “the seven rules of the game”, he showed viewers what cast members have to agree to, which include:

  • You may or may not be shown in a way that you consider favourable or unfavourable.
  • You may be shown in a way you consider to be embarrassing.
  • You and your Partner may not result in a successful or compatible match.
  • You may receive a lot of public attention, including on TV, in newspapers, social media and by paparazzi and other commentators, that may be untrue, negative or unwanted.
  • You are not guaranteed financial rewards or fame by participating – this is a program where the main goal is to find love.
  • Your appearance on the Program may result in others seeing or treating you differently in your personal, work or professional life.
  • You may experience these things during and after your participation in the Program and its broadcast in both Australia and internationally.

That’s a lot to agree to — and there are many other pages! The MAFS cast members are stronger than me, that’s for sure.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Has the Australian Idol 2025 winner leaked?

The Australian Idol 2025 finale is sneaking up on us, and one of the remaining 12 contestants will be crowned the winner in just a matter of weeks.

But which of those 12 contestants will it be? Well, a sneaky pre-season comment by Australian Idol host Ricki-Lee Coulter may have given us some insight into this year’s Idol.

Ricki-Lee told Chattr in an interview that she thinks there are two contestants that viewers should keep an eye on, and those two are still in the running to win!

“There’s a girl. She’s 16 years old, and her name is Iilysh [Retallick],” Ricki-Lee told Chattr at the time.

“I was talking to her before she went into the audition room, and she was as quiet as a mouse, and I was thinking. “This girl is going to go in there, and they’re going to rip her to shreds. They’re not even going to be able to hear her talking because she’s that quiet.”

“And she walks into that audition room and floors everyone. She sang Alanis Morrisette‘s You Oughta Know, and it’s shocking. You just don’t expect it. She’s amazing.”

Ricki-Lee also pointed out another contestant’s extreme talent.

“There’s also a guy named Marshall Hamburger, who’s just incredible. I think he’s definitely one to watch.”

However, there’s a third contestant who is most certainly on fans’ radars. The Australian Idol Instagram page is flooded with comments about Gisella Colletti taking out the win.

Who do fans think will win Australian Idol 2025?

Throughout the 2025 season of Australian Idol, Iilysh has been a fan favourite, with countless comments scattered on her Instagram posts that are already declaring her the winner.

“Next Australian Idol for 2025. Absolutely amazing,” one person wrote. Another commented. “Go, Iilysh, you can win the Australia idol. Rock on.”

However, now that the finals are nearing, a new contestant seems to be dominating Australia’s interest.

Ever since the Top 8 were announced on March 18, the comments on Australian Idol‘s Instagram page have been littered with comments about Gisella.

“Let’s go, Gisella, this year’s winner,” one person commented. Another wrote, “Gisellea is the Winner.”

“Let’s go [Gisella], you rock it, and hopefully, you will be the winner of [Australian Idol] 2025,” a third person wrote.

With a strong backing paired with her strong voice — will Gisella take it all the way?

Australian Idol 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

MAFS’ Jamie and Beth share Grass is Greener challenge details that tears couples apart: ‘Explosive fights’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 will be introducing a world-first challenge which sounds like it will cause some major drama. It takes place in the Final Test Week, where the MAFS cast will get the choice to meet with a backup partner to see if the grass is greener on the other side.

Chattr has the inside scoop about what happens and it sounds extremely messy. Plus, both Jamie Marinos and Beth Kelly have exclusively told us why they chose to take part.

There’ll be “fights, accusations of cheating and an explosive Dinner Party”, all before Final Vows

Our source tells us the couples are all separated and given the challenge, letting them choose if they want to meet another match that the experts had lined up for them. Without being able to discuss it with their partners, the participants have to decide if they will go through with the date.

“The experts reveal that there’s more than one match out there, and asked if the contestants wanted to meet another person,” the insider spills.

“A lot of people took it as like, ‘Oh, we can meet someone who’s a potential match for us’, because Final Vows were right around the corner and you needed all the information possible to make sure you’re making the right decision.”

However, some participants considered it cheating, with Carina Mirabile left devastated when her husband Paul Antoine went on the date.

MAFS 2025 Carina Paul grass is greener challenge final test week
Carina is said to be upset with Paul during Final Test Week. Image: Nine

“Paul took up the challenge and Carina thought it was cheating, so she cried about it. This challenge basically broke up their relationship,” the source explains.

“Carina felt really uncomfortable, and she was saying at the Dinner Party, ‘How could you do this knowing how uncomfortable I was with the Couple Swap, and now you go and take up the challenge?’.”

Who else chooses to take up the MAFS ‘grass is greener’ challenge?

Awhina Rutene, Adrian Araouzou, Jacqui Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly also chose to meet their potential matches, but there was something odd about Adrian and Ryan’s alternative brides.

“Weirdly, Adrian and Ryan’s matches were both told to tell them that they were supposed to be the first choice brides on the show, but they couldn’t be there for filming because they were overseas,” the insider reveals.

“This raised suspicion as to whether or not these ‘matches’ were actually actors, or some of them were actors.”

MAFS 2025 Jacqui and Ryan
Ryan and Jacqui both choose to meet their alternative matches. Image: Nine

There’s also going to be drama in Jacqui and Ryan’s relationship as well, as Ryan accuses Jacqui of cheating on him — even though he also took the chance to meet his potential match. Make it make sense?!

Chattr also heard that when Jamie took up the challenge, her potential match ghosted her, while strong couple Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels opted not to. Both Beth and Teejay Halkias met their alternative matches.

Beth regrets taking part in MAFS’ Final Test Week challenge

Beth opted to meet her backup match, and after the rocky relationship she’s been having with Teejay, nobody would blame her.

She tells Chattr she knew Teejay would go on his date, and that’s why she decided to go. Plus, she was “really hurt” by his past actions.

“I thought, well, you know what, Teejay doesn’t really seem like he wants me. It’d be stupid for me to sit here and not go and see my other potential match,” she explains.

“To be honest, I instantly regretted it. The whole time I was just thinking about Teejay and I was just thinking about how much better our banter was, how much more comfortable I felt around him than this new guy. My whole mind, the entire day, was on Teejay.”

She reveals that going on the date actually made her “feel worse”, because she was faced with the knowledge that she had really strong feelings for Teejay. And as we all know, his feelings aren’t as strong for her.

“I  did regret going… I came home feeling even more sad, because it just made me realise that [the] connection I had to Teejay was a lot stronger than I maybe thought [previously],” she explains.

Jamie explains why she took up the ‘grass is greener’ challenge

At this stage, Jamie and Dave Hand‘s relationship is clearly on the rocks. The fact that she opts to meet her alternative match seems to make sense, but Jamie knows there could be some backlash.

“Some people aren’t going to agree with my decision,” Jamie tells Chattr.

“I was dealing with a lot of hurt [and] rejection and kind of losing hope, and I wanted to be able to remind myself why I was partnered with Dave.”

She reveals that she was wanting to get “clarity and encouragement” from the task, instead of looking to find a new partner.

“I didn’t go in with [the] intention of starting something with someone else. I was very clear in that, that’s not how I operate,” she explains.

Final Test Week and the MAFS Final Vows are going to be wild, folks!

Australian actor Milly Alcock stars alongside The White Lotus’ Meghann Fahy in Netflix’s Sirens

Netflix’s new series Sirens will be a star-studded affair, and we’ll have our very own Australian addition to the cast with Milly Alcock playing Simone DeWitt.

Milly has been cast in a leading role as the little sister of Devon Devitt (played by The White Lotus Season 2’s Meghann Fahy). The A-list cast also includes Julianne Moore as Michaela Kell and Kevin Bacon as Peter Kell. Talk about an all-star lineup.

The mini-series is an adaptation of the play Elemeno Pea, which follows Devon, who thinks that her sister Devon has a creepy relationship with her millionaire boss, Michaela.

The series creator Molly Smith Metzler has described Sirens as a “true dark comedy” with a “Greek mythology vibe.”

Here’s everything we know about Netflix’s upcoming series Sirens.

When will Netflix’s Sirens be released?

The five-episode limited series will air exclusively on Netflix from May 22.

Who’s in the cast?

We already know that Milly, Julianne, Meghann, and Kevin play the lead characters in the series. They’ll be joined by Glenn Howerton as Ethan Corbin III, Felix Solis as Jose, and Bill Camp as Bruce DeWitt.

Other cast members include Josh Segarra, Trevor Salter, Britne Oldford, Lauren Weedman and Jenn Lyon.

Is there a trailer for Sirens?

Not yet, but stay tuned as Netflix will drop a trailer closer to the premiere date.

What else has Milly Alcock been in?

While Milly may be the least well-known name among the other three leads in Sirens, who’ve all been nominated for Emmys, that’s not likely to stay that way for long.

Milly shot to fame when she played the young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon from 2022 to 2024.

She’s also been cast to play Kara Zor-El / Supergirl in the DC Universe film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which will air in 2026. The 24-year-old treated fans to their first glimpse of her as a superhero on Instagram.

Milly will undoubtedly be one to watch, and we can’t wait to see her in Sirens.

Sirens airs on Netflix on May 22.
