INTERVIEW: Australian Idol’s Royston Sagigi-Baira reveals where the $100k prize money is going

Far North Queensland student Royston Sagigi-Baira was crowned the Australian Idol 2023 winner after an electrifying live Grand Finale on March 27.

Not only does he have bragging rights as the winner, but the 23-year-old also won a career-making contract with Sony Music and pocketed a cool $100k.

While the win was more important than a contract and money, the contestant will be putting the prize money to good use.

“I definitely want to be able to use most of it on the music and be able to try and push myself after the show and really make an imprint in the music industry in Australia,” he told Chattr after his epic achievement.

“I want to use it for that but also, I want it to go into communities and do workshops with the rural ones and the young people and I would love some of it to go into the community and do music workshops.”

After coming out victorious, the contestant said he just felt “grateful”.

“I feel so grateful. It feels almost like a dream I haven’t woken up from yet. I just feel like I haven’t soaked it in at all. It just feels so crazy. I feel like it’s the first day of the rest of my life.”

During the finale, Sagigi-Baira had the largest support team in the audience by far — complete with matching t-shirts and light-up signs. He also had a Zoomed-in audience from his hometown, filled with excited family and friends.

“It meant everything,” he said. “The love I felt and having them supporting me. It is always lovely to have your family and friends cheering you on. They all had signs and they were amazing. It just really meant everything.”

The singer may have beaten out runner-up 15-year-old Phoebe Stewart and second runner-up 20-year-old Josh Hannan, but he was overwhelmed by the prospect of becoming this year’s Idol.

“Unfortunately, it’s a competition,” he said. “But the thing about it is that the environment was so nice. Everyone was rooting for each other. Everyone was just really lovely. There were no divas in the group or anything like that. It was just awesome.”

Royston Sagigi-Baira‘s song choices were consistent throughout the competition

Australian Idol judges Harry Connick Jr, Meghan Trainor, Kyle Sandilands and Amy Shark celebrated Royston’s win, praising his time in the competition.

“Your journey through the process has been one of the greatest I’ve seen. It’s been cool. It’s going to be fun to watch your career. I’m proud of you, man, really proud of you,” Connick said during the finale.

“You win at always picking the perfect song for you. You’re ready. You’re so…I can’t speak tonight. You are amazing. I love you,” Trainor added.

For Sagigi-Baira, his song choice was important to him and he was even able to sing I Won’t Let You Go by James Morrison during the March 5 episode — the song he sang at his mother’s funeral.

His new single, Invincible, also has a special meaning, given that “it really followed my journey of trying to follow my dreams,” he admitted before adding that it also pointed out “the trials and tribulations that come with that.”

As for what’s next?

“Right now, that’s kind of the route I want to go. I want to sing songs that are empowering and inspiring and uplifting and, Invincible is one of those songs.”

“Sometime in the future, I definitely want to head over to America and work with industry people over there. I’m so excited. I can’t believe I get the opportunity to do that. This is such a dream and I’m just so grateful for Australia for believing in me. But for now, here I am. I’m the winner.”

INTERVIEW: Home and Away’s Ada Nicodemou on Leah’s future in the long-running soap

Home and Away’s Ada Nicodemou has been a staple on the long-running soap opera for over two decades, and lucky for us, we can all rest easy. She’s not going anywhere.

Speaking to Chattr, the 45-year-old spoke about her role on the hit show and how long she’ll continue to play Leah Patterson.

“Oh, as long as they’ll have me,” she admitted with a laugh.

“In all honesty, as long as they’ll have me. I love the show. I don’t want to be anywhere else. I always have loved the format, and it’s just a lovely place to work. So, you know, while people are loving the show, and I’m being challenged, and the show is going, I’m gonna be there.”

Ada Nicodemou. Source: Seven.

For the 45-year-old, she has a sense of pride being attached to one of Australia’s most beloved TV shows.

“I’ve always been very proud to be part of it,” she said.  “I was actually just saying to Ray [Meagher], I remember being at school when the first episode of Home and Away aired, and I was so excited to watch the show. And I’ve always been a massive fan [since then].

“So to now be part of such an iconic show, I never take it for granted. It’s an institution in this country and worldwide, and I’m so proud of the product we produce.”

Nicodemou has played Leah for over two decades and doesn’t “remember” a time before being on Home and Away.

“It’s funny because you say 23 years and I don’t remember my time beforehand, but I don’t also feel like I’ve been there for that long,” she admitted. “I just recently had like two to three weeks off work and God I missed everyone… It’s such a lovely place to work.”

Home and Away will air its 8000th episode on March 27

On March 27, the series will air its 8000th episode, and for the cast, it’s nothing short of an incredibly mean feat.

The episode will feature the highly-anticipated wedding between Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) and Tane (Ethan Zane Brown) — who, after a car accident stopped their first trip to the altar — will see them tie the knot at a traditional Māori wedding, complete with Kaikaranga and traditional poi dancers.

“It’s a great episode,” she said. “It’s a wedding, and I think everyone loves a wedding. We like to see some happy endings…I think it’s just perfect. I think it’s a nice payoff for the audience. And to see 8000 episodes, I think it’s nice to celebrate it like that.”

Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) and Tane (Ethan Zane Brown). Source: Seven.

Adding to this, she said the addition of cultural diversity is something that should be celebrated, and while it didn’t start off that way, it is now a firm part of the series. For Nicodemou — who is of Greek heritage — it’s a win for Aussie TV.

“I think it’s a really interesting episode to see how a Maori wedding is done as well, obviously there’s a bit of drama,” she added.

“I remember when I was young watching TV, there was no one that looked like me. When they put a Greek person on TV, then all sudden, it was just smashing plates. It was just so stereotypical. But now, Leah is Greek, sure, but we’re not sort of sitting there talking about her being Greek.”

Home and Away continues on 7 and 7Plus, each weeknight at 7.00 pm.

Placing second, 15-year-old Stewart was named the competition’s runner-up after her  Elton John’s Your Song performance reduced the judges to tears.

“I just want to say thank you, everyone, and for not laughing too much when I fell down the stairs,” the gracious performer said, after stumbling before the announcement.

“Seriously, this has been the best. I’m so proud of myself and everyone. This has just been a gift. I’m just so grateful for everything.”

ICYMI: Here’s everything that happened during the MAFS Final Vows — Part One

Well, we’ve made it to the Married at First Sight Australia 2023 Final Vows a.k.a episode 33 and tonight it’s time for the couples to make a decision whether or not to continue their relationship in the outside world.

With only five of 12 couples making it this far (and let’s face it, only one couple probs still standing strong IRL), Melinda and Layton and Alyssa and Duncan are the first to reveal their decisions to one another.

But before any decision can actually be made, they must bid adieu to their marital homes and relive their wedding day one last time.

With the Final Dinner Party still f**king with their psyches, where Alyssa once again “cut down” her husband, Duncan — who must be a glutton for punishment — says there’s still “warmth and affection” between him and Alyssa.

Duncan MAFS

“I’m feeling optimistic. There’s still great things about Alyssa. This is the biggest decision I’ve gotta make in a really long time,” he says.

Before they go their seperate ways, the Experts have “one last surprise” for the couple. Footage of their wedding day.

In case you had forgotten, the couple showed a f**k ton of promise during the blessed day and we thought they were cute AF.

Duncan and Alyssa

Through tears, Alyssa says she feels like it was “five years ago” and she’s not wrong. After everything she put Prince Charming through, it does feel like that and it reminds Duncan of all “the good times”. Which is not hard, since there were precisely two points in the whole experiment she liked him.

MAFS’ Melinda and Layton

Meanwhile, Melinda and Layton are feeling emotional in a different way.

Mel is feeling “humiliated” from the events of the Dinner Party and the couple are in a such a “terrible place”, that they spent their final night seperate from one another.

Melinda MAFS

While she does “love” him, she believes it’s “not good enough” for him, calling him “so analytical that he’ll never let his emotions come before his thoughts”.

The couple are also gifted their wedding video — albeit separately — and Layton says that how they behaved at the Dinner Party was “not us”. Funny, because it looked like them?!

“That shouldn’t be the way our story ends,” he says and from the outside looking in? It really should be.

Back at home, Layton doesn’t know if he feels he is falling in love with his wife.

After travelling to Brisbane, Melinda still cannot get past Layton’s rejection. In an emotional chat with her Mum Lorraine, she reflects on her husband’s inability to separate his heart from his mind and doesn’t know whether she can see a future with him.

Layton, meanwhile, has found “clarity” after spending time at home.

Layton’s Final MAFS Vows

“Mel, I came here with genuine intentions to find a love. I came here to find someone I can build a family with and find my happily ever after,” Layton began, before saying that after a “slow start”, their relationship quickly “turned to fireworks” and a “rare connection that most people would never get a chance to experience.”

He then lamented that “somewhere along the way, the journey became difficult”, saying that because of the “external” drama (a.k.a Harrison), they never got a chance to “fully recover”.

“At times our relationship became stressful, overwhelming and difficult and for my part in that I want to apologise. I realise there were times when I failed you.

“There were moments when you needed me and I wasn’t there to support you. There were moments when you didn’t feel secure and I wasn’t able to make you feel safe. And there were moments when you felt alone and I didn’t do enough to make you feel like I was standing there by your side.

Layton. Source: Nine.

“At times I let my pride, my ego and my own insecurities get the better of me and so, I’m sorry for all those times I let you down. People think a soulmate is a perfect fit and that’s what I thought I wanted. But maybe a true soulmate is a mirror. It’s a person that shows you everything that is holding you back. The person who brings you to your own attention so you can make a change.

“And my biggest fear, despite so many similarities and differences, we’ll always bring out the worst in each other, when love should bring out the best.

“The last week for me has been a constant battle between my head and my heart. Our relationship is hard and us being together is a risk. So, I’m ready to take that risk with you today. It’s better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all. And I am falling in love with you, Mel.”

Melinda’s Final MAFS Vows

Melinda began her Final Vows by reminiscing about their wedding day.

“I had been manifesting my perfect match for quite some time before that day and I was quick to judge that you were not because I didn’t feel an initial spark or attraction to you,” she said.

“Little did I know that you would soon become someone so special to me. That time together in the experiment was filled with big highs, big lows, and sharp twists and turns at every corner. I came in here hoping for a soulmate, a best friend and a teammate.

“There were times you had my back, but there were also times you were on the opposite team. At the final Dinner Party, I confessed how I felt about you. But, instead of reassuring me, you made me feel alone, humiliated and attacked by my own partner at a time when I was my most vulnerable.

Melinda MAFS final vows
Melinda. Source: Nine.

“I’m not sure if we can find a way to bring out the best in each other and I worry at times we’ll bring out the worst. And although it upsets and frustrates me, it doesn’t change the feelings I have for you and who you are at the core of this.

“Let me tell you now all the things I love about you. I love your ability to light up any room you walk into.
And the time you always have for others. Most of all, I love how you make me feel loved, without needing to actually love me at all.

“After everything we’ve been through together, this decision has not come easy for me. But the bond and connection we share is real. And I think we owe it to ourselves to take a risk on us and getting it right.

“You are my match and I don’t think that’s just inside the experiment. I’m not ready to throw in the towel on what could be happily ever after.

“Layton, in case you’re still confused with how I feel about you. Let me make it clear. I love you and I want us to be together.”

Alyssa’s Final MAFS Vows

Meanwhile, in their separate homes on Sydney’s Northern beaches, Alyssa leans on her Mum for support, while Duncan turns to his sister Renee and begins to consider what a future with Alyssa might really look like.

Upon meeting Duncan, Alyssa says that it felt like “a lifetime ago”, that she met him at the altar for the very first time.

“My heart was pounding but instantly settled, when you turned around with your big cheesy grin. I felt instantly connected to you.

“We’ve had so many good times over the last couple of months. The spark we had from the beginning just kept growing and growing. You were my biggest support from day one. There were times where you let me be completely raw and vulnerable and you listened. I felt so heard and I felt so seen by you something I’ve never had before.

“When it’s just the two of us, it’s easy, and magic. You can make me feel like I’m on top of the world.”

alyssa duncan final vows

“But the last few weeks have been increasingly difficult and sometimes I feel our love for each other has turned into a combat, and I’m really worried that your logical brain will continue to clash with my emotional heart. But I’m not ready to give up hope on us.

“I want to fight for our relationship because I know it’s worth it. Our connection from that first moment really means something and I can’t imagine my life without you.

“Duncan, I want to help you dig deep into that big heart of yours and feel what my soul is feeling for you. There are so many pieces of our puzzle that we haven’t found yet, but I want to find them together with you.”

Duncan’s Final MAFS Vows

“Thank you for your kind words,” Duncan says, before launching into his Final Vows.

“I came into this experiment to find the love of my life,” he began. “I dreamed of finding my forever person, the beginning of a great love story.

“From the very beginning, I love how you interacted with me. Your caring nature and empathy is seen by everyone and I love that you wear your heart on your sleeve. However, mixed with all the good times were also some really low lows.

“From the start, I was told to who I can and can’t talk to on this experiment. I also didn’t feel like I got the benefit of the doubt from you, even though I hadn’t broken your trust…I struggled with being shut out for days on end and not being able to communicate. I thought the Couple’s Retreat was a turning point in our relationship.

duncan final vows
Duncan. Source: Nine.

“But through all of this, there was never a time in the experiment where I gave up or said I was done. I leaned in and I have given given my all full of hope, trying to stay positive, trying to focus on the good even when we were struggling week to week and it felt harder to continue to grow the connection that started so well.

“I know what love is and what a great relationship is and I think that we both deserve that, but our views on what a healthy relationship looks like seems to be apart.

alyssa final vows

“I felt emotionally rejected more times than I can remember. Maybe it’s our personalities, maybe it’s our differing mindsets, but either way the gap seems too big to bridge. I don’t want to hurt you and I don’t want to continue getting hurt. So, I have to say goodbye.”

Duncan offers Alyssa a tissue, who — for the first time ever — politely declines before walking off.

“It’s not that Alyssas not a great person, it’s just that we’re not great together,” Duncan says in a final piece to camera.

Tomorrow night, Tahnee and Ollie, Lyndall and Cameron and Evelyn and Rupert will all make their final decision.

And that’s what you missed…

Everything you need to know about season 2 of Paramount+ series Yellowjackets

Yellowjackets became one of the hottest TV shows on Paramount+ in 2022, and now the second season is about to get underway.

In case you aren’t all caught up, the series is part survival epic, part psychological horror and part coming-of-age drama.

It follows the story of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness and, 25-years-later, the survivors try to piece everything back together.

**This article contains spoilers for season one of Yellowjackets**

Season one of Yellowjackets left us with a lot of unanswered questions

The season finale left us with a lot of unanswered questions.

After a slew of deaths — including Ella Purnell’s Jackie, we’re now questioning how Travis (Kevin Alves) and Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) survived in the snow and what the heck happened to Javi (Luciano Leroux).

We were also left questioning whether something supernatural was happening or if the surviving team hallucinated from malnutrition and mushrooms…

Young Lottie (Courtney Eaton) began a religious cult and now, thanks to the new trailer, we know that she spent years in an asylum, with New Zealand actor, Simone Kessel bringing Adult Lottie to life. We also learned she did not create the cult symbol — so where did it come from?

At the end of season one, Natalie (Juliette Lewis) — who was about to take her own life — was kidnapped by a gang of her cultists in the season finale and could be behind the postcards and the death of adult Travis (Andres Soto)! WHAT?!

Young Lottie (played by Courtney Eaton)

Adult Taissa (Tawny Cypress) is grappling with some freaky sleepwalking (and a weird son) while adult Shauna (Melanie Lynsky) just killed her boyfriend Adam (Peter Gadiot) — who we think he had more of a story to tell! Plus, her husband, Jeff (Warren Kole), was hiding money dealings with the mob.

Then there’s Misty (Christina Ricci) — is she a serial killer? Because probably!

We’ve also been led to believe there are more survivors besides the aforementioned…. it’s a lot to take in!

Here’s everything you need to know about Yellowjackets season two!

What will season two of Yellowjackets be about + watch the trailer!

Fingers crossed, all of our unanswered questions will finally be revealed!

“I do know that there will be some surprises in terms of the characters,” Showtime’s President of Entertainment Gary Levine told Deadline.

“There are still lots of questions about who survived, what happened out there. There will be some real surprises in terms of that and I think some characters you may not even have met yet.”

Who Is joining the cast of Yellowjackets season two?

Joining the aforementioned cast is Lauren Ambrose, who will play adult Van, Simone Kessell has joined the cast as adult Lottie, and Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood will play a nosy citizen.

When will the season premiere?

Paramount+ Original Series Yellowjackets will stream exclusively On Paramount+ from Friday, March 24.

Is there a third season of Yellowjackets?

Back in December, the popular series was greenlit for a third season.

“With Yellowjackets runaway success in season one and the pent-up anticipation for season two, we wanted to maximise the momentum by fast-tracking season three now,” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime and Paramount Media Networks.

Yellowjackets season two premieres from Friday, March 24 on Paramount+.

Here’s what happened during the FINAL Married at First Sight Dinner Party for 2023

It’s the FINAL Married at First Sight Australia 2023 Dinner Party (a.k.a episode 32) and at this point, we’re just waiting for someone to throw a glass of wine over Harrison.

Tonight marks the first time the couples have seen each other since Homestays, and they have A LOT to catch up on.

After the couples visited each other’s living quarters, most couples are, as Expert John would say, “in crisis” — except for Tahnee and Ollie because they are perfection.

Tahnee and Ollie. MAFS
Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.

Speaking of the #blessed pair, before the final supper, they reflect on their positive time together — the perfect amuse-bouche to what we’re sure will be an absolute sh**tfight of a dinner party.

“Would I move to Bondi? Yes I would if Tahnee was there,” Ollie says, and le sigh. They’re even couple dressing!

Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.

Meanwhile, in complete contrast, Melinda and Layton remain worried about how their relationship will survive outside the experiment and while they seriously can’t stand each other right now, they are heading into tonight’s Dinner Party united. Cute.

Unfortunately, Harrison and Bronte are STILL HERE but have not spoken since Bronte’s sister, Kirra, tore “Harry” to shreds during their visit to Perth.

The FINAL Cocktail hour is here!

The first couple to walk in are Alyssa and Duncan. A couple so far “in crisis” that no amount of therapy will get them where they need to be.

Alyssa still hates Duncan even though every other woman over 25 would happily marry him and gives him the cold shoulder before Rupert and Evelyn walk through the door.

As predicted by John, Alyssa turns from ice queen to a warmed-up sprinter and legs it over to the newly arrived couple with open arms, before waiting precisely one second before telling them how awful her husband has been.

It went something like this.

Alyssa: How was homestays?

Evelyn: We had….

Alyssa: Great. Duncan is the worst.

Given that her husband is, in fact, not awful, Duncan is shattered. God, someone give that man a hug and let it be me!

“He pretty much ripped our entire relationship apart,” she says. Well, f**k.

Thankfully “these two” a.k.a Tahnee and Ollie enter. Ollie is thrilled by having lived in Bondi and is now “straight vibin'”.

Evelyn then tells Tahnee and Alyssa that she “let Rupert hit”, with Expert Mel announcing that they had S.E.X.

Evelyn then calls Rupert “goofy”, and we’re 100% sure that no guy who has ever been allowed to “hit” it would like to be described in this way…

While the girls are gossiping, Harrison walks in sans Bronte and Expert Alessandra is not surprised.

“It’s been their pattern. Up and down. Up and down. Up and down. Up and down…” You get the point before Harrison is grilled asked by a producer: “What was it like walking in by yourself?”

Harrison response?

Source: Warner Bros.

Ollie, who is truly vibin’ like a cop from Miami Vice, speaks for everyone when he says: “Here we go again!” and here we go again, indeed!

Appaz Harry “LOVED” Perth… before “Bronte viciously attacked” him (his words), and her sister called him a “GASLIGHTING, NARCISSISTIC, D**KHEAD!”

Of course, Evelyn LOVED it.

When Lyndall and Cameron arrive, Lyndall confesses to the girls that she received no affection from Cam during their visit to Darwin.

“I didn’t get a kiss,” Lyndall says and John states the obvious. Cam is not affectionate.

Bronte is the last to enter, and boy does this group feel small, don’t ya think?! She walks in with straightened hair, which, in womans terms means WAR.

Harrison is quick to approach her to talk, but she denies him and the girls support her decision.

“He’ll be hating every minute of this because he’s got no control over it,” John says, almost giddy.

Bronte then debriefs with the girls, but Harrison can’t let s**t go and comes over to interrupt the conversation before the girls basically tell him to f**k off.

Bronte. Source: Nine.

Once he leaves, Bronte confesses she is done with Harrison… and dinner is served!

The Dinner Party commences and the Honesty Box appears

While Layton and Ollie say the Dinner Party feels reminiscent of the “early days”, we know it’s far from the truth because Harrison wants to talk about Perth.

Before they can get into it, the Experts arrive with a ~tWiSt~ — the goddamn HONESTY BOX. i.e The box that unravels every single gaslighting groom and puts the most dramatic of Bride off-side and frankly, We. Can’t. Wait.

“Unpack everything here tonight,” Alessandra says, forgetting to mention: “not when the cameras aren’t rolling because DRAH-MA!”

Tahnee and Ollie are the first to take on the Honesty Box and admit to each other that they’re falling in love and are excited about their future.

“We can’t get enough of each other,” Ollie says, as he even melts the hearts of the most angry Brides.

Ollie. Source: Nine.

Alyssa and Duncan are next and Alyssa says she doesn’t think she’s “good enough”. After all this bloody time, she admits she has doubts about their relationship and you know what they say! When there is doubt, there is NO doubt!

While he says he likes her “when it’s good” (lol, never), Alyssa cuts him down, and he finally tells her off. Well, sort of. PRAISE BE.

“How I feel about you, I could talk about it for days…” he says. Side note: Is anyone watching Sanditon? Because this is giving us serial 1800s romance.

Duncan then admits he is “also concerned” about their different views on what a good relationship is as he doesn’t feel that their relo is healthy. NO SH*T SHERLOCK.

The perfect Groom then asks her what he can improve, and Alyssa pulls out a scroll written in blood… We joke, we joke!

Alyssa then tells him he takes things too literally and should put himself in her shoes for once. Lol.

“There’s so much tension between Duncan and I,” she says.

The final couples undertake the task with a side of “RIP Harrison”

Evelyn and Rupert’s responses are awkward at best.

Evelyn calls Rupert out for not having tried hard enough throughout this experiment and not taking her out on a date; however, we’re pretty sure Rupert has never taken anyone on a date in his life.

Rupert admits that he doesn’t feel like Evelyn is attracted to him, which Evelyn is annoyed by because she wouldn’t have “hit” if she wasn’t.

“She said, ‘I’ve had sex with you’, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re attracted to someone…” Rupert tells the producers. And here lies the issue with dating in 2023.

Rupert. Source: Nine.

Next up is Lyndall and Cameron.

In no surprise to anyone, their answers cause chaos, with Cameron’s main concern being their different lifestyles.

Finally seeing what the rest of Australia sees, Lyndall says she feels like her husband isn’t into her the way, she’s into him. That’s because he isn’t and he tells her so.

Lyndall then leaves the dinner table crying and is all like, how many times have we broken up this week?! Christ on a stick. If we were Lyndall, we wouldn’t even turn up to Final Vows.

Obviously, leaving the most doomed couples until last, the attention turns to Layton and Melinda.

Melinda reveals she is in love with Layton, and while everyone is like “ooooh”, Layton is all like: “Nah babes. Can’t be possible. We don’t even communicate!”

Calling Layton a “robot” who doesn’t tap into his emotions, LayLay then admits that he’s not falling in love with her…yet. Man. This is painful to watch because we’ve ALL been there!

And thar concludes the final Dinner Pa……

Jokes. Unfortunately, we are forced to sit through Bronte and ol’ mate.

As usual in front of a crowd, Harrison bangs on about regretting not cleaning his act up before going into the experiment and no one is buying his BS… especially Bronte.

Bronte refuses to give him anything while asking him questions.

“This is my turn to ask questions!” she says. Somebody’s in troooouble!

Bronte. Source: Nine.

In a Logie Award-winning performance, Harrison tells her that he has held onto “glimmers” of her “spontaneity” throughout the experiment, but then moves on to his least favourite thing.

“My least favourite thing about you is that you’re willing to talk negatively about your partner to other people.” Like the music in the background, Harrison’s mood completely changes and coupled with his tone, it’s a little jarring.

Harrison then describes the two deal breakers of their relationship.

“I told you I don’t want you to threaten to leave me again, and I don’t want you to say negative things about me.” He then turns the conversation to Homestays, saying, “you and your sister attacked me”.

“Oh please,” Bronte says. “Please. She held you accountable for being an absolute condescending a**hole to me.” YESS GIRL!

Measured, Harrison says: “No, Bronte. You sat there in support while she attacked me. She called me very, very damaging things in an aggressive manner, and you supported that. That was another betrayal.”

“I’d choose my family over you any day,” she tells him.

Lyndall finally interjects and asks him what Kirra said that was so damaging, and Bronte relays the exact words. “GASLIGHTING, NARCISSISTIC, D**KHEAD!”

“I never called Bronte a dickhead,” Harrison says.

Harrison. Source: Nine.

“You make me feel like I’m f**king crazy,” Bronte says, before Harrison tries to defend himself:

“That’s what you do to me. I see a side of you that I don’t approve of. Your behaviour is not becoming of someone I would want to be in a long-term relationship with.”

The Experts, who we forgot were even watching, say that this is his “style” and that he has been called a “narcissist and a gaslighter” in the past…..

Alessandra calls him “the most predictable person” they’ve ever had in this experiment.

“The most predictable person” now had the cards, and began to ask his “wife” questions (we’re shocked they let this continue, TBH) and Bronte tells him that he “never had my best interests at heart”.

“I believe you wanted to get through this to save your image, and I was a little pawn in your game. I saw that at Homestays. My sister called you out completely, and you didn’t like it.”

“Honestly, I have never met anybody like you,” she added.

Harrison’s response: “Thank you”.

“I mean that in the worst way possible,” she says. “I don’t believe that you were genuine from day one, and the way that you honestly think that everybody else’s problem…”

Harrison tries to interject and Bronte tells him to “let me talk”.

As Harrison continues, Lyndall interrupts him.

“It’s Bronte’s turn to answer questions, so you need to respectfully chill the f**k out and let her answer these questions.” F**K YES, LYNDALL. YOU GO, GLEN COCO!!

Lyndall. Source: Nine

“This is what you could have done differently,” Bronte says. “Hear me and actually listen and read the fricken room.

Harrison: “Yeh, do you want to go to the next question, or are you done?”

Bronte:

Bronte. Source: Nine.

“I’m done with you. I’m done with this man. Harrison, we’re done. We’re over, and I honestly never want to see you again.”

With this, Bronte exits stage left.

This was truly the most terrifying scene we’ve ever witnessed on this program and that’s saying a lot.

Goodbye Harrison. Good luck trying to find anyone to date you…

And that’s what you missed…

Interview: Yellowjackets’ Simone Kessell says A LOT of questions will be answered in season two

When New Zealand actress Simone Kessell was announced to play adult Lottie in season two of Paramount+ Yellowjackets, fans worldwide applauded the casting and now she has revealed A LOT of questions will be answered!

One of Kessell’s biggest roles on the show is finally giving Lottie — or “Charlotte”, as she likes to be known in season two — a full backstory.

“We’ll get to see what happened between the day they got rescued and to present day,” the Our Flag Means Death star told Chattr.

“It’s often told through the other characters and flashbacks. But it really focuses on what’s going on for her now.”

Simone Kessel

“Their pasts, obviously, are so integral to who they are as present day characters, where they’re kind of inter-woven. But yes, you’ll definitely get to see what happened.”

Another question from the first instalment was whether the teens were indeed experiencing something supernatural, or whether they were hallucinating from malnourishment — with Lottie leading the charge.

Kessell shed some light on what was going to happen.

“She has a sense and understanding that often others don’t,” she said. “She can’t see things, but she can sense things.”

Simone Kessell and Melanie Lynskey were friends prior to the show

“We ran in the same circles,” she said of her relationship with Melanie Lynskey, who plays adult Shauna.

“There’s not many of us working actresses in their 40s. And both of us growing up in New Zealand, we knew of each other’s work, and our paths kept crossing, and we have mutual friends.”

In fact, Lynskey was one of the first people she told when she landed the role!

“I Insta DM’d her, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God’, and she came straight back, and she goes, ‘Please tell me’ because she knew I was up for it. She goes, ‘please, please, please tell me!’ And I just wrote back, ‘Lottie’. And she went, ‘AAAAH!'”

Interview: Australian Idol’s Anya reveals how the contestants “lost control”

Anya Hynninen’s Australian Idol journey ended on March 20 when 23-year-old Royston Sagigi-Baira, Phoebe Stewart and Josh Hannan secured their place in the Top Three,

Now, she has revealed how the singers “lost control” at the end of the competition..

“When I was allowed to have the time to make arrangements [on the show] that made quite a difference,” she said during an interview with Chattr after her elimination.

“I used to completely dissect songs and I think, interpret lyrics in a different way. I’m only 20 but I’ve had my heart broken, I live out of home with my partner. It’s like a whole other level of maturity.

“We really lost so much control over arrangements at the pointy end of the competition.”

Anya Hynninen reveals why she was happy to only get to the Top 6

During her final episode, Hynninen said that she was hoping to at least make it to the Top Six, something she achieved; however, was grateful she didn’t make it further.

“Shows like this, sometimes if you win, sometimes it’s fine, like Guy Sebastian really utilised the win. But, for a lot of it, you’re completely controlled. All the restrictions that we’re feeling at the moment as contestants, I feel like, now, oh freedom!

“But if you win, that doesn’t end for another year or however long they want to have you for. For me, I just couldn’t be controlled like that. I’d just have to do it my way.”

Anya reveals that Harry Connick Jr “misinterpreted” her

While she was a true powerhouse, the singer “knew” that she was going home before the results were even announced.

“I knew,” she said. “I was thinking more about what I was going to have for dinner!”

Once the verdict was announced, Hynninen pointed out that “more important for others to be here”. Judge Harry Connick Jr quickly pointed out that she also deserved a spot on the Idol stage, telling the Selby local she had to believe in herself; however, the singer said he “misinterpreted” what she was saying.

“I was talking about representation,” she said. “It’s important that Royston be here. It’s important for his community…I was fine to put my ego out of the way if it meant he could make it to the Top Three, so his community has someone to aspire to. He’s a beautiful, beautiful person, and that is more important to me than winning.”

“Thank you and good night”: The trailer has arrived for the final season of The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel

The end is nigh for The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel with Prime Video releasing the trailer for the fifth and final season.

Premiering with three episodes on April 14 (with new episodes dropping weekly), the Emmy Award-winning series will wrap up the groundbreaking show and along with it, the story of fast-talking Midge Maisel.

With the show’s final performance airing on May 26, we thought it was only right to delve into the Maisel’s final hoorah. And what a hoorah it will be!

What will the final season of The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel be about?

As seen in the trailer (below), Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) finds herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away.

“I want a big life,” she says. “I wanna break every single rule there is!”

For Susie Myerson (Alex Borstein) she’s running a “very busy office now”, and Midge’s parents, Abe (Tony Shalhoub) and Rose (Marin Hinkle), well, they’re having a “run of bad luck”.

Midge herself is grappling with the fact that it’s “one step forward, two steps back”, and she’s “tired of it!” before “it’s showtime!” and she’s about to get her big break!

The epic, hilarious, and emotional final season of this beloved series will takes us through time for a spectacular send-off and we are truly not ready!

Who will be in the series finale?

Alongside the guest stars, as well as Brosnahan, Shalhoub, Borstein and Hinkle, returning cast include Michael Zegen as Joel, Kevin Pollak as Moishe, Caroline Aaron as Shirley, SAG Award winner Reid Scott as Gordon Ford, Alfie Fuller as Dinah, Jason Ralph as Mike Carr and Luke Kirby as Lenny Bruce.

ICYMI: The Australian Idol Top 3 was announced as a judge favourite was eliminated

Australian Idol has found its top three contenders for the Idol crown, after a judge favourite was eliminated from the competition.

During the March 20 episode of the show, it was a bittersweet night as we said goodbye to three contestants.

The Top Six opened the semi-finals with a killer performance of I Feel Good by David Guetta FT Bebe Rexha before hosts Ricki-Lee, and Scott Tweedie announced that each contestant would sing again before finding out who was headed to the Grand Finale on March 26.

23-year-old Royston Sagigi-Baira was first on stage, performing the power ballad I Want To Know What Love is by Foreigner.

Judge Kyle Sandilands said that Royston has “shone like a bright sun on this stage”, while Meghan Trainor said he “slayed every day”.

Next up was 19-year-old Anya Hynninen, who performed It’s a Man’s Man’s World by James Brown.

Meghan said the song was “the perfect song choice” and called Anya “badass” while Amy Shark said the singer had an “edge” and “super swag”.

Following the performances, Ricki-Lee revealed that Royston was headed to the Grand Finale.

“I can’t believe this. This is crazy!” he said. “This is a testament [to the fact] that no matter where you come from, as long as you work hard, you can follow your dreams and they can come true.”

Phoebe Stewart became the next Grand Finalist

Rocker Ben Sheehy was next to perform, taking on the Joe Cocker classic The Letter before 15-year-old Phoebe Stewart hit the stage with a moving performance of Lost Without You by Freya Ridings.

Amy said Ben had “something so weird about you, but weird is a good thing” and “everything about you draws people in”, while Harry Connick Jr said the performance was “cool” and said he should create an album called “Ben’s Lasts Notes“.

Critiquing Phoebe’s performance, Harry said that Phoebe “checked every single box,” while Kyle called her a “beautiful vocalist” that sounded like “heaven”.

Following this, Ricki-Lee announced that Phoebe had become the next contestant to move onto the Top Three.

“Thank you everyone for taking the time out of your life to appreciate music, the show and me. And I’m really happy I’m here. Thank you,” she said, fighting back tears.

After the ad break, Amy performed her new hit High On You with Sam Fischer.

Josh Hannan beat out Amali Dimond for the final spot in the Top Three

20-year-old Josh Hannan and 16-year-old Amali Dimond were the last to perform.

Josh performed Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley while Amali nailed Demi Lovato’s Warrior.

Kyle praised Josh’s song choice, calling him “a true star”, while also adding that he had a “red hot rocket chance” of winning.

Meghan said she “died” three times throughout the performance while lamenting that she didn’t like that the final spot would go to either him or Amali.

Meghan was at first lost for words before saying “You are a star!”.

“You’re just ready,” she added.

Amy said Amali was “beyond” just singing and had “star quality” and consistency.

Kyle said that Calvin Harris’ tour manager was interested in her.

Ricki-Lee then announced Josh as the third and final singer to perform in Sunday’s Grand Finale.

“It’s a bit emotional,” said Josh. “Everyone who voted for me. It is an absolute dream for me to be here.”

The judges told Amali that she was going to be a star, with Harry saying that she could “do anything” in the “showbiz world”.

Australian Idol Top Three

The winner of Australian Idol will receive a recording contract with industry giant Sony Music and $100,000 in prize money.

The Australian Idol Grand Finale will air on Sunday, March 26 at 7.00 pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

ICYMI: It’s Homestay Week, and as predicted, some of the MAFS couples did NOT ace it

It’s Homestay Week, i.e. when our Married at First Sight Australia 2023 couples pray to the reality TV God’s that they can pass this final hurdle to savage one another at Final Vows.

The six remaining couples are headed off on an adventure to help them “make the hardest decision of their lives”, although for episode 30, we will focus purely on Alyssa and Duncan, Lyndall and Cameron and Rupert and Evelyn.

While seeing them all in their element will be nice, we know the real reason for the ep split. If we focused on everyone, everywhere, all at once, it would surely turn into the “Bronte and Harrison (s**t) show”.

Tahnee and Ollie are perfect, although Ollie is still struggling from the Commitment Ceremony

Over in Tahnee and Ollie’s room, the pair reflect on their surprisingly emotional couch session.

In case you missed it, Ollie revealed that his insecurities were triggered by his bae spending time with Rupert in the Partner Swap Challenge.

While it was tough for this year’s youngest male participant, Ollie’s display of vulnerability won over Tahnee’s heart while also earning him the respect of the other couples.

Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.
Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.

Meanwhile, in hell… Bronte and Harrison — the show’s most unhinged couple — talk about the fact that they decided to “stay”.

“We own our s**t,” Bronte says before adding that they “fight and disagree”, but they “come back together” because they want to.

“To have people still question me….” Bronte says, “Harrison says it a lot. It’s deflection and projection.” No, it’s not, past Bronte. Please wait until you’ve watched it back…

Harrison, who once again has no boundaries, mocks Evelyn for calling him out on the couch and delivers this truly f**ked one-liner: “Not all kings wear crowns, some wear backwards hats.” FMAL.

Homestays begin… sort of…

While Melinda and Layton seem to be having zero fights this morning, the same couldn’t be said for Alyssa and Duncan, who haven’t even started packing. The couple is still processing the night before when Duncan opened up about his worst day during the experiment.

“I just feel hurt,” Alyssa tells him. “You were crying? It’s like I’m not getting all of you.”

Duncan stares at his wife in disbelief (see below), saying that it feels like Alyssa was hurt because he was hurt, and now our heads hurt…because it’s A LOT.

“Huh?”. Source: Nine.

“How is that encouraging me to share my emotions,” he asks her. Spoiler alert. It’s not and he deserves way better…

Alyssa says she’s not hurt by what he said; it’s more she’s hurt because he wouldn’t share said emotions… and does anyone else feel like this conversation is just going around in circles?!

“Don’t throw this on me,” she says. “That’s a dig at me…” and then, in the most passo agresso tone: “We should probably start packing!” Christ on a stick.

OK, now Homestay Week has officially begun!

Firstly, Harrison and Bronte both have white bed sheets. Cool.

Then, it’s time for Cam and Lyndall’s portion of the episode and Cam is finally back in the place he loves the most. Darwin.

But before heading home, the pair detours, and the show’s real star arrives. Bodie.

Bodie. Source: Nine.

Just look at this good boy!

He’s so heppy! Source: Nine.

The pair arrive at Cam’s home, and Lyndall meets his flatmates, Cal and Kate. Unfortunately, Lyndall’s name doesn’t start with a “kuh”; if this isn’t foreshadowing, we don’t know what is!

“I hope you’re not a Vegan,” Cal says before truly throwing his mate under the bus.

“It’s definitely not the first girl he’s bought a girl home.” LOL, and this, my friends, is why Homestays are the best stays.

“First relationship he’s been in, yeh.”

Cal for the next Bachelor!

Cam then shows Lyndall his stunning collection of… fishing rods and says something like, “don’t piss me off or I’ll feed you to the crocs”…

Meanwhile, at Duncan and Alyssa’s homestay…

At Duncan’s home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, he is rudely interrupted during a piece to camera by Alyssa’s yelling. Apparently, it took Alyssa only 18 minutes to get to his house, which would be nice if they were actually good for each other…

Since neither has to travel very far, we see both worlds in one episode. Unfortunately, this means that Duncan is about to be fed to the wolves within the hour. A.K.A by women from Alyssa’s mother’s group.

According to Alyssa, her friends Natalie and Nadia already know everything that happened between the pair and grill him immediately.

“It’s OK if it’s a concern,” Alyssa tells him when the topic of her child is brought up again.

“I’ve said this twenty times,” he says, unsure how else he can spell it out. He’s FINE with it.

“Nothing you say will appease me, Duncan.” Source: Nine.

Now with backup, Alyssa drops the bombshell of how much she can see him outside the experiment. Never.

“On Wednesdays and every other weekend,” she tells him, making Duncan question whether she even likes him.

Evelyn and Rupert’s Homestay begins

Rupert joins Evelyn in Sydney’s CBD… which is probably about a two minutes walk from Sky Suites… and here we met the next two stars of the show — Mustard and Pickles.

Rupert sets up a home-date — paint and sip — and even has the wine from their honeymoon. I don’t know when this couple became one of our favourites, but this is truly CUTE AF.

Evelyn is shocked to hear that Rupert has a three-year plan but is giddy by the revelation, and the couple even has a little kiss…

Source: Nine.

And then some…

Rupert is officially out of the friend zone, people!!!

Alyssa meets Duncan’s side of the family

After spending the night with her son, Alyssa meets Duncan’s sister Renee…and she’s STUNNING. This family has some GREAT genes…

Duncan’s sister, Renee. Source: Nine.

Even though Renee is there to get to know Alyssa, she raises concerns about her child again.

Renee defends her brother, saying that she hopes “in time” that they will be a “family unit” before both realise Duncan hasn’t spoken the entire time.

Alyssa then says she has to leave and pick up her child, calling it a “real-life scenario”, leaving Duncan and Renee to discuss Alyssa’s bombshell.

Meanwhile, back in Darwin…

Lyndall meets Andy — a mate of Cam’s and they go and kiss fish, or feed them out of their mouths or whatever, and I have a phobia of fish so this is gross…

“First kiss I’ve gotten all week,” Lyndall jokes. FORESHADOWING!

Then, the group sit down and have a lovely bbq. JOKES. They do not.

The mood has suddenly turned for Lyndall and Cam, who sneak into a shed for a private chat.

“Why the f**k are we together if you don’t even want to kiss me like…ever,” Lyndall says, adding that it doesn’t “feel right”.

Appaz Lyndall tried to kiss Cam in the water, and he rejected her.

In zero shock to anyone, Cam can’t understand why Lyndall is so upset and cannot validate her very normal feelings, calling it “ridiculous”.

“I just feel like I’m hanging out with a mate,” she says.

The pair then fight in front of his mate Luke (who tf is that), who is surprised by their issues.

Alyssa and Duncan can’t find a middle ground…out on Sydney’s harbour

Duncan takes Alyssa out on Sydney Harbour; and seriously, this man could not get any better.

Source: Nine.

He then makes the mistake of turning the conversation into airing his concerns, including what he’d learned during Homestays.

Alyssa is confused by his questions as she thinks they’ve had a good relationship. She is also devastated because she was going to tell Duncan that she was falling in love with him… which is confusing and not at all how we thought this would play out.

The pair end the date in separate areas on the boat, sitting silently.

And that’s what you missed…

ICYMI: There was HUGE twist on Australian Idol last night

The tables were turned during Australian Idol 2023 on March 19 as the viewers were in the driver’s seat, determining the hits the Top 6 would perform.

With the Grand Finale looming on Sunday, March 26, Queenslander Ben Sheehy, 24, was tasked with singing (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones.

Idol judge Amy Shark praised his vocal but was disappointed by the arrangement, saying it sounded like a Stones’ cover band; while Harry Connick Jr said he was comfortable in his “zone”.

Meanwhile, even though Kyle Sandilands previously said “rock was dead”, he conceded that Ben may just be ”the guy that revived rock music”.

Then 15-year-old Phoebe Stewart performed Birdy’s People Help the People.

Harry applauded her by saying she was “fantastic as always”, saying she had gone from a “wide-eyed little girl” to a confident performer with a mature sound.

Kyle said she could take the whole competition, while Phoebe admitted she didn’t get nervous before a performance! Amazing!

Following Phoebe’s performance, Harry was tasked with doing a shoey.

“I’m from Louisiana. We suck crawfish heads,” he said. “So, drinking ginger beer out of a shoe is not that adventurous!”

He then “upped the ante” by doing a “TimTam shoey slam”! LEGEND!

Amali Dimond performed next with the 16-year-old taking on Fly Away by Tones and I.

“Sign me up, I’m a Dimond Diva,” Kyle said. “You are a star as far as I’m concerned.”

While Harry loved Amali for using her artistry to change the arrangement, he did suggest that she try something more “stripped back” for the next performance.

Kyle disagreed with Harry, asking why an artist would change their signature style at this stage in the competition and Harry argued he wasn’t saying to change the musicality, just the presentation.

Idol judge Meghan Trainor was asked by viewers what gender her baby was; however, she declined to give an answer, while Amy was asked how she got her stage name.

Josh Hannan was told he had a “real shot” of winning Australian Idol

Performing Olivia Rodrigo’s Driver’s License, Harry said Australia had made a great song choice, calling it a “strong performance”.

Kyle finally agreed with Harry, saying he had a “real shot” at winning the competition.

Next up was Anya Hynninen. The 19-year-old performed Flowers by Miley Cyrus, with Amy complimenting her growing strength; however, Harry said he wanted to see more of her artistry, saying she could “take or leave” the advice.

Kyle, once again, disagreed with Harry and said it was a “competition” and wasn’t about “showing off”. He lamented that an audience wanted to be able to sing along and that Anya should “sing to win”.

Idol judge Meghan Trainor acknowledged Anya had one of the hardest songs tonight, given it is so popular and said she felt like she was “trapped”.

Kyle then performed 5000 Miles and, quite frankly, nailed it!

“That’s it, I’m too tired. I’m not paid to sing,” he said.

The judges announced a “shock” Australian Idol twist

Last to perform was 23-year-old Royston Sagigi-Baira, who performed True Colours by Cyndi Lauper.

“There’s a lot of love for you on this panel and show,” said Amy. “You’ve really come into your own on this show. That was fantastic.”

Then, in the biggest twist of the night, the judges revealed that they wouldn’t be saving an artist from the public vote: it was now Australia’s turn to decide.

Australian Idol airs 7.00 pm Sunday and 7.30 pm Mondays on Channel 7 and 7plus.

ICYMI: Here’s what happened during the final commitment ceremony on Married at First Sight

Christ on a bike! We’ve made it. It’s the final Commitment Ceremony of Married at First Sight Australia 2023 a.k.a episode 29!

If you can believe it, it’s been eight long weeks since the experiment began, and out of 12 OG and intruder couples, only SIX have made it to this point.

It’s been an intense week with a Couple Swap, a chaotic Dinner Party, and Bronte finally seeing the light; and frankly, everyone is f**king T.I.R.E.D.

After the sh**t show that was the second-last meal, most of the couples are at breaking point. Except for Tahnee and Ollie because they are perfect…

Couples perfection. Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.

Instead of focusing on their own issues, the other participants focus on the fact that Bronte and her idiot husband, Harrison, will be leaving the experiment after his remarks at the din dins. However, knowing ol’ mate, it will all be like “psych! we were joking!”

For Lyndall and Cameron, it has been a challenging morning. Since the DIDO carpenter admitted he doesn’t get reception when working and his inability to compromise, they are basically f**ked.

Meanwhile, Alyssa reveals that she’s “grilled” every single time she sits on the couch, and so she’s “not looking forward to it” and imagine how Duncan feels, girl!

Down the hall, Melinda and Layton are still unable to resolve their issues after Mel stormed out of ye olde Dinner Partae. After returning from the said MAFS family affair, the pair were in a stalemate and didn’t speak.

Then, before the Ceremony, they decided to reunite to talk things out and the Bride began to “question whether it was ever going to work”.

“I’m losing hope,” she says. Sad face.

Finally, it’s time for the final Commitment Ceremony, a.k.a Expert John‘s chance to blast Harrison one last time….

Melinda and Layton

Hoooo boy. These guys needed to break up eight weeks ago — which is sad because they’re actually pretty cute together when they’re not counting down the days between arguments.

Melinda pours her heart out in front of the Experts, reminiscing about the time when she first refused to take part in the Couple Swap with Layton joining her in solidarity before she changed her mind and had a sort of OK time with Harrison…

The Bride was frustrated because LayLay couldn’t see her point of view, and Expert John called him out for trying to control everything.

He then forced the Groom to realise that he needs to let his guard down and really “hear” what his wife has been banging on about all season.

Layton’s decision: Stay (“with two ‘x’s'”)

Melinda’s decision: Stay (“with ‘xoxo'”)

Tahnee and Ollie

Ollie and Tahnee MAFS Commitment Ceremony

Simply put, to me, they are perfect.

However, for the first time on the couch, a teeny tiny little crack appeared when Ollie admits he felt insecure when Tahnee hung out with Rupert for three days. He then admitted he often doesn’t feel good enough in life, which is absolutely an abomination since he is a perfect human specimen!

Tahnee then reassures him by saying he’s more than good enough, and in the words of Fix You by Coldplay, “Tearssss stream down (y)our face…”.

The couple realise that they need to vocalise their feelings rather than just showing it in other ways and Expert John commends Ollie for being “brave” and “vulnerable”.

Tahnee’s decision: Stay

Ollie’s decision: Stay

Rupert and Evelyn

There’s three people in Rupert and Evelyn’s relationship. Rupert, Evelyn and… Harrison.

Instead of discussing their own romantic pairing, Evelyn decides to rip Harry a new one, pulling him up on his meddlesome ways.

“Harrison, I think everyone can agree you’ve made comments about everyone on this couch in regards to their relationship,” she said before he defended himself like a five-year-old and said that “everyone made comments about US”.

After Evelyn interjects, he says: “That’s what you signed up for, love…” And no, no, no, no, NO.

Harrison MAFS

Melinda then pipes up to call out Har…— we don’t even want to say his name anymore — that guy for “bullying” and Lyndall joins in before he says: “Give it a rest!”

“You enjoy this,” Evelyn then says. “I really do think you enjoy this.”

“You’re a grown man talking to females. Have some respect,” Melinda says before that guy up there ^ interrupts and says: “Oh, don’t play the sex card. Grow up!”. AND BRO. Please.

Evelyn then calls his behaviour “hurtful”.

When Expert Mel decides she’s had enough of hearing the “H word”, she pulls Evelyn and Rupert back to what they’re here for. Each other.

Evelyn then admits that she’d like to be “courted” by Rupert more….like she is in the 1940s.

Evelyn’s decision: Stay

Rupert’s decision: Stay

After the decision, Evelyn had some choice words for the man who does not deserve a name.

Lyndall and Cameron

Cameron and Lyndall
Cameron and Lyndall. Source: Nine.

Lyndall and Cameron are the next to sit on the couch of doom, and while we already know how their story ends, the Experts wanna hear all the juicy details of the week.

Because he only communicates in one way, Cameron is adamant that he can’t give up his work commitments for love, meaning Lyndall will have to be the one to compromise.

Lyndall shares how she is feeling and says it’s a lot Cameron is asking of her. She then admits that she’s scared of bringing up the future, i.e. making it IRL official, because of how she thinks, nay, knows he’s going to react.

Cam says he just sees things in “black and white”, which is disappointing because the world is 100% in technicolour, but also acknowledges that he can change how he speaks.

Cameron’s decision: Stay

Lyndall’s decision: Stay

Duncan and Alyssa

Duncan and Alyssa
Duncan and Alyssa. Source: Nine.

Honestly, we wince every time Alyssa interacts with Prince Charming Duncan.

Duncan reveals how broken he was when Alyssa got up and left the experiment for a few days after the Couple Swap and the fact that she refuses to hear ANYTHING he is saying.

She then says she feels “blindsided” by the revelation because appaz he never told her how he was feeling.

Firstly, this is not only confusing but concerning, and secondly, someone needs to turn their listening ears on!

Duncan’s decision: Stay

Alyssa’s decision: Stay

Bronte and Harrison That Guy

That guy and Bronte. Source: Nine.

Give us strength! Should we really have to recap this part? To absolutely no surprise, That Guy and Bronte both decide to stay. The end.

The H word — who truly has no concept of reality — reveals that he had to put boundaries to “hold Bronte accountable” for HER behaviour. Honestly, we are so f**ked off by this man, we have zero tolerance for him anymore.

Apparently, he is annoyed that she talks poorly about him… and gets upset… and expresses that she ain’t putting up with toxic BS… and is living… that that he has had to put in “boundaries”. And Okkkk, bro.

After he’s questioned by Expert Mel if the same “boundaries” are put in place on his end, he lies out of his ass and says “absolutely”.

Bronte then says that Lyndall told her that her own husband had called her a “gaslighter” and “fake” before Melinda — his former arch nemesis turned couple swap partner — asks him if it’s true.

“I do not recall. Maybe? I dunno. Maybe I said it and am now saving myself,” he says. Well, he didn’t, but WE wish he’d take some accountability for his truly heinous behaviour.

Melinda, who does not want a bar of him today, calls him out. Again.

As per our previous email, the couple chooses to stay — which is toxic goddamn sh**, in our opinion and the rest of the participants give ’em hell…which causes That Guy to pipe up and fight back.

Bronte’s decision: Stay

Harrison’s That Guy’s decision: Stay

SMDH just like Expert John… and Tahnee, whose reaction is all of us at this point.

And that’s what you missed….

Are MAFS’ Cameron and Lyndall still together after Cam’s DIDO revelation?

If there’s one thing we love more than drama on Married at First Sight Australia, it’s whether the couples are still together, and this time, we’re putting the spotlight on Cameron “Cam” Woods and Lyndall Grace.

At the time of publication, Lyndall was left devastated by Cam’s admission that he not only works drive-in-drive-out (DIDO), but can also be stationed in such remote areas of Darwin that he has zero reception.

Not only that, during the sixth cursed dinner party, the 27-year-old carpenter announced that some of his jobs in Indigenous communities take him away for up to a year! A WHOLE YEAR!

While their relationship started strong, they have had their fair share of ups and downs, and now, as the Daily Mail reports, it seems the couple is not only donezo, but they aren’t even on speaking terms!

“The lines of communication broke down completely,” an insider told the publication before adding that they “limped” towards the final vows.

“Lyndall lets Cam have it during the final vows, and he was not impressed with her one bit.”

According to the source, Lyndall does not “hold back and completely savages the poor guy”.

“He was completely dumbfounded by it,” they said.

This isn’t very surprising given what the couple have been through in the experiment, including Cam’s mum calling Lyndall “insecure” and Lyndall seeing the light after spending time with the perfect specimen, Ollie Skelton during the Partner Swap.
