Farmer Dave Graham and Shazli’s Engagement Announcement

Dave first met Shazli in a local pub in 2021 and at the time, felt he had hit the “jackpot”.

“I thought I had hit the jackpot,” he told the outlet. “He was so polite and well-mannered, not to mention good-looking!”

According to the 42-year-old, he was the one to propose, revealing that he had surprised his now fiancé with a romantic song on bended knee.

“At the end, I asked him, ‘Would you join me and journey together through the rest of our lives and marry me?’. He looked at me tearfully and I knew it was a yes!”

Taking to Instagram, he shared how “in love” he was.

“After a lifetime of looking, I am absolutely and completely in love with the kindest, calmest, most decent hard-working bloke who balances me perfectly,” he penned.

“I was the guy who was told a thousand times when you least expect it, it will happen…and it did!”

He then unveiled an official engagement photoshoot with Woman’s Day.

Farmer Dave first appeared on Big Brother in 2006 and became the first person to come out as gay on national television.
