Interview: We know when Australian Survivor 2024 contestants will officially join the Jury

Spoiler: it's not straight after Merge

The Titans and Rebels joined forces after the Australian Survivor 2024 Merge, but does that mean anyone who’s voted off will automatically go to the Jury?

Apparently not! Eliminated contestants Winna and Eden told Chattr in an exclusive interview when the contestants will get to join Jury – and the Jury villa.

Winna from Australian Survivor won't be on jury

“I’m off the Jury,” Winna said after his February 26th elimination. “I was not able to vote for the winner and stick around with everyone on the Jury.”

“I didn’t get to go to Jury villa, he added. “Because after the Merge, there are a few days where some people who get voted off don’t go to jury, so I was gutted.”

Given that one more contestant, Eden, has been voted off since Winna left, it shouldn’t be long until all of the eliminated contestants automatically go to Jury.

Eden from Australian Survivor won't be on jury

The Jury attends the final Tribal Council where the final three contestants state their case to win. The Jury has the power to cast one vote each towards who they think should be the sole Survivor, and the castaway with the most votes wins the season.

What did Eden say about missing out on Jury?

Though he made it to Merge, Survivor superfan Eden fell short of getting on the Jury, and he said he was sorely disappointed.

“To just miss out on the Jury and being to answer questions, that’s so part of the experience for me, so I was down,” he said.

In past years, Channel 10 has released short clips on their website which show the newly eliminated contestants entering the Jury villa, as well as the shenanigans that are going down there. Eden thinks that excluding him from the Jury meant missing out on some hilarious antics.

“The people that are disappointed would be the Australian public. It would have been so much fun, so much good content out there!”

“I feel like my personality and what I was trying to do in the game and have fun, I think that really could have come through at the Jury villa.

Eden even prepared his question for the final Tribal Council, and he explained that he was inspired by Sue Hawks, who appeared on the American Survivor season, Borneo and All Stars.

“It’s a nod to Sue Hawks for her season of Survivor, its: ‘On the island, we crabs and spiders and that’s what I see here before me today’ and then I’d make an analogy about the island.

“I’m super shattered, I was even out there thinking like can they just put me on the Jury? Can we just change things up?”
