Gone are the days when viewers in Australia missed out on watching all the new Survivor US drops as soon as they aired in America.
Thanks to some new broadcast deals, Survivor US Season 48 is available to watch in Australia at practically the same time it drops in the Northern Hemisphere.
Unlike Australian Survivor, the new season, which is filmed in Fiji and sees a group of castaways battle it out for a million $USD prize, doesn’t have a theme. In fact, ever since Survivor US entered its new-era in Season 41, it did away with themed seasons.
Regardless of the lack of a theme, Survivor US host and Executive Producer Jeff Probst is confident that Season 48 will be a success.
“I think Survivor 48 is going to satisfy on a lot of levels. And there are some moments that have never happened,” he said.
“I think Survivor right now is as good as it’s ever been. And I say that not with hubris but with confidence that our storytelling is as good as we have ever been. Our casting is as good as it’s ever been. The game design is as good as it’s ever been. “
