There’s a new show coming to Netflix which is basically a crossover between Big Brother and Married At First Sight (MAFS). What could go wrong with a live-streamed version of MAFS?
Called Netflix, Will You Marry Me, the British show focuses on an eligible bachelor looking for his Mrs Right. The Netflix groom will live inside a house with a select group of brides hoping to find their happily ever after.
However, instead of shows like The Bachelor where the man makes the choice to eliminate women from the mansion, the audience holds the power, like in Big Brother.
Cameras will stream live for 12 episodes, while viewers decide what happens next. They’ll be able to vote on who stays, who leaves, and who the groom marries in the live finale.
The official synopsis is as follows: “Across four weeks and 12 live episodes, one man will hand over total control to the Netflix viewers to find his true love and ask the audience, ‘Netflix, Will You Marry Me?’ Every big decision and every dramatic exit will be voted for by Netflix members. Get ready for a whirlwind of dates, drama and fairytale romance all leading to one genuine, live televised proposal — the question is who do you choose? It’s his life and your choice.”

Netflix, Will You Marry Me is set to hit our screens in 2027. There will be 12 episodes aired over four weeks.

The show will be executive produced by Katy Manley (Big Brother) and Tamsin Dodgson, along with Workerbee’s Michelle Chappell and Rick Murray.
Tudum says it’s an epic game of Cupid. “The thrill of swiping on friends’ dating apps just got amplified. The stakes are high, but the reward is playing a hand in connecting soulmates,” Netflix’s publication wrote.
“Every big decision and every dramatic exit is your choice. Because this isn’t just his dating journey; it’s yours, too.”
Fans can’t wait for the MAFS and Big Brother crossover
Comments on the new show are mixed, but there are many die-hard reality TV fans desperate to watch it.
“This sounds so painfully cheesy… count me in,” one person wrote.
“Hoping for it to be a car crash… definitely worth the watch if it is,” another said.
