Where is Nat from?

Nat was born in Melbourne, Australia and is of Thai heritage. She has two younger brothers and grew up in a busy family of five on Melbourne’s outskirts, where she was raised as traditionally Thai.

Nat moved from Australia in 2016 to travel and live overseas and loved taking on adrenaline-fuelled adventures during her time away, including snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing and skydiving.

She takes great pride in her Thai roots, and hopes to represent her culture through her food, personality and style on MasterChef Australia 2024.

Nat’s cooking style

As well as taking inspiration from her Thai heritage, Nat loves to cook traditional comfort food with a modern flair.

According to her Channel 10 bio, she hopes to influence conversations that redefine Australian food and what it means to be Australian.

She counts her grandmother, Purd Boonpun, as a huge influence, and says that she further inspired her love of cooking even after her passing, as she witnessed food’s place in grief and healing.
