The Block 2024 has kicked off filming and we’ve got leaked photos of the new batch of contestants posing for their promo photoshoot.
Instagram account The Blockinator Blog published the pics of the new cast, which were taken by Doug Peters.
The pics clearly show four teams of Blockheads, which has us questioning whether there is a fifth team, and if so, if they’re returning contestants.
There’s clearly a yellow, red, green and blue team – but where is the purple team?!
Are there any more photos of The Block 2024 contestants filming?
Yup, the same account has shared several photos of the new Blockheads filming the show. The pics are grainy, but we’re salivating for absolutely anything at this point, as this is the first leaked information for The Block 2024.

Where is The Block 2024 filmed?
This year, the renovations will be taking place by the sea on Phillip Island in Victoria.
“Nothing is more important to us than delivering an incredible season for our 20th anniversary,” Executive producer Julian Cress told 9Entertainment.
“It’s such a big milestone for us and we are absolutely delighted that we found the perfect location in such a wonderful holiday destination in Phillip Island.”
The renovations will take place at a popular holiday park, which has already been purchased by Channel Nine and is ready to be built at.
“We’ve purchased a holiday park just around the corner from the world-famous Penguin Parade, and so far the community has shown huge support for us and we are hoping for a really warm welcome for our new crop of contestants in the 20th year.”
Will there be returning contestants?
The Block seasons All Stars, Fans v Faves and Triple Threat have all included returning contestants, so there’s a possibility that history could repeat itself again on The Block 2024.
The Block 2023 contestants Kyle and Lesley have already voiced their desire to return for the upcoming season.
“If they called us, there would be no hesitation,” Leslie told Yahoo Lifestyle in January. “Now we’ve done it, I feel like we’d go in with a bit more gameplay than what we did before.”
The Block 2024 will air on Channel 9 and 9Now in 2024.
