McDonald's to Introduce All You Can Eat Fries

If you’re a McDonald’s fan, and you love their French fries, then you’re going to love this. (Only for a split second, though).

There’s no doubt that McDonald’s fries taste ridiculously amazing. There’s nothing like the satisfaction of finishing your meal, and looking into your brown McDonald’s bag and finding a few extra fries – or as my friends like to call them ‘bag chips’.

For some lucky McDonald’s fans, that may not be the end of it. Because soon, they’ll have access to all you can eat fries. Endless fries, if you will. Fries that can last forever.

A brand new McDonald’s is being built in Missouri, and the all-you-can-eat fries will be available there – and as some claim, this is unlike any other McDonald’s in the country.

The McDonald’s will offer custom-built burgers also (much like the Create Your Taste menu we’ve got here in Australia), but there will be sofas, table service and much more.

Is this the end of McDonald’s as we know it?

This option seems like it would definitely appeal to customers. But, if it were available 12 years ago, during Morgan Spurlock’s 2004 documentary film Super Size Me, would he have even needed to ask to be supersized? Or could he just have used the all you can eat option?

The only franchise promising the landslide of the fries is going to be situated in St Joseph, north of Kansas City in Missouri and it hasn’t actually been built yet – the grand opening is set for July, according to owner Chris Habiger.

The 6,500 square foot St Joseph restaurant will also offer customisable desserts, sandwiches and burgers, as well as table service, Habiger told the St. Joseph News-Press. This way, customers can eat as many fries as their hearts desire, for as long as their heart can actually remain functional.

Customers will be able to laze around on modern-looking couches and arm chairs, with children having the option of an interactive play area and a party room also available (for rent, of course).

“Today’s customers seek a comfortable and inviting atmosphere,” Mr Harbiger said. “So we’re committed to providing a modern look and feel to this restaurant.”

Although McDonald’s fries may be the best damn fries ever, this clearly isn’t the healthiest option. But St Joseph can enjoy the fact that they’re the only McDonald’s in the whole world that will offer endless fries, so there’s that, I guess.
